Overall Rating:

I spent 9 nights on the "RV ParK" side. This is a very professionally run park in a beautiful area of Colorado. Unfortunately, the prolonged drought in the are made for more dust (sites and roads are gravel) than I've experienced on previous stays. I had a large back-in site that accommodated my 40-foot motorhome and tow vehicle. Hookups worked fine, but placement of sewer was near the rear of the site. WiFi, though adequate, was less reliable than on previous stays. There were many folks with side-by-side OHV there, but they were not noisy and respected the speed limits. My only other annoyance was the insensitivity of some other campers to fly flags with overt political messages I didn't appreciate. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lots of scenic and recreational opportunities in the area. The Creede Repertory Theater was an unexpected surprise. They put on some great performances at two venues in Creede.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 weeks. Rates go up from $36 to $45 starting 7/1. We stayed in the RV Park side, you can stay in the resort side if the owner has put it in the rental pool. Those sites have concrete pads and a bit more landscaping. Our site was very spacious. The reason for this is that nearly everyone has ATVs and other toys and the spaces accommodate all that. Park right on the Rio Grande and very close to Creede. They have a dog run, dog laundry and dog wash! Would be a great place for a rally. Laundry, meeting rooms, rec room, etc. Would definitely return! We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed 1 mo in our 36'MH. The grounds are unbelievable and we would have scored higher but the WIFI is very unreliable and cell service (AT&T & Verizon) is spotty. One is out in the boonies and at 9100' elevation here so be prepared. All sites are back-in and huge. Most campers have an ATV or 4WD as a USFS is nearby. Flyfishing on the Rio Grande is fantastic. Tips for other Campers:

Creede is the closest town with limited support resources. Most hiking involves wet stream crossings and steep climbs. ATV/4WD is the way to explore.

Overall Rating:

Overall, a nice park that is very pretty itself in addition to the beauty of these Colorado mountains. Depends on what you're looking for if you'll want to stay here. It's nice and cool mornings in Creede in September so that's what we were after. Maybe 1/2 of the park is dedicated to "purchase" spaces and the other 1/2 is for temporary stays.

Mountain trail RZRing is popular so almost every one of the owners has a four wheeler they take out regularly as there are numerous trails in the area.

We stayed in the "resort" side where we had a concrete patio, level site, good water, nicely landscaped. We had absolutely no wifi, no tv stations available, and no cable offered. Felt like upscale camping due to the site itself.

Our dogs had lots of trouble getting to somewher they could do their business as the park prohibits dogs on anything grassy or green, 2 as they say. The driveways are not asphalt and consist of large and small river stones which apparantly hurt our dogs' paws so they were reluctant to walk around much (very unusual for them). For dog owners, this to us was a big negative and we won't be back. If you're not a pet owner, no problem except that vehicle travel over their driveways is pretty noisy.

The entrance has a flagpole which has a permanent US flag flying. When we arrived the flag had no light on it at night, breaking respectful protocol, and I mentioned to those in the office that the flag should be taken down each night or a light needed to be on the flag. Good for them 3 days later a light was shining on the flag at night. It appeared to be an all weather flag as well, which is proper. We enjoyed our monthly stay here. Our site was wide and level and utilities easily accessible. The park is well maintained. They have Sunday morning non denominational church services. There are other activities available. We camped on the resort side and the wifi there was very weak. I think it must be better on the park side as there were antennas at various places there. I also like that the park is gated and felt safe. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a small grocery store in town and lots of specialty shops. There are lots of four wheel drive trails in the area. North Clear Creek Falls, Bachelor Loop, Last Chance Mine, Alpine Loop in Lake City, are all a must see. MJ's is a great place to eat in Creede. Blue Creek Restaurant between Creede and South Fork is also a great place to eat. Freemons between Creede and Lake City is a good place for breakfast sandwiches and hamburgers.

This is a real gem of a park. It is divided in two sections one is a regular RV park mostly gravel sites, the other side is 40 year leases. We stayed on the lease side, it has concrete patios, and more landscaping. The Rio Grande River runs along the RV park. The laundry room is the nicest I have every seen, there are two lodges, and a stocked fishing pond. There is great fishing, hiking, and 4-wheeling in the area. Highly recommend this RV park. Tips for other Campers:

Creede is a small mountain town, with several restaurants, and shops. There is some live music, and live theater. The bachelor loop is nice drive that can be done with out 4 wheel drive, lots of old mines. There is a lot of good fishing, and 4-wheeling in the area. Everyone we met at the park were very friendly, and welcoming.

