Beautiful park conveniently located. The owners are wonderful people. Everything is clean and well-organized. It's a little pricey for us, but we liked it well enough to stay here again in our fifth wheel. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice and clean park. Owners were friendly and helpful. All sites and interior roads are gravel. Each site has a grassy area, picnic table and some shade (some trees are small). Park has both pull thru and back-in sites. Rates are comparible with other campgrounds in the area. We stay in Buena Vista at least once a year and in the past have stayed at another campground. This year the our old campground was full and decided to stay at Mt. Princeton. Not sorry we did and will definitely stay there again. Campground also offers cabins and has installed several Park models (a couple are currently for sale). Park does not have cable but there is local TV channels available. Great view of the mountains and the park was quiet. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fishing at several nearby mountain lakes. Independence Pass is a nice and scenic day trip. Another day trip is over Cottonwood Pass to Crested Butte and Gunnison and back via Monarch Pass (very scenic).

The RV park consists of a large open area with gravel spread throughout the park. This was the best managed and cleanest park we have ever camped in. All sites have full hook ups with a picnic table. No fire pits are available. Satellite reception is excellent, cell service is good. Rest rooms and showers are exceptionally clean. A small playground is available for the kids. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Buena Vista is a nice small town. Lorenzo's at the south end of town has excellent Mexican food. Car trips as mentioned in a previous recommendation offer some beautiful scenery.

Mt. Princeton is under new under ownership and it shows that they are trying to upgrade the park and keep it nice. Our group used the covered patio area and it was very nice with good screens to block the wind. Office staff was friendly and easy to work with when I extended for a few days. WiFi was on and off, seemed to get over loaded and stop, staff would reset it and it would work for a while. I was very surprised when we made our reservation they had a 1 dog per site policy, after a couple of phone calls, they said two were OK. Except when you going in their office, there are two dogs behind the counter. That did not sit well with me, just plain wrong. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We've been to BV many times and usually stay at another park, but friends had booked this one so we joined them. It is an easy access, all gravel campground with spaces that are level and large enough. Owners were flexible and friendly. Rates competitive with other in the area. We liked it enough so that on our next visit to BV we will stay here again. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sites were level, very clean, well maintained facilities. Quiet, nice landscaping with cute stone "creatures". And of course wonderful views of the Collegiate Peaks. There was no cable tv though and the antenna could only pick up public TV. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is an extremely nice park with very spacious wide, long parking. The amenities which include clubhouse with kitchen, covered screened pavilion with picnic tables are used often for get togethers and parties. The kids have a playground and basketball court. This very well maintained park principally caters to long term guests (one to five months) as the park is closed in the winter months. However, overnight guests seem to be welcome. The owners who live on site are superb managers, caretakers and just basically nice people. The number of return guest are a testament to this great RV Park. Because of the 8000 foot elevation of this park, it is a perfect place for those looking for respite from the heat elsewhere in the country. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Mt. Princeton with FMCA group. We received the standard Good Sam / FMCA 10% discount. Our group loved the park. Sites are pretty much level, wide enough to get a 45' diesel into it with ample parking for the towed vehicle. Each space has a small grass area adjacent to it. Small to medium trees so no satellite interference. Great view of the mountains from the park. Our group utilized the new pavilion as our gathering area and it was wonderful. We had 2 group dinners there and it worked great. The owners are on site and were absolutely responsive to any request. We plan to return regularly. Just far enough of the main road that road noise was never a problem. Good grocery and other shopping nearby. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Grocery store about 2 miles away. Plenty of good restaurants and some fast food available. Fuel, Hardware etc., close by. Buena Vista has a quaint downtown area located off highway. Interesting little down with good access to the Fourteener's.

Only 2 showers and 2 toilets in each men and womens for such a big park. Awkward entry to restrooms as you must walk past everyone in the large activity room. Rough road, no recycling containers, no pool, lots of long-term campers. Good location and setting, can hike or Mtn bike out the back gate. Good wide sites, and drives. No real trees. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Check in was prompt and courteous. Easy access from Route 24 and close to town. Buena Vista is a gorgeous place with great hiking, off roading, rafting and fishing. Views in the park are heavily dependent on location - park was very crowded and spaces are tight. We had a view of the storage yard - more like a RV bone yard. Comments on the entry road are correct. But the interior roads are just as bad. The campground needs to re-gravel the entire park. The interior roads are heavily pitted, washboard and holes. Our site was more compacted/loose dirt than gravel. There was some grass in the sites by the entrance - which looked like the season sites. Otherwise landscaping is pretty sparse. No visible security - park is accessible from two entries with no gates. Utilities were good - satellite worked even with the few trees scattered around the park. I would probably try another park in the area before coming back here. Not bad - but with more road/landscaping maintenance and proper spacing they could make this a much nicer park. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Registration staff busy but courteous and helpful. Our assigned Site appeared to be in a brand new section of the campground. Gravel was a little soft but wood blocks under the rear wheels helped that (they had rain the week before we arrived). Sites close but few others occupied this time of year. Power per my surge meter was spot on and water was within the parameters of RV acceptable pressure. No cable in this section yet, however, it appeared as if the connecting boxes were in place so maybe later. Rest rooms, laundry and showers were brand spanking new. Stunning views of "Ivy League" fourteeners to the west. We would stay here again. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects a Passport America discount for one night. Just north of Buena Vista, a good place to stop for a few nights to visit the area. River access NOT available from the campground. Sites were level, with only small trees in the overnight area, which has 24 sites of various lengths. The full-timers/extended stay area was very shady and very well kept. Wi-Fi was weak at our site, which was 75 yards from the office. Didn't use the TV so can't review on the reception. Bathrooms and showers were excellent. Small playground for kids and only one pet allowed. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park with good level sites, convenient hookups that work, and nicely spaced campsites. The wind does come up and blow every once in a while, but this is characteristic of the Buena Vista area. The campground looks out on a nice view of Mount Princeton. The campground is just a short distance from town, making the stores a convenient distance. Our rate reflects the Passport America rate. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 7 days. The rate was for Passport America. The sites were level gravel the hookups were good. The Wi-Fi worked good most of the time but would occasionally disconnect. The entrance road was full of dips but I noticed that they brought it a load of gravel to do road work. There was a nice new clubhouse with laundry. The staff was very helpful to guide me to local attractions and even helped me get into a dentist in town. We would stay here again if in the area. This area is very nice We camped at Mt.
