Site was sloped back to front enough that I had to block up the front tires to keep them from hanging in the air. Lady at front desk said the construction was supposed to complete at the beginning of summer. They had just finished the asphalt on Columbia drive the day before we left. Still no asphalt into the main entrance to park. Still using exit to Pike Peak Ave. as both entrance and exit. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Tom, thanks so much for staying at our RVC Outdoor Destinations Garden of the Gods Resort. We greatly appreciate you choosing to stay with us. I wanted to apologize for the problem you experienced with leveling your motorhome; while we have many other level sites throughout the resort, we regret that you did not receive one. It is a challenge getting perfectly level sites in the foothills of the Rockie's but we are in the planning stages of addressing this issue shortly in the near future. The good news is that the construction project is nearing completion and we are looking forward to having this issue behind us shortly. After completion, our entrance will be much better for our guests, including a dedicated traffic light that will allow for easy entering and exiting. We hope that if your travels bring you back to Colorado Springs, you will choose to stay with us again. All the best, Lloyd Lauland President of RVC Outdoor Destinations

Stayed 7 nights in a 43' motorhome. Major construction underway blocking main entrance. Called for best directions the day before and told to enter through EXIT from "W Pikes Peak Ave". Attendant on golf cart was waiting for arriving guests and escorted to PT FHU site N03. Interior roads are paved but tight to navigate for BIG Rigs. Mix of back-ins and PT sites. Premium sites, head-in, have a level concrete pad facing main road construction. Neighbors are very close and our slide went over the neighbors table. Site was not level front-to-back. CG is all gravel, some shade, no cable and few OTA channels. ATT service spotty as was WIFI. Dog park has bags and is all gravel. CG is located close to many attractions which made it convenient. Office interior/lounge is beautiful with pool table. There is a good arcade room. If in area probably will not stay here again. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Dear RTM, thanks for choosing to stay at our RVC Outdoor Destination location at Garden of the Gods. We greatly appreciate your visit and your understanding of the construction that is taking place outside of our resort. The good news is that the construction is nearing completion and the end result will be a much improved entrance to our location. Post construction, we are planning several upgrades, including more site leveling and increasing our Executive sites with concrete pads. Things are tight, especially in the foothills of the Rockies, but I am happy to hear that you found our location to be convenient to the many attractions in the area. As a well seasoned traveler, I can tell you appreciate quality and cleanliness; you can always count on that at each of our locations. If you have not done so already, please visit our website at www.rvcoutdoors.com and check out our other locations. We would love to have you as a guest again. The location is good and it looks like they recently spread new gravel throuout the park, so dirt and dust is minimal. The pull through site was very close to neighbor and our slide went over the neighbors picknick table. The sewer hose is located next to picknick table which made it undesirable to sit outside. There is currently significant digging and road construction which made access to the park difficult in a 45ft motorcoach, specially when some road cones had tipped over. Management should add a large sign noting the location of registration. We entered park and finally went walking around the park to find registration. Not obvious with the current construction. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Dear Windquest, thank you so much for choosing to stay with us at our RVC Outdoor Destinations location at Garden of the Gods. We appreciate you noticing that we recently have improved the resort with new gravel to minimize dust, etc. The construction has been an inconvenience, but the good news is that the county is nearing completion at our location. Our team has done their best to make access to our resort a minimal inconvenience, but sometimes we are at the mercy of where the construction crews are working. We do have plans to greatly improve signage at the entrance (it was removed due to the construction) and we are looking forward to having a dedicated traffic light that will make entering/exiting much more convenient for our guests. We greatly appreciate your business and look forward to you returning. We would also like you to visit our other resorts as well as you are traveling. Please visit our website at www.rvcoutdoors.com when you have a chance. All the best, Lloyd

