This former mobile home Park has been converted into a RV Park. The campsites are nicely spaced with ample room between sites. Campfires have a gravel, level drive with a small concrete patio and nice picnic tables. The park roads are dirt, which is very common here, but wide which means backing into your site is very easy. Two things make this Park special- it's location in a beautiful area with much to do and how nice the owners and seasonal campers are to others. Bathrooms are modern and very clean. Nice laundry facilities with clotheslines nearby! The internet is free and worked well for us. No Fire rings or dump station in the park. We would definitely return to this park. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Those of you who know me know I only give a 10 in maybe 1 in 100 places. In fact, I really don't know if I ever have in my about 160 postings. We just love this park - so quiet, lots of room, friendly. Owners are just great. Yes, it can be dusty, but not so if people obeyed the speed limit in there - which most do. Very spacious sites. Love all the little things around there for decorations, etc. If you are looking for a pool, pickleball and lots of wild parties you might look elsewhere. If you are looking for quiet, serene and lots of great people - starting with the owners - then I very highly recommend Valley. This was our second time here and making plans to return for a much longer stay (one month) next year. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Buena Vista is quite an interesting town with so many things. We love Brown Dog for coffee / pasty - their almond twist is so superb. But we love the nearness to the mountains - Cottonwood and Independence Passes and the shorter trails along the river in town. Leadville is an easy drive. So much to do or just sit in the peace and quiet.

Convenient to town and the mountain views. Older park with dirt roads. Overall impression is old and dirty. Water pressure as low as 30lbs is not good but electric and sewer hookups ok. WiFi almost non existent most of the time. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Most parks in town were full when we called so selected Valley RV because they had one site available. Level, very long back in site, with lots of room on either side. Management was not on site, but one of the residents was a stand in "camp host". Cash or check only. The electric only had 50amp, but they provided 30amp adapter for my older coach at no cost. Did not use any of the facilities, but never could log into wifi (Tengo I think), following the hosts instructions. Seemed like many of the residents were there for the whole summer, but each site was clean and well organized. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

The positives: 1) Fairly decent spacing between sites for a private park. 2) Quality on-site management. 3) 10% discount for cash or check. The negatives: 1) dirt roads and on windy days, dust is flying everywhere. We never opened our windows - just used A/C to avoid the dust storms trashing the interior. 2) taller rigs have challenges avoiding low tree limbs overhanging interior roads. Management doesn't really care to trim them higher for the big rigs as I assume they don't get too many of us. Trailers, or folks not concerned about brushing against tree limbs should have no problem, and larger rigs can maneuver around limbs, sometimes having to drive a little into other's sites to avoid them, but doable. Not sure I saw anything better in the area (sad), and definitely saw worse. Miscellaneous comments: Did not use public restrooms or laundry facilities so cannot rate/review. Pull thru site was not designed for big rigs due to tight back to back turns. No big deal as easy back in. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Comfortable affordable place to stay on edge of town. Sites are spacious; 10 or 15' of grass beyond your patio to the next site. Same owners for 25 years. Rate reflected an end of season cash price. Back-in site with very wide road, and room to park toad in front of motorhome. Pad was maintained and level. Plumbing hookups well located, electrical behind the pad. A few mobile homes on park behind. Quiet, enjoyable stay. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great park that is easy to get into with wide streets for easy parking. Large level sites with well located utilities. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Clean laundry with good rates. I wish all parks were so user friendly. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the nicest, cleanest RV park in town with the largest spaces. The owners are very helpful and nice. Most spaces are very level, long and wide and many have large, mature trees. There are also open spaces with smaller trees or shrubs. We didn't have to level our 30' trailer at all. We will certainly stay here again. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Good sized sites, dirty granite sites, very friendly staff, older but good utilities, good Verizon, close to town, quiet, lots of yearly regulars, if you want a resort type place this is not it but if you want a place to explore from it's great. No gym or activities, easy to miss when driving down the highway. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

We thought this park was excellent - very spacious level site , clean cheap laundry, decent wifi, and nice location. Didn't give it higher because it's an RV park and not in the middle of nature. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in spot 30. One of 2 pull throughs in the back of the park. The spot was plenty deep for just about any MH with a toad. The owners are very nice, helpful people. They even trimmed a tree for us. Great views from the park. Roads are dirt but not rough. Full hook ups are placed well and a nice concrete pad with picnic table provided. AT&T has three bars here. Park wifi worked well and was plenty fast. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an older mobile home park so spaces are large and well cared for. The owners were very helpful with both parking and information about the area. No real dog area but lots of walking behind the park just make sure to be a good owner and pickup after your pet. Reserve early the park was full. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

This rv park was originally a mobile home park and, as such, has some still in place. But not an issue at all. And yes, it is older (but so are we!) It is not lavish with amenities but we knew that going in - that is not high on our list of importance. We had a large site with nice views. You cannot meet nicer people than Sandra and Don; no place. Example. DW Barbara happened to mention to Sandra that she crochets as we drive - blankets for babies at a care center for very unfortunate babies. Sandra happened to be at a church yard sale and saw a bunch of yarn and bought it and gave it to Barbara - and refused to take a penny for it. We would go back there in a heartbeat. And hope we can. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an established park, and is a blend of permanent trailers and RV's. The park was clean and the sites were comfortable. The gravel pads had a concrete picnic area next to the pad. The park has been there long enough it needs a good purging. In many places there were old picnic tables, benches, and items that just needed to be hauled off. In the front of the park, there was an interesting little area surrounded by a white clapboard fence about 36" high. When I walked over and looked in it, I was surprised to see it full of 50 gallon barrels, old tools and other items - essentially junk. The WIFI was through an outside provider and was excellent. Many of the short-term parking pads are in the front, very close to the highway, and quite noisy. I strongly suggest negotiating the specific pad when making a reservation to be away from the road. The rate was based on a one week stay and a cash discount. We camped at Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
