Stayed 3 nights. When booking six months ago, did not realize the area I chose (site 212 along creek) was one of only two RV sites in that section...everything else was a chalet which did not make it feel like an RV park. Next time I will try to get in the middle of the park where the only RV sites are left. Beautiful area! Paved roads and slab. Issues with water during our whole stay (shut on and off so obviously working on some issue). They have put in a new fenced dog park so that is a HUGE plus so we could throw the ball and exercise the pups. No trash pick up in such a big park is a shame. There is a GREAT hike trail between site 160 and 161. Front desk was very friendly and let us check in 2 hours early. Indoor pool and spa looked beautiful. Great satellite reception. Will return if in area. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Visit Breckenridge and take gondola to top of peak 8 for summer fun! Hike McCullough Gulch Trail...about 20 min to trail head and an amazing 4-hour intermediate to challenging for those not used to the altitude or uphill climb with rocks. Go all the way to the lake!

This place has great roads, the sites are excellent and is well managed. The lack of garbage pick up and only one shower/restroom location are problematic. Particularly in view of the price. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here 7 years ago. Still a great facility, but a change is the number of park models (Chateau's as they are called). As you enter the park, all you can see in the first several rows are park models - from very plain and simple to custom built that fill every square inch of space. Some RV's are squeezed in between the park models but most RV's are in the center, and back section along the Blue River. As an owner park, the sites vary in terms of landscaping and features. Most have a picnic table and that is it. The office is there simply to make reservations and check you in. For $105 a night, they could have a person escort you to your site. There is no trash pickup (again at this price?) and there is one dumpster for the whole park. A couple of days it was so full people were leaving their trash next to it. One day it was totally gone. They also have one recycling dumpster but people were leaving chairs, lumber, refrigerators, BBQ's, etc. Both are right next to their maintenance shed with workers who seemed to have little interest in keeping the area clean. A large number of the lots For Sale/For Rent signs on the sites - cheap plastic signs that really detract from the overall beauty. There are also a number of sites crammed with trailers, trucks, Jeep's, golf carts, ATV's. There is a very small over flow area to park trailers - it has about 6 spaces. The park really could use a place to park these - off site. You pay a big premium to have spaces along the Blue River. For some reason the walking path was closed - as in they put big boulders and signs to keep you off. Makes it difficult to see that beautiful river that you paid extra to see. We would come back - if only because we love Breckenridge. But it has lost some of the allure as an RV facility. Like it can't make up its mind what type of facility it wants to become. It is still one of the nicest parks we have visited. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

More restaurants and shops than you could visit. Try a day in FairPlay - it has one of the most expansive and unique museum's we have ever visited. Hiking is fantastic, off road trails, horses, fishing, biking - you name it. Town is full - views are spectacular.

Overall Rating:

It's a nice park with better than average amenities, although rather trashy at some sites with insulation/garbage/junk/building materials stacked under and against. We camped along the Blue River in one of the nicer sites except that it looked directly at an RV with junk piled under and around it. The site itself was concrete, large, nicely appointed and landscaped. The park is pricy and they charge a bit more than average compared to similar parks. The grounds are, for the most part, well maintained. The front desk staff is hit and miss as for guest treatment. One clerk was rather aloof and acted almost as if she was doing us a favor checking us in. Asking about the local area and such seemed to encourage eye rolling. Other clerks were knowledgable and very helpful. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tiger Run is one of the nicest RV Parks we have visited. But for a high end park the folks here have discovered that since the demand for spaces here is high, they don't need to worry much about service. Examples include no notification that they were going to turn off water for a day. When washing machines break their answer is "we're not responsible and you are on your own". WiFi was not functional. Management says call WiFi company. WiFi company says call park management. Water pressure was so low that we had to use on-board tanks and pump. (perhaps related to why they turned off water for a day?) Our site was a back-in, and was long enough that we could park our car sideways behind the RV. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a nice hiking trail behind the park, and there is access to the bike trail system across the highway next to the park. Getting a space is a challenge because of the demand. I started calling a year in advance and called them every month. Like many parks, you can probably expect the cost to increase 25% each year for the foreseeable future.

