This is a very nice park near Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. The interior roads and sites are fresh gravel and there are two areas to walk dogs (neither are fenced). Our pull-through site was level, and the Wi-Fi signal was strong and reliable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating allowing us a very early check-in to get to a zip line tour on time.

The sites are spacious and there is very nice new landscaping throughout; there is not much shade yet since the trees are small (recently planted). There is a very nice lounge area and shaded patio near the office with a grill, group fire pit, and several game areas (basketball, shuffleboard, and others). The bathrooms are a bit small and basic, but very clean and functional. Several of the sites have covered concrete patios with picnic tables. Our site had a concrete patio and picnic table but was not covered.

Based on driving around and looking at other campgrounds in the area, this looks like one of the best. We would definitely stay here again when in this area. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Royal Gorge Zip Line Tours was excellent and the White Water Bar & Grill had very good food and a great outside dining area. The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park was very impressive.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. They meet you as you pull in and immediately take you to your site. Go check in when convenient. Lots of room for big rigs - easy to maneuver around. Got a premium site - concrete patio and fire pit - good value. Great views. Exceptionally clean. Fantastic dog kennel directly next door. About 6 miles from Canon City - Florence nearby. This area of Colorado is just beautiful. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Reflects weekly rate for a deluxe site. One of the nicest RV parks we've been at. We were guided to our site and assisted in parking so we would step onto patio from our RV. Strong WIFI, but no TV. Bring your Dish or Directv. At our site the electric and water were on the passenger side of the coach; had to buy an extra water hose. The staff was friendly and really helped us picking sights to see and activities to do. Will stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The train ride through the Royal Gorge was great; we took the morning trip and then did the attractions at the gorge.

Stayed here in one of the premium spots, excellent location. Sites are crushed stone, concrete patio next door and shaded picnic table, and fire pit. Utilities worked well, wifi was strong. Located about 7-8 miles west of Canon City on Hwy 50, no noticeable road noise.

Large. well-appointed lounge, small store. Owner and hosts were outstanding. Recommended an excellent pet-sitter next door, worked out well. Two washing machines and dryers, could have used more when we were there. Owner has been upgrading significantly, will get even better.

Sites 10, 11 and 33 have great views out to the mountains. We would definitely return if in the area. An outstanding park with an involved owner. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Canon City has two major supermarkets, City Market better than the Safeway. Several good restaurants, an interesting historic downtown, and a good number of major chain stores. The Royal Gorge Railroad was interesting, but disappointing in that there was no narration or descriptive brochure about the 2 hour trip. There's lots of outdoor activities available- hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, fishing, etc.

The owners of this park really know what the words "customer service" means. We were greeted by the park owner in his golf cart, as we pulled into the registration parking area. I didn't even have to get out of the motor home. He promptly escorted us to our upgraded site, and helped with parking and hook ups. Said to go by the office when we were settled, and take care of the paperwork. Lots of space between sites, WiFi worked great, and it's obvious at how meticulously the park is maintained. When you experience great service, and a park that is really well cared for, price becomes secondary. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is awesome! From the time we arrive to until the moment we leave we are pampered. Whether it's the camp host that escorts you to your spot to help you back in, or the owners offering to help in any way, this camp ground will leave you with the feeling of value, amenities and friendship. We always have a great time playing one of the many games like horse shoes, bocce ball, basketball etc. There is plenty of good water pressure and 50 amp service everywhere. The landscaping is just beautiful as well as the scenery of the surrounding mountains. There is a ton to do nearby too. Go carts, festivals, Royal Gorge, Segway tours, zip lining, good restaurants and much much more. We have two boys, 14 and 5 and they just love it. We'll be back very soon! We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the go carts and Segway tours that are about one mile away.

This is a wonderful campground about six miles west of Canon City and close to the Royal Gorge. The sites are wonderful. We had a deluxe site with a covered concrete patio. The gravel site was level and there was no gravel dust. The hosts are gracious and helpful. We used the laundry. There are only two washing machines and four dryers, and all worked well. Beautiful mountain views. We definitely would camp here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Good hiking and biking trails. Antiques in Florence. Royal Gorge.

Great location for Royal Gorge area activities. Right on highway, so some traffic noise present. Great views. Small footprint campground. Big rig friendly. Acceptable privacy. Washed rock roadways and sites. Concrete pads for poly picnic table and timber canopy. All brand new. Superb wifi. Campground owners obviously have passion, pride, and a vision for the campground. Many new amenities -- outdoor kitchen, b-ball court, fencing, trees/shrubs, etc. Beginning of a decent campground store. Great for an overnight stay or destination stay for Royal Gorge area. Would stay again. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This RV park is clean, friendly, and has easy access to everything. We stayed 3 days here to see the Royal Gorge Bridge and to zipline over the gorge and we were very impressed with the friendly staff! We had no need for the restrooms and showers but we were told by neighbors that they were clean. Laundry was $1.50 to wash and $1.00 to dry. The park's layout makes it seem large and the sites are divided into regular and premium sites. We had a premium site with a large concrete patio with a fire pit however it was raining 2 of the three days and we never used the pit. Our site was roomy enough for our slide outs and yet we were still not close to any neighbor. We used 50 amp and the water pressure was good, WiFi was free but a little slow. The owner is extremely friendly and quick to help with any need including assisting with backing into your space if required. We would definitely recommend this site to anyone going to the Canon City / Royal Gorge area. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Royal Gorge bridge is just down the road with various activities.

We stayed in this park at the end of the season and it was terrific. Friendly staff. Clean and well maintained campground. We rode the train in Canon City and it was a very easy commute (6 miles, but on main Hwy) back and forth to campgrounds. I would most definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Clean well maintained RV park with good sized sites and great views. Many sites have concrete patios. Good ATT coverage and good free Wifi. Only complaint is with the satellite TV. We paid for a converter box but it never worked. Always complained of no satellite signal. Make sure it works in your site before you pay: no refunds. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflects a Passport America discount, which the owners did not really want to honor. They do not like Passport America. Nice clean park, all pull thrus. Our site did not have cable or sewer since we were PA. Other sites were premium with full hookups for which you paid a premium price. Good place to stay while touring the area. Very clean well maintained park. We would stay again. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in a 40 foot motor home so didn't use the restrooms or showers. They were very friendly and took us to our site and helped us get pulled in so our steps led us right out onto a concrete covered patio. This appears to be a fairly new campground close to the Royal Gorge Bridge and about 7 miles out of town. The campground is all stone, looks like crushed granite, so there is no dust. The cable is DirecTV only, however they have a very comfortable nice seating area in the office with a TV that you can watch when they are open. They are working hard to landscape and make more improvements to this park. You can't wash vehicles there but they did allow me to wash off the bugs and mud that was all over both the RV and car. We found this a good place to day trip to the Royal gorge and to the town of Cripple Creek returning to the campground via Phantom Canyon, not a road for the faint of heart. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is very clean and well maintained. Excellent WI-FI. Small laundry house. Beautiful patio area by office. We rented Direct TV box as our coach antenna could not pick up local TV due to mountain area. Good rock pads and roads, no dust. Great location for visiting Royal Gorge and other area attractions. Staff was super great and helpful. Beautiful view of mountains and star gazing. Price reflexes premium site. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.
