This is a lovely park with a great picnic area and lawn right next to the river and great view of Mt. Crested Butte. There is really beautiful landscaping and views in every direction. It is small - only about 20 back-in sites and very close to town. The sites are very close together with only a small strip of grass in between, but it wasn't hard to park. That all being said, when we arrived we were shocked to learn that our "Ultra Premium" site at the "RV Resort" that they were charging $75 per night for didn't even have sewer hookups! I complained to the owner (as with our rig I would never book a place without full hookups) and was told that it was due to environmental regulations and was in the email they sent me with my confirmation number. Turns out it was - in the 8th paragraph of the fine print it says they don't have sewer. Beware! I was also told to use their showers and bathrooms, but they only had 1 bathroom stall for women and 1 for men, and 2 showers, so there was always a line during peak times. It was also suggested that we tow into town and use the dump station there (which has weird hours), but that is far too much work with our rig. We would stay here again because we loved the area so much, but no longer than 3 days due to the sewer situation, which is a shame since it is such a lovely location. For the price they are charging they should offer free honey wagon service like other parks do if they can't have sewer hookups due to being so close to the river. If that isn't an option, then they really should adjust their pricing and naming, as they are in no way comparable to what I expect in an "Ultra Premium" spot at an "RV Resort" (no sewer, no pool, etc.) I guess they get away with this because they are the only RV park in the area. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed the area and the views! I just want to provide feedback to some of your comments about our pricing. The land in the Crested Butte area is very expensive and our season is extremely short. Without a winter business, which for us is Snow Removal, we would not be able to cover the mortgage and keep the lights on with just the RV Park. We understand the rates are high, and it's really a reflection of the property values in the area. As you discovered, we were not allowed to install sewer connections or a dump station due to our location on the Slate River. The only service available charges $45 per clean-out. With nightly rates between $55-$70, you can understand why we can't offer this for free. Our bathrooms and showers were built to State standards concerning the number of people using them and the number of toilets required. Hopefully you didn't have to wait too long!

If you stay here be aware that it can be expensive. The rate does not include $5 per night per dog. For a deposit you are charged the nightly rate and the pet fee and required to pay half up front. If you cancel more than 45 days out you pay for one night. Less that 45 days you loose your entire deposit. And if you have to cancel less than 21 days out, you are charged for the remainder of the total. Many RVers plans change to due health, breakdowns, etc. So be prepared to make your reservation or pay dearly. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice small RV park close to the great town of Crested Butte. This is a small park with owners living on-site. They have created a great atmosphere with a community fire pit and gathering area to hang out with your neighbors. Great views of the mountains. Really close to town and all that it offers for the outdoor enthusiast. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our family (2 rv's) spent 12 days enjoying the CB area. Our stay at the resort was great. Very clean, lovely landscaping, pet friendly with "doggie park" area for our pets. Owners were very helpful, gave great advice on hiking. New paver project enhanced the restroom/shower area. Flush station in town was easy to use. Hope to return; CB is a fun, friendly area! We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were pleasantly surprized how nice this park was. We had a great site overlooking the Slate River and the mountains to the West. Very clean site and friendly staff. We were in site 3. The industrial area is really not in view unless you have site 1. The issue with no sewer was not a problem. If one was there for an extended period, then one would have to either go into town to dump or have a porta potty service. We do that at our beach park at home. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Although full hookups were not available, this park was very nice. You are paying for the views and the proximity to Crested Butte. Spacious lots with an asphalt parking surface and a picnic table. We enjoyed the area and the park. We would stay here again. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

As others have noted this is the only RV park in Crested Butte. Sites are nice size, close together those backing to the river (premium and ultra premium) have a nice view of the mountain behind, but the other side is a light industrial area. The town and surrounding area is the reason to stay here. Other choices are the USFS campground at Lake Irwin which is a beautiful spot for a smaller rig, tent or truck camper and other scattered USFS campgrounds and dispersed areas. Bathrooms are small as noted in other reviews but clean and useful. The dump station is located at the city water dept. 722 Butte Ave., $10 fee. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Crested Butte is a pretty little mountain town with many dining and shopping options. The surrounding mountains are of course spectacular with miles of USFS roads to explore including one that crosses the Continental Divide and leads to Marble, Redstone, Carbondale and Aspen CO.

We were here right before they were closing for the season I think because we never saw the owners for the whole time we were at the campground. On our last 2 days we were the only ones there and the bathrooms were not cleaned for the 3 days we were there. That was concerning since there were no sewer hookups or dump stations locally. The campground looks very nice and might be better during prime season. It is also located in the back of an industrial park. If you look to the mountains you have a very nice view but not the other way. We might try this campground again during the prime season if in the area. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great little park, although the office is only manned a few hours each morning. Clean, quiet. No dump station on site. Flowers and a small tree between sites. Our site faced west toward a grassy area, stream, and mountains in the distance - beautiful. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

There are only 2 toilets (1 for men, 1 for women.) Yes, there was often a line for both. The toilet stalls did not have hot water. This was by design. There are 2 showers. They are very good, but there is no toilet in the shower rooms. One afternoon we got back from hiking and there was no water at all.

The dog walking area has knee-high weeds that are not mowed. It is necessary to walk through someone's campsite to get to the area.

There is no hookup for sewer.

The WIFI worked about 1/2 of the time. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Truck Camper.

The only park in Crested Butte, but an excellent place to stay. The hosts work hard to provide very nice sites with lovely landscaping. Beautiful views, spic 'n span facilities, easy walk or drive to town. They have added a pet fee. We look forward to staying here again. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We very much enjoyed the time we spent at Crested Butte RV. The property is clean and has beautiful views. The WiFi worked great. It's a little expensive, but we needed it for work a few hours each day and so it was completely worth it. It's close to town and trails, so very convenient too! Small park but great location. On the river and only 2 miles from town. The road to the golf course is just down the street. Nice wide sites, good power and water pressure. No sewer, as you are right on the river. Owners have installed new bathrooms with new separate showers, very nice. If you have a big rig make an early reservation as those spaces are limited. Large grass area with a BBQ and fire pit area. Will be back. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate is end of year. Sixty five all summer. A bit high, but what a great place. All gravel, but level. No laundry and a shower in a tent type barn. No sewer, which is tough if you want to stay a while. They offer a pump service from town that comes out for a fee. BUT... what a view and what a setting. It's a 12 on any scale. Right on a creek with picnic pavilion and fireplace sitting with a view that cannot be beat. I WILL stay here again. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A nice small park and the only one in the Crested Butte area. Very nice grassy area between the park and the river with a children’s play area and picnic shelter w/tables overlooking the river. Closeness of the river will require keeping close eye on children. All interior roads and parking slots are hard packed gravel. There is a good amount of room to maneuver around the sites. There are a limited number of “big rig” slots. Make sure you have reservations, if they are full you are looking at a 30 mile drive back to Gunnison for alternative parks. The area is new and still being developed. They are trying to develop plantings between the sites but given the growing conditions it may be a while before there is effective screening. Biggest drawback is the lack of sewer. Not only does this impact dumping but it also impacts the shower facilities which are very close to non-existent. Had good water and electric and the site was close to level. A nice dog area, but is unfenced so would not work for dogs that do not respond to voice commands. Real quiet while we were there. Good Verizon cell coverage, but had to go outside for reliable Wi-Fi. Awesome views except to the east where there is a light industrial area. We would stay here again and the sewer issue is the only thing that prevented me from giving a 9 rating. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.