We planned our 7 week trip around staying here for a week, and ended up loving the towns, but were disappointed in the "resort". The layout is good, but there are too many "chalets" (aka park models), on the same sized lots as an RV. These "chalets" are allowed side porches and enclosed sunrooms, so when all is said and done, it looks like a crowded group of log cabin vacation homes, and the illusion of open spaces is gone. Other than that, the reception staff was friendly and helpful, as was the grounds and maintenance workers. The wifi was almost nonexistent (which we were warned about by the reception staff upon check-in) due to the high number of users who were streaming movies. There is one trash dumpster for the entire resort, and it is quite a hike to get there (I was told there used to be four). Because the sites are so close together, when one camper has a cook-out, the next door neighbor's RV fills with smoke (or easily could). We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Liked it but did not love it. Pool said only for owners. Next time we would probably find something different. Water pressure at our spot (279) was bad. Twice it was turned off and not by me. A couple grumpily locals there. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Location location. Being so close to the popular town of Breckenridge I guess makes it ok to pay the price but in reality for the money we were disappointed in the amenities. The sites are nice but there is some road noise, the gym is old & outdated, the pool is indoors and nothing special but ok and did I say the sites are nice. We stayed in a premium back in for a week and then moved to a basic pull through for a week. The pull throughs are like any you would find in most average parks but the back in premium site was very nice with privacy. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very pretty, well-kept park. We just stayed here overnight so we didn't take advantage of the extra amenities. It seems to have a lot more chalets than it does RV sites. Our site was level, nicely situated, and would be very pleasant to sit outside (had it not been raining). However, there was not enough space to leave the car hooked up. There is a small dog enclosure with grass and a small dog walking loop. There is access to a narrow trail, but we didn't have an opportunity to try it. We would stay here again. Because of the price of this RV park, my expectations were high. The park itself was very nice but the showers were not clean. There was trash and hair in the shower stall. Also, we got two entry cards when we checked in but only one of them worked for the entry gate and the door to the clubhouse. The laundry room was nice but crowded. There was a mixup on our reservation and our site was double booked the third day we were there. It wasn't a problem for us but I don't know what happened to the other family. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautifully landscaped park with close access to Breckinridge and Frisco. The pool and clubhouse were lovely and clean. We enjoyed our first 2 nights at a pull thru site with lots of shade, good wifi and cable. We had to change spots and were very disappointed with the lack of shade, broken cable connection and many barking dogs. Management was friendly but did little to address our concerns. As they said, they have excellent relationships with the owners of permanent sites and although apologetic about dogs, broken cable connection etc. did nothing to address our concerns as we rented a site for 3 nights. It appears this is the only park in this area so we appreciated the cleanliness, nice grounds and easy access to attractions. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The spots on Club house row are busy and noisy, the views are blocked with cargo trailers etc. Not all spots have fire rings. There are a lot of ants here, if staying a long time put down some repellant. Frisco is close by and has a Walmart and Safeway. Down town Frisco is very cute and is worth seeing. The Island Grille at Frisco bay is excellent and the views are beautiful.

This is a very nice campground with many permanent cabins. The sites are privately owned and rented out by owners through the management company. The fee split seems to be 60% to owners and 40% to the management company. That may account for the high price, plus there may not be any other campgrounds nearby.

We were next to the last spot on our row and it is a hike to get back to the office or out to the street to catch the free bus to Frisco and Breckenridge.

Lots of dogs, so lots of barking! Owners were present but when one dog sees another, they bark.

We received one key to get into the clubhouse to use laundry facilities, pool, and bathrooms. My husband couldn't believe there was only one toilet in the men's bathroom for a campground this size. The whole clubhouse reeks of chlorine, which was nauseating as I waited for our laundry to be finished.

The trash and recycling bins were almost impossible to find as they were hidden so well. One would think with a campground this size and the fees they charge, they would pick up the trash.

The WIFI was spotty - don't count on using it. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

High price comes from being only available commercial RV park in the area. Tiger Run is a RV condo with some spots rented on behalf of absent owners. It has many recreational facilities that short-termers will probably not use, including heated pool, tennis, volleyball, etc. Blue River sites are along a babbling brook but get a lot of traffic noise from SR9 on the other side of the river. Very nice RV resort. All sites are owned by others, then rented by resort staff (if they opt to rent them at all). Resort includes owner cabins as well. Very clean, with asphalt roads, concrete sites and grass for picnic table. Poll with tennis courts, hiking trails, two small rivers (large creeks) run through the complex. Very pleasant to stay here. Only 10 minute drive into Breckenridge or Frisco. Golfed at nearby Breckenridge golf course. Nearby towns & lakes to visit and plenty of bike trails. Took our new (2012) RV to Breckenridge for a our first real camping experience. Really liked the campground, had a great spot in a very nice site by the river - we paid a premium for that particular site as we had family visiting/staying with us from Australia and wanted a good location. Campground conveniently located to downtown. Lots of cabins in the park, not many RVs as it wasn't peak season. Didn't use the pool (closed) or the big public fire pit. Would return to this campground in either summer or winter if we were feeling brave enough to winter camp. Yes, it's pricey, but that's probably to be expected in a destination like this, don't know of any ski towns that aren't! We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.
