1 Park near Wrightwood, California
May 2015 - $20.00
We boondocked 2 nights on Memorial Day weekend in our travel trailer.
Table Mountain Campground was very scenic and beautiful. There are large pine trees, hiking / biking trails, views and wildlife. We saw squirrels, many types of birds and deer. Layered clothing is a must as the mornings can be cold then mid-day warms up a bit.
The campground host/ranger was super nice and helpful. We were stuck in Labor Day traffic up through the Cajon Pass and arrived late in the evening as a result. It was dark and cold by the time we got there, but the host came right out to meet us, then ushered us into our campsite, helped us back in and level out (our pad was a little steep). He came back to check on us the next day to see how we were doing and to make sure we had everything we needed. Though we didn't participate, he told us the campgrounds screen family movies in the outdoor amphitheatre on the weekends.
Our campsite was primitive, but just gorgeous! There are sites with full hookups in another loop of the campground, but the pads are closer together and the sites are not as pretty. The pit toilets were relatively clean and the potable water spigot wasn't too far away from us.
We had a reservation for our site, but there are some primitive campsites set aside for first-come basis.
During our walks of the campgrounds, we did take note that alot of the pads were not too level.
We will definitely return to visit this campground again! - ftrrvr_684

We stayed here briefly on our very first trip with a new (to us) Class A motorhome. When we arrived, we needed the assistance of the Camp Host to change sites because ours was as steep as a playground slide, and we couldn't get level despite blocks and boards. No one was available, nor was there a sign saying when s/he would return. Perhaps because of this, the noise went on well after 11 p.m. Even worse, when we left the next day, large untrimmed branches overhanging the road left broad, deep scratches in the side of our coach. This is very traumatic when it's your first trip with a new toy! Class A motorhomes -- beware! Avoid this campground! - Doberpug
