We were very grateful when we made our reservation and were allowed to use Passport America for our first night stay and Good Sam for the second night. The owner tried to work with us to get our satellite dish connected, but warned us that they have a lot of trees and they might interfere. They did. She assured us that they have every cable channel we would want so we hooked it up. I haven't seen this much snow on a TV since I was a kid watching a black and white with rabbit ears. As others have indicated this park is strangely organized. The back in sites on the perimeter of the park are pretty typical, but the center has pull throughs designed for two rigs parked nose to tail. We could not take the site we were supposed to take because the folks who were supposed to park in front of us weren't here yet. Very inconvenient. There was room for people to back in on this odd sites, but the owners have had bad experiences with RV'ers hitting other people's rigs. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stopped here on our drive from Oregon to San Diego. Great little spot to spend a night. We were happy to have a very shady spot since it was over 100 degrees when we arrived. They only offer 30 amp service, so it took a while to cool down the rig. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was very smokey while we were there so we couldn't see Mount Shasta - but there is a view of the mountain from the campground. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

As our site was a tandem site, we had to wait for the fellow in front of us to wake up from his nap to take his tow car off! The sites are extremely narrow and dirt. The driveway into the park was awful, deep pot holes! Couple is trying to fix up but have a long way to go. Back in sites looked narrow so that slides would not open. We will not stay here again. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy access with long pull through sites. However the second arrival pulls in behind the first. It did not alter our stay as we were first. Really nice reception at check in and out site was easy to drive to. No fenced-in pet area which would have been great for our Labrador who seeks what's over the mountain. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice little park. Very clean and quiet. We did not hear any freeway noise from our site. The pull-in sites are easy to navigate (the park manager was a great navigator!). However they are tandem and not quite private, as they are close to the next one. Our coach fit fine though we were too close for comfort to the neighbor, It was a little unnerving seeing them pull in and set up. We held our breath a few times. If you stay our suggestion is, if possible, not choose a pull-through site. The park is close to Shasta and there are some stores close by. There are long term renters in the back area of the park. The two managers are about the friendliest we have ever met. Very kind and helpful. WiFi and Cable TV worked great. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

see other reviews that cover all essential information. We would have reviewed higher if we were not "stacked" two in a row in the pull thrus. We had to wait for the people in front to pull out before we could leave. I liked that better than holding others up but still it can be a problem...if you are an early riser ask for a site in the front! or a back in. We loved this park, the flowers, the nice amenities and the friendly staff; we will return. The washer/dryers are on the honor system: $2.00 each...My husband said the men's showers are not private, you must step out of the shower to dry off and dress in the open area. The women's had doors and a dressing area. The women's bathroom has one toilet with a door and one toilet for the handicapped with a curtain. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great campground. We stayed a week and just relaxed. There are some sites that are long pull thrus that have hook ups at each end, so two can share. Seems these sites are for overnights. Around the edges and in the back are back-in sites. Most seem to be full time or long term stays. We were put in a pull thru site (I) that was by itself with large spaces between each. We had the camp road next to us. Only a few cars a day went past. We had some pine trees lining the site for a little privacy. Very quiet at night. Park was recently bought and has new managers, husband and wife team. Both very friendly and extremely helpful. They are diligently working on improvements. While we were there they built and painted 4 picnic tables for sites that didn't have one. Our table was sanded and sealed. Cable has over 50 channels and WIFI worked good. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice place to stay while visiting Mt. Shasta area. The staff were very nice. They even trimmed a branch that would have scratched our motorhome. The park is right beside a Pilot truck stop however you really don't notice it. There is also a railroad on the other side but we only heard the trains a few times. Our 50 amp went out after the 2nd day so we had to use 30 amp for the last 2 days. Didn't really affect us but I dropped my rating 1 point because they didn't even try to fix it while we there. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Visit Castle Crags State Park for some awesome views. Drive up the Shasta mountain road to Bunny Flats. When we were there we saw tons of snow! We ate at the original Big Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta.

Park has new ownership that is making improvements. Exceptionally nice tiled restroom/shower. The atmosphere is indeed friendly, starting with the managers who check you in. Overnight pull-through area is very neat/clean; back-ins around edge more rustic with trees. Wi-fi was not reliable for us. Convenient to freeway but no freeway noise. We would stay again as a stopover, esp. with Passport America rate. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for the night in a 45' motorhome with tow, will be back for sure as the owners are the most accommodating, friendly and personable people ever! The park has beautiful views of the mountains and easy access off highway with next to no noise. Access to Pilot and restaurants are within walking distance. Very nice clean, well maintained park. Strange layout in this park. The entrance is confusing with no signs to direct you to the office. The pull thru sites are actually two sites front to back. We took up two sites with our motorhome and attached toad. The park backs up to a truck station so there is noise from there and from the highway. The WII FII did not work. Directv did not work due to trees. Verizon coverage was reasonable. Decent view of Mt Shasta if it's a clear day. It's ok for overnight but not as a destination park. This is an outstanding park! Check in was busy but we were warmly greeted and assisted by other staff until we could register. The setting is beautiful and we were given a spot with a view of Mt Shasta. Lots of pull through sites. Wifi was strong and cable channels numerous and clear. Our Verizon signal was very strong too. The Passport America rate made this a fantastic bargain. Friendly permanent residents and very quiet. There are new owners here and they are wonderful! We would absolutely come back and stay longer next time. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is under new ownership and has potential. Staff was very friendly but we got the feeling that they need to learn a bit about running an RV park. They were most willing to hear the suggestions we made. Out site was a back in, under beautiful trees. The pad was asphalt but the rest of the site was dusty and dirty. There aren't a lot of sites currently in the park. Maybe by next summer season they will be more organized. We would stay here again but would ask for a paved site towards the middle. The park is right at the base of Mount Shasta and does offer spectacular views. Also, they didn't have park maps to give out so we had trouble finding the place to put our garbage; and, we weren't sure where the bathrooms and showers were. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.
