Friendly, cooperative staff with a can-do attitude. This is a large, beautiful, "out in the country" park. A bit pricey for the location, but a very nice place to stay. Our site was level. Off-leash dog park was fairly small, but a welcome feature. Combination private bathroom and shower was convenient and clean. On site store for snacks, ice cream, and supplies. The WiFi was terrific -- very fast, with great coverage everywhere in the park. (No trouble streaming video.) We would stay here again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is a gem, tucked away in the mountains south of Colorado Springs a short distance. The sites are arranged in such a way that you feel like your truly away in the mountains. We had a pull thrunsite which was huge and accommodated our trailer and Truck hooked up. Beside us was a Class A motorhome which had plenty of room also. Beside where we put the trailer was a large area with a picnic table and fire ring. All the staff/owners were so very welcoming and nice and we were made to feel relaxed, at ease and that nothing was too much trouble. We stayed here for 3 nights and were sorry to leave. On Saturday night there was an Ice Cream Social in the lounge area beside the office and on Sunday morning a Waffle Bar. $1 per person for each and both were super and it was fun to meet fellow campers. From here we visited the Air Force Academy and The Garden of the Gods. We also drove to Canon (a short drive away) and took the train ride through the Royal Gorge. We recommend all these side Trips! We rated this park 20 out of 10!!! We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

I would like to thank the owner for assisting with getting a friends 5th wheel out of a ditch and leaning up against a tree. The way he and his crew worked together with their knowledge of raising and moving the 5th wheel so not to cause more damage was a miracle in its self. He had the know how to lift the rig and how to block the rig so that it would not cause more damage. Thank You, we will be back very soon. This is one of our most favorite campgrounds to attend. One of the friendliest owners I have met. Very willing to bend over backwards to assist at anytime weather it was a minor or major event.

I would go back to this campground every year if I could! The sites are spacious but tricky to park: the campground crew was incredibly helpful. There is not a lot of activities for kids, but we spent a lot of time doing local activities. The grounds are all rock, which isn't the greatest for bike riding. This is a great place for a quiet getaway and relaxing. We saw lots of hummingbirds and the setting is beautiful. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great location for activities in both Colorado Springs and Pueblo. If you have pets, consider bringing a sizable rug as the rock is hard on them for a long period of time.

Very nice park located just south of Colorado Springs. The grounds are very nice, and they seem to always be improving. We were greeted and escorted to our site by a nice gentleman. The staff had a waffle bar for Memorial Day weekend and an ice cream social in the evening. There are many deer that frequent the park. The wifi was ok and the Verizon signal was little to none. There is a small playground but that's about it for the little ones. Everyone that we encountered could not have been any nicer, would recommend and would stay again. We spent about two weeks at the park. It's beautifully laid out with huge gravel sites. We had trailers over 40' next to us and we still had tons of room. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The laundry room was excellent and the machines were so efficient that they were very reasonable. I dried all our clothes in about 24 minutes. There is a huge lovely lounge with a giant TV. You are out in the forest and deer and turkeys wander through the park. We were here in November so it was cold out and I have no comment on the hot tub. My only minor complaint is that the lounge and immaculate showers were kept a little cold, considering the outside temperature. We really like this place and would definitely return. Tips for other Campers:

This park is out in the country. My husband spent some time fishing. The Arkansas River is not too far away and there are nice ponds just a few miles down the road. It is a bit of a haul into Colorado Springs, although we went into town several times. If you want a beautiful quiet place out in the country, this is it.

Mountaindale is a very nice campground off the beaten track. The sites are level and I saw maintenance actually using survey equipment to level a site. The entire campground is well packed gravel with beautiful landscaping.

The Wi-Fi worked fine but I didn't like having to log in twice to use it. There are numerous repeaters throughout the CG and you have to experiment to find the best one. Again, you have to log in twice to each one.
Cable is analog and reception at my site was snowy.

This CG is a nice base camp while touring the Colorado Springs area. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Just got back home from staying 5 days at this wonderful park. The staff was exceptional. They went out of their way to make room for us even though we didn't have a reservation. Reservations are highly recommended, as this place fills up fast. Even though our site didn't have cable , everything else made up for it. Every time I went outside to do something the staff stopped by to see if I needed help or to ask if I needed anything. The other utilities worked as they should, and the Wi-Fi was adequate. Not super fast, but strong signals and never dropped connection. Our site was gravel and level. It rained several times while we were there and never had to deal with mud or sinking in the gravel. Had deer wander through the campground every evening and was very enjoyable for my wife to watch them. I would HIGHLY recommend this campground and will definitely return if we are ever in the area again. This place is probably the quietest park we ever stayed in and VERY peaceful. I just can't say enough good things about this place. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This was our second stay at this Campground/Resort. Again another great time! The sites are all raised and terraced with stone and colorful gravel (stones). Along with wonderful trees. The sites are level and easy to pull into or back into. Our full hook up was great. They have good wifi and since the resort is located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains TV antennas did not work. Most folks have satellites. Clean wash rooms and very nice laundry room. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a gorgeous park. Immaculately laid out and maintained with beautiful landscaping. The area is beautiful, as well. Sites are very large, level and easy to get in. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our rate reflects Good Sam (GS) discount which they honored even though they are not a GS park. With all this said, we will probably not stay here again, as it is a little remote for us. They have a Colorado Springs address, but the park is about 10 miles south of the city proper. A lot of older people (we are older too) so might be a little boring for the younger set. We are very active, so we found ourselves leaving the park for the day to find activities which called for a lot of driving. But if you are looking for a super quiet park where you just want to relax - this is it! We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This Camp/RV Resort is awesome! Very friendly and professional staff! Property is well maintained and clean! All the facilities are very well kept and clean! The camp sites are large and spacious giving each unit ample space and privacy. Nestled at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains the view and wildlife are wonderful. This camp resort can most certainly accommodate all types of camping from tents to large motor homes. This was our first visit to this area and camp resort. We are already planning on coming back next year for a much longer extended stay. Thank You, to all the Mountaindale RV Resort staff ! Cannot say enough good things about this park. It is fabulous! Sites are large and each are unique. The owner is constantly updating and making sites larger. Hard to find a bad site here. It's a bit out of town, but that made it so quiet. Takes about twenty minutes to get to stores. Very near to Cheyenne State Park for loads of hiking. We stayed a week and loved every minute! Will make a point to stay here again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Friendly office staff: they drove us around so we could pick out our site. Red rock gravel roads and RV sites which means no dust. Lots of evergreen trees for shade; very large sites with a picnic table & plenty of room for your tow vehicle. Clean showers/toilets; laundry with 4 washers and 4 dryers costing about $3 to wash&dry a load of clothes. They must truck in their water so the pressure is OK but not great at times. Wi-Fi was fair to good. They have a resident deer population which wandered the park at will begging handouts and head rubs. Our major complaint was the park is located 20 miles from Colorado Springs so groceries and restaurants were a long drive. We would stay here again! First off, this park is not in Colorado Springs. it is probably 10-15 miles Southwest of town. That being said, it is a really nice park out in a rural area. The entire park is crushed rock which leads to a small amount of dust. The Wi-Fi and cable TV was some of the best we've used. The staff were very accommodating. Rate was PA. This was the second time we stayed at this camp ground. We stayed in August and were thrilled with the campground. This was by far the best campground we have ever stayed in. We returned in September for a month's stay. All personnel were very friendly and accommodating. Sites are extremely large. We are returning for three months this year (2013).
