Positives: Friendly staff; close to Glenwood Springs; generally level site. Negatives: Situated directly above freeway - road noise 24/7; shower/restroom located way up the hill near the office; restrooms clean but showing their age; park water has a VERY bad taste - recommend using your own tank or bottled water. Ingress and egress were acceptable (city street round-abouts notwithstanding, which the park can't do anything about), but the park roads are crumbling. The sites are terraced, with very little room to enjoy outdoors at our site, which in reality didn't matter much, as the highway noise was too loud to enjoy outdoors anyway. Our site was mostly level, but in order to set up on the level area, we had to pull far forward of the sewer, requiring an extension. Also, the placement of the sewer was on a little rise - envision a modified Robin Williams sewer line lift from the movie "RV" - to clear our sewer line. Next time through, we will likely find a different park. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Two hot springs pools in the area; amazing bicycle trail; National Forest surrounds the area - hiking trails abound; Colorado River runs through for fishing, kayaking, etc.

This a park in and on the mountains with sites on terraces. With prudent driving the situation is acceptable. The restrooms/showers are at the top of the hill and that may pose difficulties for some. The wifi works on and off, utilities were fine. Easy access to I 70 if the town is not destroying bridges. One question is why the dumpsters have to be emptied at 4:30 am. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Safeway and City Market in town. Restaurants were a mixed-bag. Road work (Aug 17) made exploring what looked like a nice town a pain.

This is a park we will probably not return to. This was the 187th rv park we have been to and only about the third that we have said this. It is unkempt and messy. Noise from the interstate is not too bad but it is there. Sites are dusty and narrow. We don't need luxury by any means but like clean and attended to. Much of this park, however, I think is permanent or long term residents -- lots of them. And obviously no rules as to upkeep. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Our family stayed here for 3 weeks. Beautiful grounds. Very nice neighbors. Dog friendly. It's alot of uphill walking, but great for the glutes! There is a wonderful trail that goes up over the mountains behind the park. I took my 4 year old daughter and siberian husky on this trail almost everyday. If you get up early enough, you will see tons of wildlife grazing in the camp. The river is right below the park and it's gorgeous in early spring, with all the snow melt. If you camp close to office and restrooms, you get great wifi signal. It allowed me to stream netflix for my little girl. It is by the highway, but the noise never bothered us. It is very quiet at night. And dark enough to see all the stars in the beautiful colorado sky. The owner, or manager ( I'm not sure which he is) is very accomodating. And its only 5 minutes from town. We loved our stay here. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Just stayed one night. Several permanent residents/older coaches. Very quiet - close to the highway, but the road noise was minimal. Sites are narrow and not very level; even our auto leveler could not manage to get us level. Staff was friendly. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is located off of Interstate 70 in Glenwood Springs, Co. The office manager was friendly, efficient and led us to our site. Most of the park residents are long term and live in older, run-down trailers. The approach to the park is steep as is the interior roads. The site was level and long enough for my tow. The utilities worked fine. Very few amenities here and the noise from I-70 (200 yds away) was loud. It worked ok for one night or may do well as a base camp for all the activities in the local area. It felt like living in a trailer park. This place will do in a pinch, but would recommend checking out other places if you need more than a place to "crash". We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Park is in a beautifully setting. the tiered sites provide everyone with great views.
However it definitely needs some work. The roads with in the campground are rutted & full of potholes, sites need to be leveled & could be wider.
Site services were easily reached and in good working order. Did not use any on the facilities such as laundry, showers, etc. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

The friendly and conscientious host (owner?) is very welcoming and provides area information as well as escort to your site. Interior roads are steep, rough and pot-holed. Sites are narrow, gravel, level terraced areas cut into the hillside. Mature trees provide shade at many sites. Many units appear to be old and permanent. Electric worked well, water pressure was low but okay, wi-fi was good, AT&T phone and data signals were fairly good in the area. Though we managed to enter and exit without mishap in our 39' fifth wheel the park is iffy for big rigs. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our second stay at this campground. The tiered camp sites are nice but they are narrow and steep grade getting to the site. Water has an unpleasant taste. Make sure to bring your own drinking water. Wifi is only available at the bath house. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

What a little gem! Harken back to RV campgrounds of the 1950's. Shaded camp sites at various levels added privacy. Friendly and helpful office. Great Wi Fi reception. A couple of cautions: (1) It is a bit of a hike up to the office, restroom, and showers. (2) Don't trust your GPS to find Ami's Campground. Call for directions, then it makes sense and is easy to find on Hwy 6. We stayed only one night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

The park could certain use some sprucing up. No place hardly at all to walk pets and the park is VERY steep throughout. Many sites are at very steep angles and obviously an older park, but will accommodate larger rigs. The driveway in is also very steep. That said, probably best bang for the buck in the area, especially for short term. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Lovely park, but very steep with sharp turns. I did see some big rigs manage it but my driving skills wouldn't be up to the task.

Tables at each site were tall with no chairs. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Considering there are few camp options around Glenwood, this facility offers the most for one's money. It was built years ago with a vision by the current owner's dad, back in the day when RV'ers had a Buick and a canned ham trailer, so yes, the sites aren't (and can't be made into) very friendly to today's 100 ft diesel pusher with a boat and a Harley...

It's a campground built years ago on the side of a mountain, pretty remarkable. If your expectations can be lowered some from comparing it to a facility built last year, you will relax and enjoy. As far as location, you are within biking distance to everything Glenwood offers. There are lots of walk/bike trails. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Driving in uphill, the host was very pleasant and happy to make suggestions for Glenwood Springs attractions and for our next nights stop south of here. Parking downhill from the office, all sites are close together with no trees/scrubs between the gravel sites. The terraced layout means that you are not looking in another camper's window. Our pull-through site was level. Most sites are full hook-ups. Traffic noise from I-70 just down the hill can be heard when sitting outside, but is consistent and without annoying rumble-strips. Great campground to explore the area, including the Glenwood Farmers Market and Hot Spring Pool. Good Verizon phone and MiFi connections. We will return. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed two nights, one night on our way to and from the Rocky Mountain National Park. It was handy because it's right along I-70 but because of the terrain the sites are built on several levels. It was tough going up hill all the time to go the restroom and also to walk the dog. The owners were friendly but don't appear to put any money back into the park for improvements. The bathrooms especially needed remodeling. We couldn't get Wi-Fi at our site but I had a very good Verizon signal on my smartphone. We'd probably stay somewhere else if we go through the area again. We camped at Ami's Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