We stayed here for a week. Made the reservation in April for an August visit to Colorado Springs. The park may not have known about the massive construction project right outside the entrance gate, and all of the surrounding streets. If they did, they didn't advise us about it, in advance. Nor did they do so when they did find out about it. Our GPS tried to route us to their entrance right on Colorado Ave, but that area was closed off due to construction. We finally found the temporary entrance on Columbia Ave that was not accessible from Colorado Ave. Instead we had to wind through residential streets until we discovered it quite by accident. We were here a week, and other than the construction, which we learned over time to navigate around, this is a nice park. Pull through sites for big rigs are pretty close together. For example, our sewer connection was within a foot of our neighbor's concrete pad with a picnic table. On the passenger side of the coach, when we stepped out to walk back to the car, the sewer connection on the coach next to us was also a foot from the pad with the picnic table, and the water and electric hookups for our neighbor were with 18 inches of our bedroom slide-out. Once during the week, we had a small travel trailer/camper next to us. The camper had temporary license tags, indicating it was just purchased. It was likely a new experience for the campers next to us, because they used our picnic table as theirs. We assumed they did so because their sewer connection was right there, and they figured the picnic table was theirs, too. Overall, we would come here again, but choose our site wisely. Satellite reception was excellent. The campground wi-fi was iffy, even though we were within 150 yrds of the office. I didn't see any auxiliary antennas. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Dear Simpson's, Thanks for choosing to stay with us at our Garden of the Gods location. We are terribly sorry about the construction challenges you encountered when you visited, but the good news is that it is finally nearing completion. The result will be much improved access, including a dedicated traffic light on Colorado Blvd; something we did not have in the past. During construction we have faced many challenges and we are making improvements constantly, including to our WIFI system. Dear eaf14131, thanks for choosing to stay at our location in Colorado Springs. Our Garden of the Gods location is a special place and is conveniently located to all of the major attractions in the area. The construction has been difficult for everyone, but the good news is that the end is in site and the result will be a much improved entrance for our guests. As you mentioned, while it is not our fault, the construction has caused challenges with the constantly changing entrance blockages. We have had to deal with this on a daily basis and have done our best to minimize the impact for our guests. Please visit our website and check out our other locations. Hands down our resorts will always be a place where you can count on a friendly team and quality and cleanliness. Park was convenient to things to do for family. Did not live up to expectations based on web site. Premium site we had was not even close to level. Had front wheels off the ground to get level. Paved roads were nice. Playground was good for kids. Room to maneuver big coaches around was nice. WiFi was terrible! We work form home and on the road with our laptops and could not get connected at all or very seldom. Management told us to log on early in the AM or late evening. Still did not help. Would not recommend if you need WiFi. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

As others have mentioned, sites are not level. We were in site M5 and our front end was 6" low on the front end. 90% of the sites are gravel, roads are paved. They have an antiquated play area for children that is rusted and has metal mesh for the platform. The only place where grass could be found was by the pool. The pet area was all gravel. We used one of the pools and it was heated and nice. They had a recent flash flood (not their fault) so some of the sites were not occupied due to wash outs. Road construction was a PITA and does not look to be moving very fast towards completion. Employees were all nice. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Dear Our Next Adventure, thanks for choosing to stay at our RVC Outdoor Destinations location at Garden of the Gods. Describing the construction as a PITA is putting it nicely as it has been a challenge from the very beginning for all of our guests and our team. I am please to announce that since your visit in August, much progress has been made and the construction at our entrance will soon be over as it is nearing completion. The end result will be much improved. I am sorry you had to endure your visit in a site that was not as level as you would have expected. We do have more level sites throughout the resort, but it is a challenge in the foothills of the Rockies. We do have plans to address this issue post construction. I will have the team address the playground issue and if it cannot be improved we will certainly replace the equipment. We appreciate you staying with us and hope that you would consider another RVC Outdoor Destination resort for your "next adventure". Lloyd Lauland

