Second time visiting area. Stayed in Grand Junction last time. Great place. Pull through was plenty long. Side to side space is close but ok considering the $ Good water, power clean, sewer connection had threads for good seal. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We had 3 nights of reservation and called at the last minute to add a 4th night. Their full hook-up sites were all full for our extra night, but they had a W/E site for our first night, the extra night. The owners are wonderful and their staff are friendly, attentive, and care very much about the quality of their resort. We watched ther maintenance guy, stop and pick up trash or dog poop, or pull stray weeds. Monument RV park is clean, well cared for, and has all the amenities you could ask for, showers, laundry, a pool and hot tub, BBQ grill, fast wifi. The location is only a couple of miles from the entrance to the Colorado National Monument and just across the bridge from Fruita. We stayed 4 nights in a motorhome towing a car and when in the area, we will stay here again! We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the second time that we have stayed here. It is a good driving distance from Salt Lake City and close the the Interstate but far enough away to not get the noise. It makes for a good overnight with FHUs. wifi, cable, pull through gravel site easy in and out and interior roads. There is a nice state park across the street with hook ups but with the extra fee to enter it is comparable to this park and We try to avoid the campfires they tend to have plus more kids and pets running around. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were close enough to Grand Junction we could go to a nice restaurant and there are many stores. On previous visit we drove the Colorado Monument drive on the ridge overlooking the area and GJ. It is very close to the river also.

We were going to stay one night, ended up staying 4 nights. The area is great with lots of amenities. People are friendly. The park has trees, spaces are average size, the restrooms are clean. They have a small swimming pool. Across the street is a state park with a playground, river, picnic area, a dinosaur museum. A short drive takes you through Colorado National Monument. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Anything you could want is in Grand Junction which is within 20 minutes of Fruita. The grocery store, City Market, blew my mind. So clean, so easy to navigate and every employee there was so helpful and cheerful. There are many other stores in Grand Junction but the grocery store was my favorite.

The surrounding area is beautiful, the location is great next to restaurants and across the street from the river. I love that they have a small store so I don't have to leave the property for things I forgot and I love their swimming pool and playground for the kids. The employees were all nice and the owners were on the property working so you know they care about their business. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We took Exit 19 off of I-70 and stopped at the Visitor Center and Vietnam Memorial wall. Leaving this rest stop/visitor center takes you through two traffic roundabouts and not more than a few blocks to the campground. The staff was very accommodating. We were given the longest space we've ever had. Our 36' trailer with a 3' hitch and a 20' long truck fit with space left over. Watch out for wasps in June (and probably other months). I noticed a park employee watering the plants and asked him to address the wasp nests in our power pole and he immediately grabbed the wasp-kill spray that was handy on his golf-cart and took care of them. Good park. We stayed two days. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean, well organized park. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access from the Interstate and the internal roads were well laid out for large rigs. Pull thru sites were very long. Location is also excellent; close to restaurants, coffee shops, good grocery stores and a nice museum across the street. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are dozens of wineries nearby (we especially liked Two River's Winery, the wines were very good and the tastings were free). The entrance to Colorado National Monument is within a mile of the park. The Colorado River runs right thru this area and there are multiple places to access the river for kayaking and other water sports. If you like BBQ, drop by Rib City (its only a 1/2 mile away).

Check-in was fast and friendly. Interior road are wide and asphalt while the site are gravel. The sites in the middle of the park are pull thrus and the outer edges are back-ins. Hookups are well placed in the middle of the site. Sites in the middle pull thrus pull in opposite of the next site making your trailer doors to face one another. Personally I like a bit of privacy so next time here I would choose the backin. Laundry facilities have a number of washer and dryers, washes are $1.50 per load, dryers 0.50 for 20 minutes. Restrooms and showers are neat and clean. And free. There is also a small pool and hot tub for guest to enjoy. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Medium size park located across the street from James Robb Colorado River State Park in Fruita CO. We stayed one week here. Very quiet & clean park. Has small pool & hot tub. The owner is very nice & accommodating. Paved roads with gravel sites. FHU were available & the ones on the side had lots of shade trees. Sites were adequate in size, some back ins, some pull throughs. There were several long term residents but most were in the back or sides of park. Pull through sites were mostly transients. There is a lot to do in this area including the CO National Monument. Fruita is a cute little town & is within walking or biking distance from park. Grand Junction is close by & has a cool downtown area. We will definitely return here. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We got the last site for the night. The manager, super nice, told us if we needed extra room for our tow we could park it in front of her camper. The site was spacious and we didn't need to do so. Even though we were by the street, it was quiet. I appreciate their efforts of having a dog park, but it was almost useless. Our mastiff took up most of the gravel space! A very quaint park. We stayed at Monument for one month, as we have family and friends in the area. The park is very convenient from I-70 in Fruita. The park is medium-sized, all gravel sites. The roads are paved, and there is a smallish dog park. The Park is well maintained, and staff is helpful. This Park has many seasonal or full-time residents, but they keep their sites tidy. There is a small pool (closed for the season) and an outdoor hot tub (open year-round). Monument is very close to the Colorado National Monument, local grocery, and several restaurants. We will stay there again on our next trip. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

You'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier staff. The campground itself is very well kept and has very nice amenities such as a camp store and propane refills. I was even able to buy a longer coax cable for our TV. There are multiple restaurants within easy walking distance. This is not a wilderness experience at all, but it is literally across the road from a state park and the Colorado National Monument is only a few miles away. We truly enjoyed our stay at this park. Sites were decently sized and pull through. Staff was very helpful and professional. The park and facilities were very clean and tidy. There was a small dog area. It definitely needed be larger as there is really no where to walk dogs. Fellow campers were all friendly; this park appeared to attract that type of clientele. It was a bit pricey but is very close Colorado Monument so the convenience made it worth it. We would recommend this park and would definitely stay there again. Rate reflects average as we also stayed in one of the cabins while our RV was being repaired in Grand Junction. This was our chores week that turned into two and a half weeks. Monument RV Park is very convenient to services in both Fruita and Grand Junction, CO, which was great for us as we had RV repair, bike repair and doctor visits while staying. It is also close to great hiking and bike trails. It's about 2 hours from Moab and Arches NP. A lot of mountain bikers stayed here. The Owners and staff are so helpful and friendly, also very accommodating as we had to switch midway through our stay to a cabin. They allowed our two dogs to join us in the cabin, which is unusual for a campground and much appreciated. Right across the road, a state park trail goes around a pond and down to the river. Great for dogs! Also, there is a sweet little bike park a block away. We'll definitely return if we are in the area again. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fruita - Rib City is in walking distance and very good. Colorado Backcountry Bikes did a great (cheap) repair for us. The Fruita Bike Park, a block away, is cute and scenic, and has plenty of fun obstacles. McInnes Canyon is within walking distance and has some trailheads down the road (walk south, go over bridge, trailhead on right.) GREAT trails.
