Overall Rating:

The place was way over priced for what we got. We stayed in a tiny teardrop trailer and the power plug for 120 didn't work. Had to use an adaptor from 220. The restroom near us had no paper towels the entire time we were there and despite the fact that we were given a code, the lock on the women's restroom did not work. The floor by the shower sank when I stepped on it (I only weigh 190 lb). The entire building leaned on it's foundation. The other building looked new but the one I used needed to be torn down! The sites were gravel and dusty with small strips of grass between them. When we arrived the host said we could park our trailers after check out in a secure lot while we went in to town to see the sights. When we went to take them up on it they wanted $20 per trailer for the privilege. We felt very mislead and ripped off! We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Site was no where close top being level and was gravel with bad ruts. The heat on this stay was bad and all we could get was 105 for volts and dropped to 99! Totally unacceptable. The roads are somewhat passable. Didn't have any problems expect for the lack of good power. Neighbor was so close my awning was 3' from neighbor. Told my wife if I ever thought about this CG again to please put me out to pasture cause I am GONE! Would not stay here again. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

At that price had modest expectations.

Leaking, low water pressure.

Virtually unusable WIFI.

Sewer connection 16' from my hookup. (had to use their dump station)

To top it off-- at 8:51am a guy with a LEAFBLOWER comes sauntering down the lane behind my rig, blows not leaves but DIRT into my bedroom window....then down the lane in front to leave a beautiful coat of dirt over the front half of my truck.

Would not return and certainly never recommend. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall could be a nice park but their electric hookups don't have enough voltage. We had to run our generator to have ac in 100 degree heat while paying for full service at the park. Our neighbors in the park having same problems. On the plus side they allowed us to leave early with a refund.

Good Sam should lower their ratings. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Reviews from April & June 2015 are accurate. Sites too skinny, low hanging branches need trimming. Old KOA park, our site had water/power hookups on the passenger side; had to run hose & cord under bus & unsightly/inconvenient being on our "front yard" area, along with hose/cord/sewer hose from neighbor. Site was thrashed when we pulled in, dog food & trash scattered all over. Price is the daily rate, weekly is charged 6 full days, no discount, & 7th nite "free". $49 per nite is terribly overpriced for this dump, especially since it is only 30A service. Residents need to clean up their sites. Will not return here again. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We had a reservation for 2 nights but cancelled the second night after viewing the showers and bathrooms in both areas of the park. There was a weird odor and they were very dirty. This is definitely a kid friendly park, they were all over, running through sites. Check in was easy but the young lad at the desk rattled so many items so fast I had to ask again where the site was. There was a power interruption at our site and 2 adjacent to us. This was remedied. Folks were always walking through the sites. I will not return. The RV park is not the best choice for someone who wants to visit Sacramento and does not bring a separate car or other vehicle. It was slightly too loud to relax. It is nice for families with children. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night on our way north. Nice people, good location. However, it was raining the day we stayed here, and the third row of sites (where we were situated) is on low ground, with no drainage, so we ended up camped in about 4 inches of water. As in, the entire campsite was under water, no ground for yards around us. Also, the bathrooms were nice enough but had a strong septic odor -- not properly ventilated. The showers were also difficult for me at 5' 9" -- I was looking down at the top of the shower head. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The positives: The store was really nice. The people who worked there were really nice, and seemed to be working hard to plant more flowers and fix up the place. We actually elected to leave sooner than our reservation and they very politely refunded my money. The negatives: Unlike many KOAs, this was not really a family friend place. It is a giant, gravel parking lot with no trees or bushes between sites. There is just a picnic table and hook-ups between each site. There are no fire pits, nothing that would suggest camping. The pool is very small and was closed for repairs when we arrived (in mid July). It is very close to the interstate. Usually KOAs are nice places to take families with small children, this place is simply a place to hook-up while you are staying in the Sacramento area. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.