We stayed 5 nights here. The site was not level, required one board. Our site sloped up in the back. WiFi NEVER worked, and I couldn't get my tv to recognize the cable tv. AT&T wireless coverage was minimal at best. Water pressure good, sewer and electric as expected. The sites are close together, and we were right beside an unoccupied older 5th wheel. We called ahead of time and got good directions to avoid construction, however the open routes seemed to vary through our stay, service was good. It doesn't appear the construction will be done by the end of the year. We did like the amenities: pool, playground, laundry and bathroom facilities are all nice. Propane was $$ so we went to Walmart and did a tank exchange. No fire pits here, but saw some people with gas pits lit. Lots of people roaming around, many children, dogs barking but it was always quiet at night. Navigation within the park is satisfactory. They were cleaning up after a recent flood, dirt and rocks had moved onto some sites, but no flooding remains. Overall, I'd stay here again. It certainly doesn't deserve one star ratings as some have been giving it. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Dear K Hogan, first I would like to thank you for staying at our RVC Outdoor Destination location at Garden of the Gods. We also appreciate your candid feedback, both complimentary and in the areas that we did not meet your expectations. It is true that the construction has been a challenge to say the least and that we have battled the after effects of the recent flash flood; both out of our control. Since your visit in August, the construction is nearing completion and in turn the overall experience will greatly improve for everyone. We are addressing our WIFI challenges as of the time of my reply and are hoping our efforts will greatly improve service and connectivity. Our location in the foothills of the Rockies and near Pike's Peak does have it challenges with having completely level sites, but we are working on a plan to improve them in the near future. I am pleased to know that you found our location desirable to area attractions and hope you will return. Lloyd Lauland

Sites are very narrow and short since they slope up at the back. Connections are at the back making extra connections necessary. Interior roads are very tight and should be one-way only but they are not. There were tons of kids riding bikes and skate boards making driving through the park hazardous. Wifi kept dropping. There was a picnic table on the paved "patio" but we parked our tow there. Road construction made getting to the park and leaving very difficult. Dog park is all gravel, no grass anywhere. I totally agree with the previous review about not going here until the construction is complete. This is no small project and it is right at the entrance to the park. We also circled the area in our class A towing a car while trying to figure out how to get in. Our confirmation email even had a message to "call if you get lost" which is a joke since they don't answer the phone. Are we supposed to circle for 24 hours while waiting for them to return the call? When we finally made it in I told the person at the desk of our frustration and was told that they get 100 phone calls an hour and are "doing the best they can." I suggested that their email confirmation mention the construction and was met with a blank stare. Sites are very close together and gravel. Dog park is all gravel. I didn't see any grass. Wifi was worthless and we were very close to the office. Only here for two nights and didn't use any of the facilities. With tax we paid $65 per night for a deluxe gravel site under trees which made a mess of our car and motorhome when the wind blew with rain and all the construction dust. We wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Going west on Hwy 24 turn right onto 31st Ave and then make a left on Colorado Ave. If you miss it you'll be circling. If you arrive or leave during construction hours the sign holders will help you, but they aren't there on the weekend.

Dear Kite's, thank you for the candid review of your visit at our RVC Outdoor Destinations location at Garden of the Gods. I can certainly understand your frustration with the construction; needless to say, we have been enduring the challenges throughout the past 12 months, and while you only had to endure it for 3 days, we understand your feelings. The good news is that it is almost over and things will be returning to normal. I can tell from your other reviews that you are seasoned travelers and have high expectations. Our team is taking steps to address both the dog park and WIFI issues. Again, from your reviews, WIFI seems to be a challenge at most location you have stayed, but nevertheless we are trying to improve our service. The end is near on the construction, so hopefully we will be returning to normal shortly. I hope that your visit at Garden of The Gods will not prevent you from visiting another RVC Outdoor Destination location. www.rvcoutdoors.com. Sincerely, Lloyd
LMH

Overall Rating:

I wouldn't come here or anywhere else in Colorado Springs until they finish the road construction. The entire town is a traffic jam. Construction has both entrances to the park blocked, I drove circles in a Class A motorhome towing a car until I found a way in. They have not put any signs out directing you to the park, there is no information on their website or when making the reservation, and they don't answer the phone. Just "Leave a message and we'll get back to you within 24 hours. No help at all when you're circling the general area. Overall the park is nice, employees were helpful, but even without the road hassle, the value is marginal at best. Road construction is rumored to last most of 2019. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Dear LMH, thanks for staying at our RVC Outdoor Destination at Garden of the Gods. The construction has been a challenge, and will be leaving our area very soon, although it will continue further up the road. While a challenge, it is still a wonderful place to visit. We wish we could place signage on the road........the construction team will not allow it unfortunately. We apologize for our lack of communication via the website or the telephone. I hope that you will give us another chance to serve you at Garden of the Gods or at another of our locations. Our website is www.rvcoutdoors.com Sincerely, Lloyd Lauland, president of RVC Outdoor Destinations
