Agree with recent reviews, will add comments about staying during a significant rain event, which we experienced. The gravel sites did fine as most are elevated, a few near the entry had some standing mud puddles, as did some of the park roads. We looked at the more 'convenient' in-town parks, which are unbelievably crowded together. No comparison here - lots of trees, well maintained, huge sites. The 17 mile trip into central Colo Springs is a small price to pay for the benefits. Downside is frequent fully-loaded gravel trucks use the adjacent county road, 3+ per hour during work hours. Quiet at night. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Three nights we used the Passport America rate listed above and one night we paid full price. We enjoyed our stay. It is a quiet and calm park with friendly, helpful staff that are always working to improve the park. There were several long term campers but their sites were well kept and they were very friendly. Lots of wildlife and a beautiful stream. We saw bear tracks, deer, rabbits, etc. (One deer peeked into our RV while we were having breakfast.) We had full hook-ups, Verizon cell service (no AT&T), and cable. About a 20-25 minute drive to Colorado Springs attractions. There is a store on site with the basic essentials. We will stay here again.

We stayed here in a 25 foot motorhome but the sites would (and did) accommodate motorhomes of all sizes. The park is in the process of enlarging the sites and adding landscaping but we stayed in the older section. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Get hiking nearby - Drive to Helen Hunt Falls and hike on to Silver Cascade Falls. Next, stop by the Mt. Cutler trail and hike to a beautiful view of the Seven Falls. These are easy to moderate hikes and are good hikes to help you adjust to the altitude.

We also recommend Garden of the Gods which you can view driving or hiking. The Air Force Academy tour was very good and we also had a great time taking backroads with our four wheel drive toad.

Stayed 4 nights while in the area. Lots of long term campers and the park is big rig friendly. Well kept up facilities. Located about 15 miles south of Colorado Springs on Rte 115. Your rating on the park depends on what is important to you. Here are the pros and cons that we saw. Pros: Friendly staff, clean and neat park, adequate space between spots, deer around in the evening, good walking trails nearby, good park if you stay around your camper during the day, playground and dog park. Cons: No AT&T cell coverage, far enough away from Colorado Springs to be some hassle, occasional low water pressure, lots of variation in campsite utilities and layouts (some have cable, some don't, some have sewer, some don't, etc). TV antenna reception very limited. Wi-Fi difficult to access much of the time. Again, this is a nice park with hard working staff, so check with campground before arriving if certain utilities are important to you. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very quiet and secluded campground. Bathroom/showers are private, each having a toilet, sink, and shower, just like home. The campground was extremely clean. Lots of dogs being walked by their owners through the park, but I didn't see one poopy anywhere. Everyone picks up after their dogs. Most sites are spacious. All roads and sites are crushed gravel. I would give it a 10 except for the constant truck traffic running past the park starting at 6:00 am from a rock quarry up the road. I'd definitely stay again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Park is located about halfway between Pikes Peak and the Royal Gorge, so it's good location for sight seeing.

Just got back home from staying 5 days at this wonderful park. The staff was exceptional. They went out of their way to make room for us even though we didn't have a reservation. Reservations are highly recommended, as this place fills up fast. Even though our site didn't have cable , everything else made up for it. Every time I went outside to do something the staff stopped by to see if I needed help or to ask if I needed anything. The other utilities worked as they should, and the Wi-Fi was adequate. Not super fast, but strong signals and never dropped connection. Our site was gravel and level. It rained several times while we were there and never had to deal with mud or sinking in the gravel. Had deer wander through the campground every evening and was very enjoyable for my wife to watch them. I would HIGHLY recommend this campground and will definitely return if we are ever in the area again. This place is probably the quietest park we ever stayed in and VERY peaceful. I just can't say enough good things about this place. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

It's about 15 miles south of Colorado Springs, Co. And about an equal distance drive in any direction to the many local attractions. Pike's peak, Royal Gorge etc.

We've stayed here several times over the past 5 years, and we'll stay here again. It is a little remote, but 30 minutes driving will get you pretty well any facility you desire. The park itself is well laid out, even though some sites get a bit close due to the shape of the site. But everyone gets plenty of room, the sites are gravel but ours was flat and even. We have seen continued improvement of the park by the friendly owners. In short, nice park. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very well maintained rustic resort set in amongst pine trees. Staff were friendly and helpful at check in. Roads and all the sites are crushed stone. Our level site was a long wide and very spacious pull-through, the sites are separated by trees which adds to the feeling of privacy, big rig access was fair. Very peaceful and quiet with plenty of space for our towed. Lovely shade trees, fire ring, picnic table and a distant mountain view. There are a few long term residents but their sites were neat and tidy. The laundry was large and well equipped and the bathrooms old but clean. Pet friendly with plenty of places to walk your pet. Wi-Fi was very slow and there was no cell. No food stores or restaurants close by. It's a 21 mile trip into Colorado Springs for most things. Colorado Springs is a great town, so much to see and do, the list is endless. We would stay here again, it's a great place and having the mule deer walk through the camp each night was a treat.  We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely park. Located south of Colorado Springs but easy to drive to any of the sights. Staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Our dogs loved the dog park and we all loved the mule deer that visited every evening. Sites were separated by trees and not cramped. We would stay here again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Second time to stay here, but a little disappointed this time. I paid what everyone else paid but my site did not have cable. And when we tried to go to the hot tub, it was out of order. WiFi was very limited, especially at night until about 11 o'clock. Staff still has a lot of trouble with reservations and which RV sites are available. But, the deer are plentiful and the sites are lovely. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Many good things to say about this campground. This is our third visit and won't be our last, God willing. Sites very nice with plenty of room and good hook ups. Nice dog park and fun ice cream socials. The wildlife is almost tame and lots of fun to watch, it is a little far from town, I would love to see cable on all sites. But the pros outweigh the cons and we love it here. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wonderful park with plenty of space between sites. Clean showers and laundry room. We plan on returning next summer for a longer stay. We camped here for 2 weeks. The only negative at all was the wifi connection, which was quite slow at times. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

4th time here for 2 weeks. Great park, everything is so clean and the staff are all ways willing to help. They need to do something with the cell service as you have to drive 2 miles down the road to get service. I am giving it a 10 as the cell service is not there fault. The place is amazing; the deer just walk through camp and the bear is out at night and he loves hummingbird feeders he is so talented he takes them down turns them upside down unscrews the bottom and drinks the sugar water. Will be back again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The campground is very well kept and owner is helpful and friendly. Quite a few upgrades have been made since we were first here 2 yrs ago. It is in a beautiful setting and sites are level and rock based. Wifi was average and Verizon signal was good but not strong at times. We have stayed here 3 times and will again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park but many long term campers in all the best sites. Cons: Surge protector tripped twice in my camper not sure why. Water pressure low at times. No AT&T service. Cable TV OK but fuzzy. Dump truck route next to park who start work early. Pros: Nice landscape park with room between sites. Mule deer visit park regularly. Good strong Wi-Fi. We selected this park based on reviews and they were all true. This is a beautiful park, well maintained with nice sites for our 40 footer. We were camped on one of the 'terrace' sites, level and wide for slide-outs. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Some distance from Colorado Springs, but well off road and nice and quiet. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.
