I camped in site #89 (30 amp electric only). Water tank fill stations on road to campsite. Be sure to fill up your tank because there is no water at your site in this park. It's a beautiful park with great hiking and abundant wildlife. It is not dog friendly but pets are allowed. Due to the remote location outside contact is limited. I was unable to get phone, Internet, TV, or radio at my site. It's a nice place but a little too remote for me. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Motorhome.

Not a dog friendly park. Other than no place to hike with your dog other than the campground road this is a really nice park. Great views and almost 40 trails. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $22.00

We've camped here once or twice a year for several summers. It's a great place to spend time in the mountains. Campsites are electric only, but the water spigots are spaced conveniently throughout the park and we didn't run out of water in our 5th wheel for the entire week we were here.

We've stayed in every camping section and this time we were in Conifer Ridge. The sites are well spaced and level and the views of Pikes Peak in this loop are amazing. Verizon signal was excellent and we were able to get a few OTA TV stations also. Grouse Mountain loop has a few sites where Verizon is pretty decent, too.

The campground was full the entire week and it was still a wonderfully quiet and peaceful experience. We did several of the in-park hiking trails, and also did The Crags, which is awesome and the entrance to it is only 1 mile south of the entrance to Mueller. Plenty of opportunity to walk your dogs at Mueller just on the campground roads, even if you can't take them on the hiking trails in the park. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Divide has a small grocery store with good selection of supplies. More options for shopping in Woodland Park, 8 miles east. Eleven Mile Canyon, 8 miles to the west, is a really gorgeous place to picnic, wade in the water, take pictures, fish for trout.

Great park with good sites and excellent views. No water or sewers, just electric. We did fine for a week for they have water pumping stations. We stayed on Peak View loop with a view of Pike's Peak. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Travel Trailer.

The campground is very well maintained. Almost all sites are partly or mostly shaded. The roads and parking pads are asphalt. Picnic tables and fire rings in a pea gravel area adjacent to parking pad. Some sites have awesome views. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Motorhome.

This park was a little bit of a disappointment. Most of the campsites are along the main road or in the middle of the road when it splits. There are a couple of loops that are a little more private but the campsites are all very close together. It's very crowded. There are a ton of hiking trails and they are very easy to follow. The people in the Visitor Center were very helpful. The park had laundry facilities that were modern and clean. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our favorite park that we have ever stayed in. Beautiful views of Pikes Peak, lots of tall trees. Nice hiking trails too. We were here in June so part of the park was closed due to elk calving. We were kind of exited about this but disappointed we never saw any elk at all. Great home base for visits to Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, and Cripple Creek. Facilities were very clean. Loved this park. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Mueller is beautiful and has amazing views. Tons of hiking trails. The park has a lot of options for different size rigs but gets pretty tight for larger RV's. If you have a bigger camper/trailer we would suggest going with a spot that is one size larger than you would normally get. The pull throughs can be narrow to get in and out of because there are so many large trees all around. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Travel Trailer.

The nicest CO state park we have ever visited. All blacktop, mostly level sites. Great comfort station. Bring your bike, lots of places to ride. Also some good geocaches here. It's big but the sites are well spaced. We camped after the summer crowds, no problem getting a site without a reservation. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I made this review months in advance and even then there was only one site available for the 4 nights I needed. I wouldn't have picked any other site though surprisingly! We had site 87 which is on the main drag but this site was larger than any site I've ever seen anywhere! Total privacy, up on the ridge, HUGE lot (think football field size) for the kids to explore, across from the toilet and dumpster.

This campground is beautiful in every way, by far the prettiest we've ever been at. We hiked once and it was very pretty double track(the Homestead trail). Some wildlife, had a buck and a couple does in our campsite. Shower facility is very nice, but it's annoying to pay for showers. They also don't have shower curtains in most of the showers and my wife had cold showers two mornings in a row (same stall). It was nice that they had laundry services.

The staff has lots of activities each day, from educational talks, to hikes and ranger talks. The playground is nice and the views, both at the comfort station and throughout the campground are astounding!

As for which sites to get. There's a group of sites right next to the comfort station that has really nice views, but the sites are close together and there's not any privacy. Sites 13-21(the ones along the edge) and sites 24-43 (again, the ones along the edge that overlook the valley) offer amazing views of Pikes Peak. Sites 123 and 124 are really cool with views and big rocks to climb on if that's your thing. I highly recommend the site we stayed at as well, site 87, as it's very large and has lots of privacy.

I would definitely stay here again! We camped at Mueller State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Great hiking trails, bike trails, and enough space- for the most part- between sites. Showers were probably busy- not awful, but obviously used. (We WERE there over the 4th of July holiday)

The park is very well taken care of. There are many trash receptacles through out. Can't wait to get back. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Absolutely stunning park with numerous hiking trails and an unbelievable view of Pikes Peak! The roads are wide and paved, the pull throughs are level and paved as well. There was very little traffic in the camping area, nice and quiet. The park was kept incredibly clean. Just 20 minutes to Colorado Springs. Would definitely camp here again!
