Great campground with friendly and helpful staff. Large level pull throughs with grass between sites. Utilities worked great including strong wifi. We stayed a couple nights to see local museums and also bike ride in Steamboat Springs which is 45 minutes away. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here the day before their official opening of April 1. The owners are super friendly, beautiful Park, well kept, fenced dog run and lots of nice extras, like a place for hunters to hang their game. I didn't use the shower/ bathroom but did look in. The fixtures all look new, everything clean and shiny. The owners really take good care of this place and it shows. WiFi and phone worked great. TV is not free, you have to rent a digital box. This is the only reason I didn't rate it a 10. We would be happy to return here again. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects one night, 50 amp full hookup, premium site. This is a small, but nice park typical of KOAs. We were parked on the far side with the full-timers, but didn't have any of the problems noted by other campers. The long pull-through site (#79) had plenty of room for our 40' coach with all four slides and enough room to leave our tow hitched up. There is book exchange in the laundry room. The park is very clean and well maintained. Watch for the sign on the road as it can sneak up on you. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed our visit to the Museum of Northwest Colorado, 590 Yampa Ave. in downtown Craig. Free admission and their Cowboy & Gunfighter collection is extremely well done. J.W. Snack's Bar & Grill BBQ'ed ribs made for a great takeout dinner (210 E. Victory Way, about 5 minutes from park.)

Nice park. Excellent WiFi. Might be because I was parked directly across from office. Pool was closed. No over-the-air TV. Management stated their cable was "digital" you needed to put down a $75 deposit for a converter box and even then you only had a 50/50 chance of getting a signal. Lot of trees in the park and this could be a problem with getting a satellite signal. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Craig is a nice little town. Nothing notable to do hear. Steamboat Springs is about 30 miles east and Dinosaur National Monument in Jensen UT. is about 100 miles west.

Spent one night while passing thru. Sites are close together. They parked us on what looked to be rows used for long term stays. numerous construction trucks parked on sites and in roads. There were other pull thru sites available but for some reason they didn't put us in one of those. Acceptable for one night but typical narrow and over priced KOA campground. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

This was the worst KOA I ever stayed in. Placed in a spot with only about 10 to 12ft left to our right, which was next to 4, 20 gal propane tanks. Entire 2 rows were perm trailers. Double parked trucks everywhere. Understand the long term stays bring in needed cash, but I believe the short stays should be separate, even for the sake of navigating through all the additional traffic & debris laying around. The only park in Craig. Smaller park, but we saw a few 40' coaches having to unhook the toad. Pool not open. Staff nice. Kind of expensive for what you get. Will stay again. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Motorhome.

I stayed here for 5 days while visiting friends in Craig. I have been hunting in Craig for 15yrs, and have never stayed here as it simply was run down, and needed some attention. The faculty is now a KOA and is under new ownership. Ed is working hard to clean the place up, and both he and his wife are very friendly. The bathrooms were spotless and the grounds were very well maintained. My rig is over 66ft long and Ed made sure that I had a pull thru that would suit my needs. I will be staying here on my future hunting trips and am anxious to see the work they have done when I return. It's nice to see someone taking pride in their investment, and sprucing the place up. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Price with GS discount. Good for overnight because only campground in town. Right on the highway . Sites were close together and tight but wasn't too bad because mostly overnighter. Not far from town and stores. Looks like it use to be an old KOA. Next time I think we would stay in Steamboat. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is really the only choice in town and the staff are very friendly. It is a former KOA and is not bad. It is just outside town making for easy access to Walmart, restaurants, etc. Gripes were that the drain was at the back of the pull-thru site where power was near the front. That was a challenge for us. Road noise is moderate and no fire rings or even a BBQ grille at our site - though some other sites had BBQ. We would stay here again if we needed to be in the area. The people of Craig, CO were all very friendly. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Way over priced! Yet, only game in town. Level sites. Highway noise. Not a bad campground at all. Just was much too expensive for what was available. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice stopover campground. Ladies at the front desk are very accommodating. They have a nice pet walk. For big rigs, they let you take up two sites when they aren't full, so that you don't have to unhook. The campground is within a couple of miles from a Walmart and restaurants. We stopped here twice within the last month for overnight stays. On the negative side, there is a train track that runs along the back side, but the train doesn't seem to come through very often. When the wind is blowing, there is a lot of sandy dust from the road within the campground and surrounding area. We will stop here again when we come through. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Motorhome.

Nice ladies at front desk, quick check-in, we were led to our site, and the whole place is spotless. What else could we ask for? This is a typical Western U.S. campground, with gravel, nice trees, some lawn areas between sites, and is pet friendly. I'm using the laundry right now and all is in working order and clean. We are happy campers here and would recommend it. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Nice cg in Craig. We find the campgrounds in CO more expenpsive than other places but this one is very clean, nice people in the office, good WIFI, good cable, great pull thrus for easy in and easy out when you are on the road and don't want to unhook. Sites and roads are gravel. Easy maneuvering for a big rig. We have stayed before and will stay again. We camped at Craig KOA (formerly Craig Campground) in a Motorhome.
