Rate reflects a monthly rate. A variety of site styles depending on your need. Larger lots for those that need more room and longer stays. Transient sites are closer. The new owners are working hard at upgrades. This park will be much nicer as the work continues. Yes, you are in the desert. 10 minutes to Yuma. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a decent park, while it's facilities are dated they are all usable and nice. The 50 amp sites are large enough for the big rigs and they are wide and spacious. The downfall would be the dust from the roads and the surrounding are but you are in the desert. We would definitely come back. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Access to the park is easy from the freeway and the road to the park was paved but pretty rough. We arrived early but we were allowed to move in. Check in was pleasant and easy except they needed to know if we had any formaldehyde in our holding tanks. Apparently it is illegal in California. We had never encountered this situation before. The park rules are pretty basic. Parameter roads are dirt but wide and smooth (Big Rig friendly). Our site was level dirt with a concrete patio. The sites are small and close together. There is no privacy at all but it is hard to maintain greenery in a desert though so no points lost for that. Our services were well placed to the left rear. The last person that used our spot somehow hit the water pipe. I reported it to the office and it was repaired right away. (Brownie points gained.) Our site did not have a table or fire pit. The WiFi is free but not available at your site. You must bring your device to the dining room. There is no Cable TV but we did find some OTA channels. Satellite would not be an issue. The pool & tot tub were clean and inviting. There is a billiard room, book & video exchange at he office. Plenty of dumpsters. There is no recycling program in place. There is no shopping or food services within walking distance. The city of Yuma is about a 10 minute drive. All services are available there. There is a Service Station just off of the freeway that sells some grocery items. Although this park is sadly lacking in space and privacy, it served us well. We feel that we received fair value for our dollar. We paid $30.00 and would return. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We did not stay because we were not allowed to keep our enclosed trailer with a freezer on the lot. The park needs improvement and bathrooms need updating and the lots are small. One lady in the office had an attitude problem. Any park that won't let us park our enclosed trailer next to our motor home will never get our business. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects ROD membership and fee for 50 amp service. Came to Pilot Knob due to proximity to Los Algodones, MX dentist visit. Park was dusty, barren, and pool and pool area were not clean. Hot tub had 1 man and 2 children in it and there was no additional room available. It did not look clean either. Check-in was expedient, however requested site facing east and was given one facing due west. Several very hot days. Extension needed to hook up electric as post was on the passenger side of the rig. We will not stay again unless visiting the dentist. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Well maintained, ample sites. Workers are doing a great job keeping trees pruned for the back ins. Thoughtful registration gave us a site with shade. Electric is constant, no shut off. Suggest a charge protector on your rig. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow! What a difference a few months make, this park has made a change for the BETTER! The staff was wonderful and very accomodating, even allowed us to store our motorcycle when we went to Mexico for the week!!! They accept visitor mail and packages, no site # needed. All the facilities have been repaired and if something does break, maintenance is right there to fix it. My only lingering complaint is the cleanliness of pool and hot tub, pool could use a good vacuum, hot tub probably drain and start over. The sites are relatively wide with a nice size concrete pad, fhu. Some pull throughs, 30 or 50 amp not always both but they are trying to upgrade that. Dog run, nice garden sitting area, some social activities, beautiful views of sunset and the very best night view of the church at the Center of the World, Felicity. We enjoyed our 1 week stay so much we extended for another week. Nice to see a park strive to become better and this one is exceeding!! We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Price reflects C2C membership. Campground was very easy to find There is an additional resort fee, I'm not sure what that is for. It is a fine campground, but doesn't really merit extra "resort" fee. This is a standard "parking lot" style campground. There were some trees throughout the campground. The campground easily handles big rigs. Sites are close together, but there was plenty of room in the site for the truck, 5th wheel and jeep. Gravel roads through the campground. Each camp site is gravel. Sites are all very level. Each site had a small concrete patio and picnic table. The picnic tables are just tables-no seats. Most tables appeared to be in desperate need of repair. There is a pool and hot tub area. Both the pool and hot tub are very small. The pool heater was broken the entire week we were there, so it was too cold to use the pool. Good Verizon coverage. Easy to get DirecTV satellite. Rate reflects Resorts of Distinction (ROD) rate. This park is nicely situated, one exit west for those wanting to go to Los Algodones, MX. The utilities worked fine. This park is gravel, and most occupants observe the 5 MPH speed limit, so the dust isn't too bad, but if you are on the back row next to the BLM land, the dust from traffic driving by can be a real hazard. The hot tub did not have HOT water, and the jets did not work. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We spent a week here. On the day before we had to leave one of the men working here that drives the golf cart around came up to my husband and asked, "What did you do with the back flow valve on your water?" My husband asked, "What?". The guy led him to our water connection and said the back flow valve here. My husband said there had never been one on it. The guy with this accusing man said, there isn't one on this one either, referring to the one next to ours. My husband was never near the water valve area at all the day the man referred to. The park is run down. The restrooms are clean, but need updating bad. The office personnel were friendly. The tengonet cable is $2.00 a day with coupon codes from the office. We were parked right next to the tower, and our service was slow and off and on. The local TV channels are almost all Spanish except ABC, NBC and CBS and FOX. The jacuzzi was warm and the pool cold. The laundry is $1.25 a load for washer and dryers and do a good job. Most sites had no picnic table, but we had one that should have been made into firewood as it was in bad shape. We will never stay at this park again, primarly because of the employee that accused us of removing a back flow valve from the water. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Due to reduction in staff a significant amount of activities has been reduced from prior years. The staff is now mostly volunteer. But their attitude is great. We have stayed at this park for several months over the past 3 years. Will stay here again. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Motorhome.

RPI rate. 8 miles to Yuma and any kind of a store. Lots of pull through spaces that are pretty close together. Gravel interior roads and level spaces with a concrete pad. Everything worked well. Friendly staff, some activities. The pool looked clean and well kept, but we didn't use it. Many people use this as a destination spot and stay all winter. Park is closed in summer. Would stay again. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly staff and a "homely" feel to the campground. Lots of activities offered. But the hot tub is still broken and we were here last year! No pickle ball or exercise room, which we require. It's a noisy site with highway 8 and the trains close by. Pretty good WiFi ($2 coupons). Close to Yuma and Mexico border. Okay for a couple of night's stopover. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