This is a very nice RV Park. We stayed on the resort side. All gravel roads and site. Concrete pads with tables. Wonderful views of the mountains. Creede is a very interesting town. Old mining town. It is quite picturesque. ATVing seems to be the activity of choice. There are lots of roads and trails in the area requiring 4 wheel drive and/or ATV. Tips for other Campers:

We had dinner at the Antlers Lodge right along the Rio Grande River. It was excellent atmosphere and cuisine. The headwaters of the Rio Grande River is about 25 miles north on the Silver Thread Scenic Highway. As we have been to Big Bend National Park and Brownsville, which is the terminus of the Rio Grande, we enjoyed seeing the headwaters.

A great place to get away from the cites, nice sized sites, good utilities, good Verizon, you can buy lots, rent from owners or rent from the park, we loved Creede but it's a small town with a small grocery store so if you stay for extended periods be prepared for a day trip for big shopping. Unless you own a site you can't use the gym which is probably my biggest ding on the park. The park is in 2 sections, a campground section and a class A section. We stayed in the Class A area but the campground is really very nice and cheaper. We talked about returning for a month next time. At a little over 9000ft it's great for summer. Easy access from Hwy 149. The park roads in the Resort portion are gravel and sites are dirt and level. Road layout makes it easy maneuvering in a big rig. Sites are gigantic (40' x 80') and range in width, but more than adequate to park beside/behind the camper with fencing buffers. Every utility and connection is conveniently located and are up to spec. Facilities, grounds, recreations and luxuries were clean and maintained. Neighbors are friendly and helpful, staff is accommodating and escort you to your site. This is a destination park with gated access and some lots owned by campers. Overall Rating:

I spent 4-days here in July 2016 and found this park to be very nice and welcoming. I didn't reserve in advance but called the morning of my arrival. I ended up in the "Resort" section in a site that was for sale but had not been sold. It was a beautiful site with a great view of the mountains, a water feature at the front of the site and a gravel walking trail at the front, as well.

The bathhouse is clean and nice but not up to the standards of the rest of the park. There is only one bathhouse and it's on the "RV Park" side, not the "Resort" side. The Laundry looked big and well laid out. It too is only on the RV Park side.

In reality there isn't much difference between the two sides. But the sites on the Resort side are available for 40-yr lease and are improved with pads, patios, outdoor dining/kitchens etc.

The wifi is pitiful. It drops all the time. I'm typing this in the park and I'll guess that the wifi will drop while writing. You can pay $3 a day to get better Wifi and I should have tried it. I just wasn't sure it would be any better than the free Wifi.

Cell service here is all 3G. My Verizon and ATT hotspots both show 3 bars and 3G service.

The sites are very large but unless you lease a lot for 40-yrs they are simply gravel with a picnic table, but plenty of room for your RV and tow vehicle/toad.

I'll be back that's for sure. It's a solid 8.5 to 9. Especially in this remote part of Colorado. Remote but absolutely beautiful. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Half the park sites are owned and owners can landscape as they want other half is for rent. Fishing pond, you keep fish you catch, rainbow trout. $4.50 per fish. Good sized fish. This is a wonderful park in one of the most interesting places in Colorado. The campground is close to the banks of the Rio Grande River. The campsites are level, the hookups all work and are modern. The sewer hookups in our site was a bit far from the RV, requiring and extra length of sewer hose. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I spent 2 nights at this park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Given the size of the park, I was impressed that the staff always called me by name. My pull-thru site easily accommodated my motorhome and toad, and I had a nice view of the mountains. Another plus for me was the WiFi performance-- excellent for a park this size. This is a very nice, good quality, well maintained campground with two separate buildings with satellite TV available, BBQ grills, billiards / pool table, DVD player, Sunday church service, and more. However, they still do not have quality Wi-Fi despite their advertised new top of the line system! According to the disclosure one must sign to get their free Wi-Fi log in (for one device only) it describes the basic free service as only being able to log on to the Internet. (Not sure why they bother with the free since it even states very limited service). That is their bronze service. Next is Silver Wi-Fi which states will allow you to surf the net and check email. After the bronze (free) did nothing for us as its speed was too limited do do anything, we jumped up and paid for the Gold service which was advertised to allow streaming Netflix etc, yet it too was a dismal failure with no such capability or reliability. Until they get the bugs worked out and they pay their provider for real Internet accessibility, do not expect to have reliable Wi-Fi, not even if you are willing to pay extra for their reported best connection. Again, even if it worked as advertised, you would be limited to one device only unless you are willing to pay for each additional device access. Wi-Fi here is sadly still a dream (see older reviews - it has always been poor or worse). We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.
