It was a nice park for the most part. The ladies at the front desk were very strict about the rules. Our spot was nice and long with plenty of room. The Wifi was non existent and the cable TV didn't work either. We stayed a week and it was a very convenient location with good freeway access. One down side is the fact that the dumpsters were always overflowing. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Big rig friendly with level sites. Easy access to I25. Showers, laundry, and cable were good. Wi-fi was spotty at our campsite but it was excellent at the office. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart was 2 miles and Camping World was 1 mile. Shopping and restaurants were 15 minutes but easy access on I25. Colorado Springs had beautiful scenery within 30 minutes including Old Colorado City, Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and Manitou Cliff Dwellers. All were worth visiting.

We've stayed here before. The staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. This is a nice RV park. I have only two complaints: (#1) the sewer connection at our site is set in a circle of concrete that slopes downward making a tight connection impossible. I had to place my connection over the opening and put a stone over it. (the site had two large stones for this purpose, I imagine.) (#2) The Wi-Fi is Lousy! We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Colorado Springs, of course, is a fairly big city where you can buy about anything you want or need. But, for most things, you need go no further than Fountain. It's a very nice little city.

This park is a mixed bag. It definitely is a commercial park. They try to get every bang for their buck by packing in rigs. We had a "deluxe" site, which was very long but very narrow. The pad was about 9.5 feet across, but that also includes sewer that sticks out of the pad, trees on both sides, bushes, etc. Even if you have a pull through, you need to be very aware of what surrounds you so you don't scratch anything if you have a big rig. The site itself is functional. You are very close to CO Springs. The splash park is amazing. If we had kids, this is where we'd stay no questions asked. It had water slides, a splash zone and full pool. This is a functional KOA, a bit tight, but functional. It is nicer than a Journey KOA but not somewhere we'd spend a lot of time on holiday, for sure. They had more grasshoppers than we've ever seen in our lives. The "river view" was a dam that you couldn't see from the site, but it's far from the road and nicer than some other sites. If you have a big rig, ask for a spot with no bushes/trees/rocks/sewer surrounding the immediate pad. Otherwise you'll take some time to park. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

The staff here was very friendly and helpful. Lots for kids to do here: waterpark, play area, and even a weekly hayride. A little cafe is onsite. Site and hookups were good, site was fairly level but we did sink a little in gravel so a block would be helpful. Like most older parks, the sites and roads get a little cramped, but can be easily navigated. The bathhouses could use a little more attention and possibly improving or updating, particularly the smaller one. We would stay here again. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

Great location to see all of the sights in Colorado Springs. The road noise can be noisy so try to get a site farthest from the highway. The sites have a bit of space between them with grass...but this is a commercial campground so they tend to be closer together than state parks. Our site was long enough for both our motorhome and tow vehicle. The workampers were everywhere and were very helpful, especially the guys on the golf carts and those in the store. The BIG excitement for this park is the new splash park, which was included with the cost of camping. We were told this had just opened. The biggest downfall of this park is the main road that was heaving and torn up. Just avoid it if possible until they get it fixed. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

Great work campers. (Seemed like they were everywhere!). Good location. Right off freeway but not too noisy. Trains in A.M. but I like them. If military, Fort Carson is right by there and one of the nicest military installations we've been to. If going north or want quiet, go to desert hot springs (careful, clothing optional some days), a very secluded quiet place for a soak. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

"The good" Great location, right on the freeway service road of I-25. Staff was great and helpful with problems we encountered. They scorted us to our site but that is standard at KOA. "The bad" Extremely cramped. The neighbors sewer connections are within 3-5 ' of your sitting area tables or chairs. Two horrible speed bumps at entry road, and the piece of road is maybe 250' long. Only room enough for one rig to check in at a time. Impossible for anyone to speed in the entry. Bumps were so big, they shifted things that were strapped down. Other big speed bumps are on interior roads Many interior roads are in horrible shape with some pot holes and crevices over a foot deep. I love KOA's but this one is the second worst one we have ever stayed at. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I have stayed here several times on my journeys to Colorado. Staff is always very friendly, place is always very clean, hookups are all in order and work well. Wifi works well. Just built a huge nice playground area. Lots of room to walk dogs and fenced in dog park. Very happy to stop here. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 weeks while exploring the CS area. I rated the value poorly because this is the most expensive place we have ever stayed and it is comparable to places that we were $125/week cheaper. That being said, it might be that Colorado is expensive and there's nothing to be done about it if you want to see this area. Either way, we surely won't be back, due to the cost vs. value. If your pocketbook can take the hit, then you might feel differently. :) Location is FANTASTIC for amenities! Just outside of the busy city, but within minutes to everything you could possibly need. Maybe the best location to amenities we've seen! Hikes are 10-15 minutes away (we enjoyed Red Rock park for morning hikes). Right off the interstate, though, so traffic noise 24/7. Didn't bother our family for sleeping, but we had to be inside with windows closed when I read to the kids (otherwise I'd have given myself a headache trying to talk over the traffic noise). Activities are for younger kids mostly, park too. Restaurant on-site that is supposed to be great, and the prices are affordable. Sites are level, a good size, with picnic tables and fire rings, and navigation in the park was no trouble. They help you to your site, which was nice. :) Roads are pretty beat up in places, landscaping is okay, pool is small, but the people are so friendly and the dog park was great. Had a few packages delivered with no trouble, though I did have to go in to ask if they had arrived (they had). This suited our needs just fine, but I wanted to do a review because, if you're like us and cost vs. value is important, then you may be disappointed like we were. For the price, we expected a nice park. If we came to this area again, we would choose the least expensive park (whatever that is) and just use it as base camp for our stay. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We pulled into the campground without a reservation but were able to get a spot for the night. Office personnel very friendly and helpful and we were escorted to our site. We drive a 45ft MH towing and we were able to get in, around, and out of the park without difficulty. Our site was just barely long enough to keep the car attached but worked out OK. Internal roads and sites gravel/pea stone type of mix. Utilities well placed and worked fine. Sites a bit on the small side but not so much that you feel claustrophobic. Did not use the restrooms or wifi so cannot comment on that. We would return again if in the area. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.
