This KOA park is leaving the KOA system and will no longer be affiliated with KOA effective January 1, 2015. According to the management, they need to invest the amount they pay KOA each year in improving the campground. Whatever the case may be, they definitely need to invest in improvements. The sites need lots of work! They are very long, but very narrow and the utilities are placed in very odd places. Our sewer connection was at the front of the site (we had to couple two hoses together to reach it) and raised about a foot off the ground. The other utilities were at the back. Our jacks sunk through the thin layer of gravel and ended about 8 inches down into the mud. After we stacked blocks in the muddy hole, we were finally able to get leveled. Don't get me wrong, the park is not terrible and is probably the best place to stay in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful and are working hard to maintain the park and keep the facilities clean and functional. We are sorry to see them leave the KOA system and we hope they carry through on their promise to invest in improvements. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

We stayed over Thanksgiving Week. It is a nice campground with level gravel sites. The 30 AMP row we were in had one electric post for every 2 sites, so you had a 50% chance of having to run your electric under your coach to the other site. The sites are pretty close together, but this is a more urban campground. Very nice for visiting Sacramento, Davis, and Gold Country. Large dog run area, large game room, tetherball for the kids. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
Safeway is not far for food, they do have a 24 Karat Grill, to provide hot food at the campground. Most of the RV sites are pull through.

Adequate park with shade trees. Sites are a bit tight. Nice, large dog park. Wifi was additional charge. We were with a tour so did not make arrangements or pay. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Stayed for overnight and site large enough so did not have to unhook 5th wheel. 30 amp only weather was ok. No frills very basic but secure. Staff was friendly and helpful. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This is a very nice park with huge gravel spaces. The office has odd hours, closing at 5pm. We asked if we could have a campfire and they said yes, however there was no place to have one. Laundry facilities are old and in need of a good cleaning. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Gravel sites with some shade, good cable, and WiFi. The water and electric hookups were on opposite sides of the coach. Had to run the electric cord underneath the rig. Electric went out at my site, but the staff were pretty efficient at making a repair. There was a large fenced dog run with water spigots and a food truck that serves breakfast and/or lunch and will also deliver to your site if you wish. Not easy to find because there was so much construction on the freeway, but hopefully that will change. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $40.00
Camping very average and without interest. Facilities do not have any class and they are very simple. It is a good place to visit Sacramento. Just for the night. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

This park is adequate for visiting Sacramento. pull-through sites are long enough, but utility placement can cause problems. We had to go out and buy a new sewer hose in order to hook up. Cable is adequate, not great; Wi-Fi works well at times, works not at all at other times. Park can get very crowded when full. Water pressure was somewhat low. Small laundry was $1.50 per machine, with one machine broken the whole time we were there. The pool was clean. We appreciated that, unlike some other KOAs, they did not charge us a "visitor charge" when we had visitors for a couple of hours. We would stay here again if in the area. Well located if visiting Sacramento and that is the only reason to stay here. The park sits between two freeways and is very noisy. The sites are narrow and the hook-ups are problematic. The campground is clean and well maintained for an older park, but the noise, tight sites, and misplaced hook-ups are the negatives, if visiting Sac it is one of the few options, not sure if we would stay here again. I'd give this park 6 1/2 stars. We showed up without a reservation. The first site they gave us had low branches that needed to be trimmed that prevented us from getting to the site. The friendly staff then found me a better site. That said, all of the sites are way too close together. We could put our slides out, but they were right on top of each other. The site was gravel and I had to put my trailer on blocks to level it (many of the other guests had done the same). The wifi wouldn't load basic websites. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, though the pool deck had a soaked (I hope it wasn't dirty) diaper on it. This is a good place to stop for the night, but not much more than that. The owners were really nice, and they hosted a free marshmallow roast. There's a Starbucks right across the intersection from the park with a nice cul-de-sac with room to u-turn and park our truck and 38' foot fifth wheel and that upped the rating by half a star. We were very pleasantly surprised with this park. It was right off the highway and there was a little noise, but it didn't bother us. The sites were a little tight with our slides out, but the shade trees and lots of grass were very inviting. They offered a nice dog park and they even had a food truck offering breakfast and lunch. They made a nice breakfast for us. We were in the area to visit family and this worked well for us. We would definitely stay here again. Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $43.00
Rate was with a KOA membership card, 30-amp. Level gravel/dirt sites and most are pull-through. Every other site has utilities on the wrong side so you must run your electricity and water under your RV. Most with shade and picnic table. WiFi worked great, 35-channel cable TV. This is an older KOA, playground could use an upgrade, community fire-pit, family orientated. Some freeway noise at night. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Level sites – mostly pull-through. All facilities including Wi-Fi very good. Lots of activities for kids. Convenient to the freeway. Easy to visit Old Sacrament. All facilities good including Wi-Fi. Staff very helpful and friendly. Do believe rate was high. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We have stayed before when going to Southern California and like before, this was just a stop-over. Clean, friendly staff, check-in is easy, nice supplies in the office, and all in all a very nice, well maintained RV park. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo
