Great location on the outskirts of Colorado Springs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. No ATT cellular service though until you get closer to town. Only complaint is that there were dogs that were left outside of their camper tied up and barked a lot over multiple days. Surprising that this site was close to the office and there is a written pet policy against it. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 8 nights in late June. The 8th night was free. We really like this park. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Sites were large and well maintained. Lots of shade, but we were still able to use our satellite. Very, very quiet at night. No cell service on ATT or Verizon. The WiFi was basically unusable - especially in the evening when all of the data hogs started streaming. There is truck traffic on the road Monday thru Thursday. They go slow and we didn't hear them. Good place to relax. Not a good place if you need cell or reliable WiFi. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nicely landscaped park with gravel roads and sites and lots of trees. No ATT signal or OTA TV. There is cable in the front part of the park, though those sites are closer to the road and the traffic noise from the gravel trucks that is mentioned in other reviews. WiFi was decent at times and unusable at other times, probably when traffic was high. The park is a little pricey for the amenities but we would stay here again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff at the campground. Most sites are somewhat shaded and have decent space plus table and fire ring. Full hookups at all. Unfortunately we had to move 5 times over 3 weeks. There is negligible cell service at the campground. Wifi is hit or miss. During the week there is tractor trailer traffic to and from the quarry 6am to 5pm. Heard/felt artillery or tank rounds from Ft Carson during some nights. My main beef is the price is comparable to a KOA, but there is no pool, jumping pillow etc. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed four nights. Campground was full; there seems to be many regular's that have there RV there full time. Campground is nice. It's a bit dusty, mostly due to the drought going on. All gravel roads. There is no reception for my phone or TV (none) ;got this complaint from my fellow campers as well. There is cable but beware its not at all the sites I found out after I settled in. There is wildlife in the park deer seems to hang around there most of the day which is nice, also was a bear in the park not so nice but rangers where present to handle the bear. Its not a bad park its not a park for us no TV is a bummer for us and no phone you can use the office phone if needed. WiFi was pretty good. Will not go back to this park. You are out in the middle of nowhere; 12 miles either way for gas, farther for city enjoyment. There are several things you must do: Pikes Peak is a must if your on a motorcycle; we were. Cliff Dwelling and the cave of the winds where fun old town was nice great pizza place, all pretty easy to get to

Really nice RV park. As others have said the sites in this park except sites 1-10 are the largest sites we have encountered. The park is mainly full-timers, but in this case it is an asset. All of the people are super friendly and have organized activities during the week (bingo, taco Tuesdays, breakfast waffles, Halloween party... ). Very strict on the rules but that is what keeps the park looking so nice. Cell coverage was marginal with Verizon. The only real ding is the price. The water pressure would fluctuate a lot, between 20 an 65 psi. We will definitely be back. We camped there in a MH. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park. Very well maintained. Abundant wildlife. Very friendly and helpful staff. The downside was the wifi. It was hard to maintain connectivity from not only my coach (parked very near office) but from in the lounge area. I would hope that ownership can upgrade the wifi so that it is at least consistent in the lounge area and hopefully the entire resort. A plus that I appreciated is that although this is a high end resort, they don't have the 10 year rule and welcomed my 18 year old class a as they did the new KingAire parked across the road. Love, love this place!! Staff is ultra helpful at the drop of a hat. Wifi was adequate at times but I had zero cell service (ATT). The campsites are the largest we've encountered in our 3 years of traveling. Vegetation dotted each campsite. We will be back! We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

So many things to do. We loved the train at the Royal Gorge but were unimpressed with the cog train at Pike's Peak. Manitou Springs was beautiful and our favorite place was the Garden of the Gods.

The real downside to this has not to do with the facilities - beautiful park - but the fact that it is far from the most desirable places to see in the area. The Manager is excellent and nearly all the staff are great and friendly as well. Unlike most of the parks we have been to they do not sell propane. Not so much a big deal except the closest place to get it is about 20 miles away. If you are on a site near Barrett Road you will have truck noise of quarry trucks going back and forth - but rv parks tend to have road noise, railroad noise, airport noise, etc. They have a waffle day and probably the best waffle and trimmings I have seen ANYPLACE. Wildlife - not human - is both good and bad. I think most people here are long term. Everyone very nice. Once settled in we saw that our site was the one that was on the cover of their brochure! Excellent "campground" stay with pine trees, wildlife wandering through the park, fire pits at every site and rock retaining walls separating sites. Excellent general store and camper lounge hosting ice cream socials on Saturday nights and waffle breakfasts on Sunday morning. Park is a long way from central Colorado Springs - actually closer to Canon City so not an ideal spot as a base camp if your focus is sightseeing the Colorado Springs activities. But a perfect place to just hang out and enjoy the great outdoors. Dog park was all dirt but the playground was nice. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

If your idea of camping in Colorado is a wooded mountain setting - then this is the place for you. It is located about 30 minutes South of Colorado Springs on Hwy 115. It is easy access to all of the attractions in the Colorado Springs area. It is also about 30 minutes to the Royal Gorge Tourist train. Most of the sites are terraced and level to accommodate the various elevation changes in the park. Generally all the sites are large and well spaced with some shade at most. The Wi-Fi is great. The water is good and the cable TV has over 20 channels. Some are very clear while others - not so much. Cell phone service is very "iffy" at the park, but fine once you get out to the highway. They can easily accommodate big rigs. We would stay here again. The only downside is they are a little pricey at $49 per night. Passport America is the only discount they offer - for a maximum 3 nights.
As a side note - you can expect to see deer and wild turkeys roaming free thru out the park. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed a month, as we full time. $695+ power. True camping in the trees. Satellite iffy, cable iffy. Laundry spotless. Some spaces right on top of each other, others roomier. Nearly impossible cell service. Staff very nice. Plenty of social activities. Very popular in season. Probably won't stay again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very quiet, treed, spacious, terraced gravel sites. Far different then the typical parking lot rv parks. With their acceptance of Passport America, it is a real bargain. The only drawback is the location being a ways out from downtown Colorado Springs and no ATT service. We had site 25 which was a very spacious long pull through with trees but the trees have been carefully trimmed to avoid any contact. There was a new wifi antenna directly adjacent to the site resulting in excellent wifi. Cable tv worked good. All other utilities worked good. Spacious private bathrooms. Large fenced dog park. A lot of motion detecting lighting that comes on when needed. Rate was based on average of one night of passport america and one night of full rate. The price indicates good Sam. For PA it will be $22.00

They don't take PA between Fri-Sun.

Very friendly staff that worked hard to resolve our issues.

Great wifi reception though bandwidth is limited so no streaming. Spacious flat sites arranged in different elevation and direction, no traffic noise.

Campground is paved with red coarse gravel which is not so pet friendly even though it looks very nice for people.

There are few back in sites that back to a small creek but they mostly very sunny with no shade. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 4 nights while in the area. Lots of long term campers and the park is big rig friendly. Well kept up facilities. Located about 15 miles south of Colorado Springs on Rte 115. Your rating on the park depends on what is important to you. Here are the pros and cons that we saw. Pros: Friendly staff, clean and neat park, adequate space between spots, deer around in the evening, good walking trails nearby, good park if you stay around your camper during the day, playground and dog park. Cons: No AT&T cell coverage, far enough away from Colorado Springs to be some hassle, occasional low water pressure, lots of variation in campsite utilities and layouts (some have cable, some don't, some have sewer, some don't, etc). TV antenna reception very limited. Wi-Fi difficult to access much of the time. Again, this is a nice park with hard working staff, so check with campground before arriving if certain utilities are important to you. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
