This is a very nice, good quality, well maintained campground with two separate buildings with satellite TV available, BBQ grills, billiards / pool table, DVD player, Sunday church service, and more. However, they still do not have quality Wi-Fi despite their advertised new top of the line system! According to the disclosure one must sign to get their free Wi-Fi log in (for one device only) it describes the basic free service as only being able to log on to the Internet. (Not sure why they bother with the free since it even states very limited service). That is their bronze service. Next is Silver Wi-Fi which states will allow you to surf the net and check email. After the bronze (free) did nothing for us as its speed was too limited do do anything, we jumped up and paid for the Gold service which was advertised to allow streaming Netflix etc, yet it too was a dismal failure with no such capability or reliability. Until they get the bugs worked out and they pay their provider for real Internet accessibility, do not expect to have reliable Wi-Fi, not even if you are willing to pay extra for their reported best connection. Again, even if it worked as advertised, you would be limited to one device only unless you are willing to pay for each additional device access. Wi-Fi here is sadly still a dream (see older reviews - it has always been poor or worse). We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very beautiful area and this campground has a great commercial size laundramat. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The campground is well maintained and kept very clean. On the downside, there are no local channels so if you don't have a satellite dish, you're hosed. I love all the activities one can do in this area. I would give them a higher rating if it weren't for the snail paced and terrible Wi-Fi service they provide. It is continuously overwhelmed and in order to check mail, you either have to do so very late at night, at the wee hours of the morning, or take your laptop to their wired setup, or what we ended up doing, going to the Chamber of Commerce to use theirs. As large as this campground and RV resort is, they should invest in getting better Internet service, provide Cable TV service, or broaden the Satellite TV service they only provide in their clubhouse to include the sites. Although we enjoyed our monthly stay here, due to the aforementioned lack of services, we will forgo this campground when we are back in the Creede area. Another example of a good park that misses the mark of being a great park. The views are great; the sites are of ample size. Water pressure was good and the electricity never wavered. We stayed on the resort side thinking it would be better; well, it was and it wasn't. The resort side has concrete patios, tables and are a bit larger than the "park" side. The staff was friendly and led us to the site and helped parking. However, even though we made reservations over 6 months ago, requesting a site that was north facing so that the afternoon sun would not hit the passenger side of the coach, we were given a site facing south. We asked to be moved, but were told that we couldn't be moved as this was the site we were assigned to. Due to the sun, we could not use the patio until the sun went down, and by then it was getting too cool to enjoy it. We met another couple that had a beautiful site facing the river with little afternoon sun. They made their reservation about a month or so before getting there. So much for first come first served. The sites were angled (as they should be) to the road, but in laying out the resort/park they angled them so that they would get the afternoon sun rather than afternoon shade from your coach. No wi-fi, and as usual they said that they "were fixing it". DSL was available at the office. Trash dumpster was a long hike. Despite this, we would stay here again, and recommend Creede as it is a quaint town with a surprising variety of shopping (including a well stocked grocery store) for a town of 500 permanent residents. Mountain Views is by far the best resort/park in the area, but if you are going to stay there be sure to insist upon a north facing site. For some odd reason more of the sites in the park are north facing, but are gravel with no patios and are slightly smaller. Views are better if you are north facing and you can enjoy sitting out in the afternoon. As said, we would come back. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I have stayed at this park for 4 consecutive summers; 1 week, 3 weeks, 3 months and hopefully,3 months. This is a well kept park with beautful scenery, access to hiking, atv-ing and fishing; trout pond on site. The main detracter to this otherwise exceptional facility is the wi-fi which is totally useless. It is so bad this year (2011) that staff have been telling guests that it is bad and have set up a few cable sites near the office! If you want to use your computer to do business while traveling, do not pick this park! We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This the fourth time we have stayed at this park. The resort side is very nice, with lots of grass, statuary and amenities if you can afford to buy into it. But the RV park side is going downhill fast. I think the last time we stayed here we gave it a ten rating, but not this time. The gravel is worn down so it is dusty. The maintenance staff act like they own the place and are sometimes rude. You are supposed to drive only 5 mph, but they run around like mad men in their carts much faster. They will water what little grass is left next to your trailer with out any consideration that they are watering your trailer at the same time. So this morning my electric line, water line and sewer line were all soaked. The electric box is at the front of the space, the sewer line is at the back and the water line is at the middle, so bring all extensions you may have. There is only one dumpster for the entire park, 97 spaces on the park side and about that many more spaces on the resort side, so the dumpster fills up in one day, and the trash truck only comes twice a week. Wi-Fi is very poor and they give you all sorts of conditions on how to use it: too many limits. Download your email and get off. The grass in the dog park is all dead, but they water the two trees every day. Now they are getting a little particular about your RV. They asked me for the first time what year was my trailer. It's new! Why would they care? Unless an older model would not look good across from the million dollar Class A's. If the trash situation does not improve, and the Wi-Fi does not improve, we wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very friendly staff. Don't stay here in you need Wi-Fi. We were unable to connect to the internet for all 3 days. Told the staff and I'm not sure if they even checked. Thought they would at least check in with us. If you don't need Wi-Fi this is a nice location We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

If you make reservations, there is no refund of your deposit after 7 days. We made reservations in February for July, with 3 other couples. We asked to be together, which didn't happen. We were separated by about 4 rigs. One of our friends is on a walker so this was a real pain as everything in the park is gravel. When we arrived, we asked to be together as promised, and they said they would get back with us. There were vacant spots right by us. They said it was too complicated to change. There is only one dumpster in the whole park and it is a good hike. The dogs are not allowed on any grass and the dog run is by the dumpster and is way too small. We actually would drive to the trash and dog run. We would really like this park if they would improve the dog run and furnish more trash cans. There is also no cable TV or playground. Not a kid friendly park. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Two parks here: a RV Resort and a RV Park. The RV Park is where you stay if you are not an owner. All pictures are of the Resort, not the Park. The park is OK but not like the advertisements. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Large, commercial campground that mixes "owners" with paying campers. Not really pet friendly, no place to walk dogs except for large gravel that covers most of the part of the park where "outsiders" are allowed. Too expensive for what you get. Looked like to us that if you were a paying customer your rig faced south so that even with your awning down, you got the west sun. "Owners" sites had grass & landscaping. We would not stay here again if we could find another campground in or near Creede. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
