Beautiful setting against Cheyenne Mountain. Unusual for a state park to have full hook-ups so we definitely decided to stay here. Large cemented site with a fire ring, tent pad, and a picnic table. Lots of hiking trails through the mountain. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

The rate is $24/day camping fee plus $7/day park access fee for a total per day cost of $31. In addition, if you make reservations on-line there is an additional reservation fee of $10 for each reservation. This is one of the nicest State Parks we have ever stayed at anywhere! All park roads are paved, and each site has a concrete parking area. The views of Colorado Springs from all of the camping sites at night are breathtaking. There is a very nice and clean restroom/shower building in each of the four camping loops, and the main building in the center of the campground includes a very nice laundry and small store. There are few trees so if you're looking for a lot of shade this park is not for you. Satellite and AT&T and Verizon service are good throughout the park. This is our campground of choice whenever in this area. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be aware that just after you turn off highway 115 into the park, there is a traffic circle that is quite tight for a big rig but easily doable if you're prepared for it. There is no apparent reason for this traffic circle as the only traffic through the circle is into and out of the park.

Loved it and will return. Magnificent views, Convenient to Colorado Springs, yet plenty of wilderness nature trails for the hiking enthusiast. Immaculate with clean showers and restrooms. Buy the annual pass and avoid the additional $7.00 a day park fees. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Hike Cheyenne Mountain on the many park trails, 7 falls, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and other Colorado Springs attractions.

This park was beautiful! Easy access from SR115 in Colorado Springs. Excellent base for seeing Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Pull through site was concrete pad. We stayed in site 2 and had a great view of Colorado Springs lights at night. Beautiful sunrise and could hear reveille from the near by base at Fort Carson. Price included the $7/day entry fee. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely take time to see the Air Force Academy.

Excellent state park that is our first choice for a stay in the Colorado Springs area. Beautiful views in all directions. Easy access to and in the park with our larger sized 40'+ Big Rig RV. Good Verizon LTE service but AT&T voice and data sporadic at best. Quiet at night. Only two issues keep this from being perfect; (1) pay showers ($1 for 4 min) and (2) it's booked full on weekends well in advance so it's tough to stay long enough to amortize the $10 reservation fee to lower the nightly rate. Our rate for two nights was $28 per night + $7 per day access / vehicle fee, and $10 reservation fee. We would certainly return. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Edelweiss german restaurant just a few miles down the road for lunch is delicious and a spectacular bargain. Nice selection of dinner-type meals that are only $10+/- at lunchtime.

Always a favorite! Great base camp for exploring the area such as the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and Seven Falls. We were in site #42. Excellent views, but there is a big dip when pulling in, so remove your weight bars before backing in your trailer. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great park. Very pretty view and sites are spacious. However, the rate was $28.00 a day PLUS $7 a day for entrance into the park. There is also a $2.00 charge to take a shower. There is also a $10 booking fee. The showers were clean. They have a nice laundry which was clean. They have a good play area for kids and plenty of roads/trails if you want to get out and walk. Convenient to everything to do in Colorado Springs. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

My family loves camping in this park . Full hookups, clean, well monitored and maintained. There are nice trails for hiking and picnic areas that even my young children enjoy. The view over the plains is breathtaking. Sunrises are amazing. The site is easy to get to, and there is plenty of room between sites. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It was off season so the restrooms were very neglected. Not a very dog friendly park. Other wise nice park lots of trails (no dogs) and very convent to Colorado Springs with good views. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.

Easy access from the highway. Paved roads and sites. Rate includes the daily access fee. Utility hookups were convenient. Park is immaculate thanks to the camp host. Excellent views from all sites. Had a great line of sight for our satellite dish. Not a resort and that is ok with us, but everything else is great. We would stay here again. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gorgeous views from almost all sites, which sit high on the hillside overlooking Colorado Springs. Full hookup at each site, level concrete pads, and nice spacing between the sites. Park has many hiking trails. Bathrooms are super clean, but showers are coin-operated. Note that you are required to purchase a "daily entrance fee" for $7 in addition to the $26 camping fee. We only stayed one night but would have liked to have stayed longer. They didn't seem to check the "daily entrance fee" tag we were required to display on the windshield, so it may be possible that you could skip purchasing a new "entrance fee" tag daily if you left your rig and/or vehicle sitting on the site. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.

What a gem of a state park located high on a hillside overlooking Colorado Springs with the Cheyenne Mountains behind, so there are gorgeous views from every site. This is a very well maintained campground with helpful and friendly park rangers. Roads are asphalt. Our concrete pad was a long level and wide pull-through. Big rig access was good. Very quiet with lots of privacy, space for our towed, some sites had shade trees ours did not. Wooden steps up to a very pretty gravel area with a picnic table and grill. Bathrooms were spotless, and the laundry was large, clean and well equipped with washers, dryers, iron and ironing board. Not overly pet friendly. Yes, there are pick up bags, but dogs are not allowed on trails, and have to be walked in the roadway, so it would be great to have a dog walk area in the Park. No Wi-Fi but cell was good. Walmart and Safeway are just down the road, along with good restaurants and plenty of sightseeing. This is a very popular park and takes some time and patience to get a site here, but it's well worth it. We would stay here again, the scenery is breathtaking and the city lights at night are very pretty.  We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.

$26 plus $7 daily park fee. Loved the spacious, clean sites with spectacular views (stayed in sites 16 and 12). Great hiking trails. Some noise from Ft Carson, helicopters one night around midnight for about 90 minutes, but the sites are far off the road, so being so close to the city it was amazingly quiet. No WiFi but Verizon cellular access to the Internet was fairly good. We will definitely stay there again when in the area. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.
