We were very grateful when we made our reservation and were allowed to use Passport America for our first night stay and Good Sam for the second night. The owner tried to work with us to get our satellite dish connected, but warned us that they have a lot of trees and they might interfere. They did. She assured us that they have every cable channel we would want so we hooked it up. I haven't seen this much snow on a TV since I was a kid watching a black and white with rabbit ears. As others have indicated this park is strangely organized. The back in sites on the perimeter of the park are pretty typical, but the center has pull throughs designed for two rigs parked nose to tail. We could not take the site we were supposed to take because the folks who were supposed to park in front of us weren't here yet. Very inconvenient. There was room for people to back in on this odd sites, but the owners have had bad experiences with RV'ers hitting other people's rigs. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stopped here on our drive from Oregon to San Diego. Great little spot to spend a night. We were happy to have a very shady spot since it was over 100 degrees when we arrived. They only offer 30 amp service, so it took a while to cool down the rig. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was very smokey while we were there so we couldn't see Mount Shasta - but there is a view of the mountain from the campground. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park easy to navigate, level, good utilities (an exception later), nice restrooms/showers, great staff. Get a reservation. During our stay the place filled nightly with overnighters from I-5. Though close, the hwy provided very little noise. The Pilot Truck stop contributed more noise but not bad. The exception noted above is that we lost power at the post at about 6 pm on a 100 degree day. The manager and owner began to deal with it immediately but before a professional diagnosed the problem it was too late to get parts. About a half dozen other sites had this problem. Things happen, and we respect the attempt to fix it. Yet, we find AC a necessity in this sort of weather, as do other seniors. It did cool enough to spend the night. One thing I find troubling is that the owner, manager, and camp host never said anything like "sorry this happened" or much less a rebate or other discount on this or future camping. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

As our site was a tandem site, we had to wait for the fellow in front of us to wake up from his nap to take his tow car off! The sites are extremely narrow and dirt. The driveway into the park was awful, deep pot holes! Couple is trying to fix up but have a long way to go. Back in sites looked narrow so that slides would not open. We will not stay here again. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

As others noted, the pull throughs are different in that the second arrival pulls in behind the first. I can see the potential for being trapped but that did not happen during our stay. The pull through overnight spots were all occupied and every one of us pulled out the bbq and sat outside. I mention this because because overnight parks frequently do not inspire this. There is a truck stop nearby but there is also a wonderful view of Mt Shasta. We would stay here again. Verizon was 4G and lots of bars. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy access with long pull through sites. However the second arrival pulls in behind the first. It did not alter our stay as we were first. Really nice reception at check in and out site was easy to drive to. No fenced-in pet area which would have been great for our Labrador who seeks what's over the mountain. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice little park. Very clean and quiet. We did not hear any freeway noise from our site. The pull-in sites are easy to navigate (the park manager was a great navigator!). However they are tandem and not quite private, as they are close to the next one. Our coach fit fine though we were too close for comfort to the neighbor, It was a little unnerving seeing them pull in and set up. We held our breath a few times. If you stay our suggestion is, if possible, not choose a pull-through site. The park is close to Shasta and there are some stores close by. There are long term renters in the back area of the park. The two managers are about the friendliest we have ever met. Very kind and helpful. WiFi and Cable TV worked great. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed at 'Friendly' on our way to Yosemite. Camp hosts are wonderful folks who were welcoming and helpful. What a neat location, near the western slopes of Mt Shasta. It's under new ownership, with upgrades coming soon. Would stay again. Recommended. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

see other reviews that cover all essential information. We would have reviewed higher if we were not "stacked" two in a row in the pull thrus. We had to wait for the people in front to pull out before we could leave. I liked that better than holding others up but still it can be a problem...if you are an early riser ask for a site in the front! or a back in. We loved this park, the flowers, the nice amenities and the friendly staff; we will return. The washer/dryers are on the honor system: $2.00 each...My husband said the men's showers are not private, you must step out of the shower to dry off and dress in the open area. The women's had doors and a dressing area. The women's bathroom has one toilet with a door and one toilet for the handicapped with a curtain. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Greeting was "Friendly" in office, info. was helpful. We were lead to our site by a "Friendly" gentleman who offered assistance if needed. Pull through section was very level, smooth, easy to navigate, and neat. Paved site was plenty wide enough for all slides plus we were able to park the Dually next to the coach. Park is dog "Friendly" with a pleasant wooded smooth area in front by entrance. Disposal & bags in rear. The park has sufficient lighting for last calls. WiFi was actually good! Restrooms are clean & neat, plenty of HW, pressure is good. Showers are roomy as is changing area. Although there are truck stops nearby we had no objections during cool weather. Well run RV park, large coach "Friendly" would stay again. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great campground. We stayed a week and just relaxed. There are some sites that are long pull thrus that have hook ups at each end, so two can share. Seems these sites are for overnights. Around the edges and in the back are back-in sites. Most seem to be full time or long term stays. We were put in a pull thru site (I) that was by itself with large spaces between each. We had the camp road next to us. Only a few cars a day went past. We had some pine trees lining the site for a little privacy. Very quiet at night. Park was recently bought and has new managers, husband and wife team. Both very friendly and extremely helpful. They are diligently working on improvements. While we were there they built and painted 4 picnic tables for sites that didn't have one. Our table was sanded and sealed. Cable has over 50 channels and WIFI worked good. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice place to stay while visiting Mt. Shasta area. The staff were very nice. They even trimmed a branch that would have scratched our motorhome. The park is right beside a Pilot truck stop however you really don't notice it. There is also a railroad on the other side but we only heard the trains a few times. Our 50 amp went out after the 2nd day so we had to use 30 amp for the last 2 days. Didn't really affect us but I dropped my rating 1 point because they didn't even try to fix it while we there. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.
