The sites were acceptably level. The concrete patios and patio tables/chairs were a nice touch, especially in the West. I wish more campgrounds had them. Plenty of shade along the river. Would recommend to anyone. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful campground. Spacious sites along the river had concrete patio, fire pit, adarondak chairs, and metal table and chairs rather than picnic table. Bathhouse was clean and well lit. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

As people know, I do not give 10 ratings as nothing is perfect. But give them a 9.9! We have been to nearly 200 different rv parks in our 19 years part time RVing and this is one of the prettiest, cleanest and well kept up of any we have seen....right up there in the top 3 - 5. And owner and staff was super as well. We look forward to getting back there next year. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice camp ground along the Crystal river, the staff was very helpful, and friendly, the grounds were in very good condition. Very neat and clean, the restrooms were clean and almost new. It is a place that I want to return to. This is an Ideal property one of the best KOA's I have camped at. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We also had a back-in site along the river and it was just lovely, almost felt more like a state park than a private campground. Our site had a concrete patio, iron table and 4 chairs, and a firepit by the river's edge. The gravel pad was a bit unlevel (we used 2 yellow plastic blocks under the wheels on one side) and tipped down a bit toward the back. Utility hookups looked new; water pump handles were rather hard to work. The dump station can get busy when several rigs are leaving; it's one-sided only - use caution there & don't get too close to it or you may do some damage to your rig's tires from the big rocks around it. There are some tight turns on the campground roads. Friendly staff, beautiful location. Bathhouse is new & clean, 2 toilets & 2 showers each. Laundry machines new, a bit expensive. Cabins older & open all year. Interesting marble statues by the last cabins (quarried about 20 miles away). Our neighbor, who stays frequently, said it's the best campground in the area with hookups. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Good base camp for Redstone, Carbondale, Aspen area. Marble (about 20 miles away) is a tiny town that has a marble quarry (not open to the public) and used to have a big mill to process it - self-guided walking tour available. Bike trail runs along the road from just past the campground into Carbondale; decent shopping in town.

Check in was ok. Thought we were getting river front, but there was a problem. Got a nice, big, level, kind of shady pull thru. Very nice park next to the river. Well kept, nice staff. Newer restrooms & showers. No dump at sites but they have honey wagon service available if your booked for 3 nights. Very nice service. We didn't swim but lots of folks used the pool. Lots of road noise during the day, but very little traffic at night. We would stay here again. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Motorhome.

We had a beautiful back-in patio site next to the river. This is a campsite you can actually "hang out" at. We spent hours sitting by the river while the kids played. Sites are gravel and may require some leveling. Laundry machines are new. The store has ice cream and toys like bubble wands. There are no sewer hookups (park is right on the river); there is "honey wagon" service for stays of more than 3 days only. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The setting is drop-dead gorgeous. The location is close to day trips to Glenwood Springs, Marble and Aspen. It used to be the BRB and has been completely remodeled to KOA standards. There are nice cabins for couples and families and tent sites in addition to sites with hookups. The owner takes pride in the place and made us feel like we were part of her family. Her two boys even got into the act by delivering wood for our fire. We hope to plan a family reunion next year at this campground. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We tried getting reservations at this campground quite a few times but were unable too. We happened to be looking last minute and found availability. So happy we did. This is a small, well treed for privacy campground with only 42 sites located along the Crystal River. Customer service is great; we spoke to the owner Erin a few times; she really takes a lot of pride in her campground and is quite helpful and knowledgeable on the area. The sites are a nice sized, larger than you get at many KOAs; most have concrete patios as well as a nice little fire ring. Firewood was available at the office for $6 a bundle. Wifi worked great, cell service not so much. None of the sites have sewer but there is a honey wagon as well as dump station. It really is a beautiful campground providing a great base for exploring the area, it's only 18 miles from Glenwood Springs and about 35 from Aspen. In fact we have reservations for the Columbus Day Weekend. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Both Aspen and Glenwood Springs are great communities to explore. For outdoor enthusiasts, there's a really nice bike trail that you can take all the way to Aspen.

This is not your typical KOA it's smaller than most and sits right on the Crystal River, there are some RV sights right on the river rest are just a short walk away. All RV sights have nice concrete patios and wrought iron picnic tables and grills and fire rings. Lots of room for big rigs, there is some traffic noise. New, very clean bath house, they do have a pool but it was closed due to damage, kind of bummer, but...My brother stayed in a cabins on the river, they are basic and bit spendy and was disappointed that while they do supply towels and dish soap there was no bar soap for shower, and for the price...

They have washer and dryers but they don't work well at all, took me almost 3 hours to do 3 loads (only 2 washers and 3 dryers but one was out of order). Cost about $15.00 3 loads they did refund some. Nice little store and club house with pool table. They have free WFI and it works ok...no ATT cell. Was nice to find out that because it's private you don't need a fishing license to fish in front of the Resort. Short drive to sights in the area. I grew-up going to this resort, while the improvements are nice, I miss the old charm of the BRB resort. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Motorhome.

This park is in a beautiful location. We did not have a good site, however we were only there for one night and were glad they were able to fit us in. No sewer would create a problem if we were to stay longer. Verizon barely worked. Nice large dog park. We would go back again, however we would make sure we had reservations for a better site. The $43 rate was for a week, with a Good Sam discount, including tax for a deluxe patio site on the river. It was a large beautiful site with a huge concrete patio and table and chair set. The only negative was no sewer hookup, but they will bring their honey wagon for no additional charge. The bathrooms/showers were immaculate, and so was the laundry room. Carbondale is 10 minutes up the road, with plenty of shopping facilities, Aspen is about 40 minutes away, and there is a bike path (Rio Grande Trail) that runs all the way to Aspen! Their wi-fi is not super strong, but met our needs. The location of the park is in a canyon, so the Verizon signal was very poor. We were here for a week and really enjoyed our stay. We would come here again. We camped at Carbondale / Crystal River KOA in a Motorhome.
