We had a great experience at Navajo State Park, located between Pagosa Springs and Durango, Colorado, and on the New Mexico border. This park is very well kept and the staff is super nice and helpful. We watched the Eclipse of 2017 at a watch party hosted by the Rangers. All streets are asphalt and very easy to navigate for big rigs. Sites are large gravel with curbing to set off the patio which includes a picnic table and fire pit/grill. Sites were very spacious - no shade trees; but have well maintained utilities and grounds. Attached to the bath and restrooms was a game room with laundry facilities. Those machines were fairly new and in great working order, only $1 per washer and $1.50 per dryer. We only hiked one trail; it could have been a little more cleared for our liking. Our site was right on the lake and we had a great view. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Three separate campgrounds in this large CO state park. We stayed in the newer full hookup section which was very nice. Any of the pull through sites in the full hookup section are big rig friendly, mostly level, and nicely separated. The main difference is the view (or lack there of) and the fact that some sites had a shade shelter. Any site overlooking the lake are prime sites, but we think site 144 was the best of the bunch. A few short walking trails are available, but none are that great. Very dog friendly with bags and waste stations around the campground and park. We were able to let our guys run in the very nice grass with no complaints (and some compliments) about being off leash when actively engaged with us which is really appreciated. Being pretty far from any major towns, this is a very quiet campground except for the noisy cows next door :-). A couple of dings...the roads and sites are gravel, so can be dusty and can get muddy when it rains. The trash containers can get very smelly and attract lots of flies. While we were there, the neighbor cows got into the campground leaving many deposits around the sites and roads. Decent Verizon and AT&T coverage and open sky for satellite reception. Nice laundry facilities that we used since our washer was on the fritz. We enjoyed our relaxing stay here and would stay again. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed a restful stay at this state park after a couple of busy weeks at another location. The sites by the lake are awesome! Great views and very spacious. We stayed in a full hookup site. We didn't use the bathrooms, but my husband said he went in and they weren't that nice. Since we had full hookups that wasn't a problem. Verizon worked well here. As we were driving into the park I had no Verizon signal, but as soon as we got to the campground, the signal was good. There must be a dead spot on the way in. I think AT&T also worked, but we didn't use it much as AT&T is our backup in case Verizon doesn't work. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff was very helpful and the facilities were very clean. I found my particular campsite to be well kept and ready for me to use. I also had a very nice view of the lake and my surroundings were absolutely beautiful and very quiet. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Tent.

If you are physically disabled, as I am, then you may want to look at your access path to the lake from your campsite?

There are sections for camping, full hookups, water/electric, or no hookups. We stayed in the full hookup section. Good water, electric, etc. There are no stores nearby except a small gas station with very limited items, otherwise plan on driving 30 miles to nearest store. Spots are well spaced from each other and view of lake is nice, providing you reserve a spot facing the lake. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Motorhome.

The great thing about this campground are the sites. There is plenty of room with no crowding at all. The park is nice with a lot of trees and some grass, but no trees to speak of in campgrounds. This is the only campground with FHUs, but the other campgrounds have equally nice settings. It's a state CG, so state rules. The main downside is the wind, especially in the spring. Difficult to leave awnings up for any length of time. Also, a lot of mosquitos in evenings. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We really enjoyed this park (Rosa campground). A great place for families, large spaces with good distance between. All hook-ups worked as expected and while there is no Wi-Fi, there is a computer in the Visitor Center that anyone may use. Nice, small marina with friendly folks, fully equipped and boats for rent. Nightly rate includes $7/day, day use fee. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice place. Tidy, nice layout, well maintained, big rig, pet and family friendly. Not much shade though. I would stay here again but only if I was coming to Navajo Lake. The campground itself isn't much of a destination and its a bit off the beaten path so its not really "on the way" to anywhere. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is beautifully maintained. There are no trees to speak of--some sites have covers over the picnic table. Otherwise bring your own shade. The lack of shade/trees was a disappointment when we first drove in. Everything else was so clean and pretty we soon got over our first concerns. But the real put off was the $6 a day entrance fee in addition to the $22 camping fee for each of the three days we camped there. I had never run into this charge before. Basically campers are charged the day use fee on top of the camping fee. Is this standard in Colorado Stay Parks? I have camped in FL, TX SC, NC, TN, OK and AK State Parks and never paid a daily admission fee on top of a camping fee. Additionally there were fees for using the showers. The other down side was loud music from other campsites that kept us awake until midnight two of the three nights we were there. I have decided noise is to be expected at any lakeside park that allows speedboats and individual water craft. It is just the nature of the beast. I don't like noise so I will avoid the speed boating crowd in the future. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Park was recently renovated and very clean. Mule deer walked through the campsite! This park is a little out of the way, but well worth the time. We had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. We stayed here 4 nights. We camped at Navajo State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
