First of all, I was trying ot reserve a cabin, not a RV site. Please READ and PAY ATTENTION to all the negative reviews on Glen Echo "Resort"! I wish I would have done this before making my reservation. The reservation was made June 21, 2017. Due to circumstances had to cancel on July 3, 2017. When doing so I was told by owner, that they would not refund if I didn't cancel within two weeks. Well it had only been 12 days since I booked so her verbal two week requirement was a mute point. I explained that there are no cancellation policies posted on their website, nobody disclosed this information during the telephone reservation and no email confirmation was sent with this information. The owner said "too bad that is our policy". She did offer to credit the money toward another date but I told her that since my first experience with her was less than desirable, I would not be making another reservation. (Doing so would have only been asking for more of her nasty attitude). She said it didn't matter and she didn't care if I contested the charge on the credit card. The promise of leaving negative reviews or a BBB complaint didn't faze her either. She will try her best to hold you hostage if you make a reservation. I have since read reviews about the same attitude with anybody who complains. If you want to pay top price for lousy accommodations, nasty attitude from the owner and non-existent customer service, this is your place. If you want the nice setting in the mountains with an owner who appreciates your business and has pride in their business, look elsewhere. The owner and her Glen Echo "Resort" has earned my lowest recommendation which is much lower than what this web site has available. We camped at Glen Echo Resort in a Cabin.

Overall Rating:

Very nice stay in a peaceful location. The Pourdre river was right behind, and wonderful to listen to with the window open at night. The office staff, general store, and restaurant were great! My only improvement suggestion would be "bear proof" the dumpsters as we seemed to have a nightly visitor. I will definitely stay again when I want a peaceful spot to get away from it all. We camped at Glen Echo Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The nearest town is Fort Collins/Laporte which is a long 35 miles down the canyon, so bring what you need. However, the general store and restaurant are very nice, they have gasoline (85 oct), propane, and a few necessary grocery items. The gift shop section is nice as well. The best part is the peace and quiet of the Poudre Canyon away from it all.

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

If you’re looking for the gang, this RV park is for you. You won’t have to look far because the next trailer will be within a few inches of your front door. No lie, I measured from the edge of my awning to the sewer drain of the next pad and it was 30 inches. I didn’t drive to the mountains just to pack like a sardine into a park space so tight that I could pass the soap to the person in the next RV. The front desk folks were nice enough and check in was painless. They gave me no instructions as to where the dumpster was located or how to get down to the only attraction (the river), but they did tell me to keep it quiet after 10 p.m. and to check out the live band (that went well beyond 10 p.m.!) at the lounge. This place is for sale (no surprise there) and I’m not sure what they’ll do with the hordes of permanent residents. If the new owner is smart he’ll class up the place by moving all of the skirted heaps off the property and doubling the size of the spaces. Great location, trashy park. We camped at Glen Echo Resort in a Motorhome.
