We have stayed at this campground several times the campground itself doesn't show a lot of amenities they rely on the surrounding area for their. Camping near Denver it's extremely difficult due to the few campgrounds they have in the area. I would stay at this park again only for the fact that it is one of the nicest in the area around the Denver area .they have no clubhouse pool hot tub or playground these you have to pay extra for by leaving the campground and going to the rec center for extra money The people that run the campground do A good job and are very helpful finding you a spot there are only 25 sites so it is a small campground and and all are back in Seit I would stay here again only because it is the best one in the area. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We left a day early because it's a poor CG. This is not an RV park, it is a campground. It is city owned and operated. There are nice trees throughout but everything is poorly laid out and cramped. The roads are paved and the sites are narrow gravel. Maneuvering a 39' Class A into, and out of, the space was difficult. Site O looks like a pull through on the map, but only if you have a short rig. Maneuvering the roads is so tight that orange traffic cones are placed at the RVs that encroach into the roadway. Tent camping is allowed. There's a paved trail for people to use to go to the river with their floats. It passes close to the CG, so there's lots of noise from these floaters, but fortunately it's only during the day. The noise from the nearby highway is louder than expected, but is usually drowned out by the gusting winds. $43/night is over-priced for what you get. There should be imposed limits for RV size for each space. The campsite is narrow gravel with a concrete patio, an anchored picnic table and charcoal BBQ. Typical 20/30/50 electric running at about 110-114 volts. Good quality water at about 60psi. The faucet is on the wrong side of the site, so the water hose needs to pass under the coach. No cable and OTA is typical poor channels but the quality of reception is good. Wifi does not reach this end of the CG very well. Even at the office it cuts in and out. The speed is fair. The laundry is tired looking top loaders; went to laundromat. Did not check showers or restrooms. No pool, but there is the river. The staff are city employees; enough said. No CG sponsored activities. The CG is located within walking distance to downtown Golden. This is a fine CG if you are coming here for tubing down the river in your smaller RV, but it is not a CG for full-timers looking for a peaceful stay; we left a day early because of this. We will something else if we are here again. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Coors tour is worth the wait time. Downtown Golden is close by for dining and tourist shopping, but groceries and other shopping are within a few miles.

Although the sites were a little snug, as is the road, this campground was beautiful. It's right on the water, along with a great walking path. It is close to town, and very quiet. There isn't any grass, so for pets it's a little difficult, but use the path instead. We only stayed one night while travelling through Colorado, but we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is just a great place to stay. It doesn't look luxurious at all very minimal things but the creak is making up for everything.

The people are very nice. Cell reception is great, WiFi is good, super close to beautiful downtown of Golden.

The sites are gravel and patio is paved.

We were able to just get into the creak and have lots of fun.

We would definitely come back! We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown, swim and other river activities in the creak!! Lots of fun.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to site seeing areas, Downtown Golden, Coors Brewery, Colorado Train Museum, etc.

Clear Creek RV Park is all about location. It is located on a stream and has a great concrete walking (biking) trail to downtown Golden, Colorado. The local area is great and offers a lot of outdoor and indoor activities.

Neighbors are near and there are a few larger rigs in the park but beware of low hanging trees and tight spots. We camped here in a 25 foot motorhome and were able to extend our slide but not our awning but we were in one of the smaller sites.

This is a very popular campground so make your reservations early. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to take the Coors tour, go to Lookout Mountain, and take advantage of the other wonderful activities in the area.

Grocery stores are within a short driving distance and the Saturday Farmers Market was a short walk from the RV Park and one of the best we've seen.

Still the great little place it was five years ago. Biking, hiking, whitewater kayaking and more literally next to your campsite. Museums and city park with playground a very short walk away. America's most charming downtown a moderate walk or very short drive away. Tons of other outdoor recreation a short drive away. Spaces are narrow and close together; no one cares because no one spends much time inside their RV here. Not cheap and no one cares about that either; people come here for what Golden, Colorado has to offer and Golden offers quite a lot. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bicycling, hiking, whitewater kayaking, paragliding, museums, dining, Coors brewery, gold panning, more museums -- there are more things to do in Golden, Colorado than I can even remember let alone list here.

Very nice park within the town limits. The sites are really close together but the surrounding area is very nice (creek, walking trails, walk to town). We called the morning of our stay during the week and were able to secure a FHU site. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Despite the negatives we loved being here.

The positives are that the campground is near the heart of Golden and only 20 minutes from the centre of Denver.

Lots of pleasant shading.

Golden is a lovely town with lots happening along the creek front, right outside the campground. Walking distance (10 mins) to historic center.

Negatives, sites are very cramped, good job the neighbours are friendly as in many cases you shake their hand out of your window. Way too popular, difficulty getting a site, so book ahead. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

So many things to do it won't fit in the Tips section.

Free and all literally less than 5 minutes away: Coor's Tours, Town history museum, School of Mining Museum, Astor House Museum, Outdoor history museum. Historic town center.

Lots of good concrete sidewalks and pathways (wheelchair friendly) along the river and into town, linking to many parks and activity areas. Watch the whitewater canoeing. Watch the joggers. Watch out for the joggers too. Watch the hangliders.

So close to the Rockies for scenic drives.

Paid: Railway Museum. American Mountaineering Museum/Center

Excellent municipal campground. It is in the city of Golden, just a ten minute walk from the downtown area. Very friendly staff, nice level sites, 50amp electric throughout (they will loan you a 30amp adapter if you need it) and water at most sites. Sites are fairly close together. Bath house was clean. They have no reservations, but you can call the morning you wish to stay and they will hold a site for you. Great place to stay if visiting the Denver area. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This municipal campground continues to be one of our favorites to visit with our teenage kids. Right on the river where the kids enjoy floating and kayaking and within walking distance to downtown Golden with great dining and drinks opportunities for the adults and kids alike. The campground is relatively small and does not take reservations, so a bit of luck is required to get in on first come first serve basis in the high season. Wifi is excellent, campsites are level, some full hookup, some elec/water only. Only a few tent sites available. Bathrooms are kept clean and even during the weekend Buffalo Bill days festival the city ensured campers privacy by adding security at the entrance to the campground. A great place with the family if you can get in. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely little park. It is run by the city of Golden, so therefore you are limited to a two-week stay. The staff is very friendly and efficient. It is in the middle of town within walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. There is a paved trail running alongside the campground where visitors and locals alike walk, and bike, with kayaker's often seen in Clear Creek. It is adjacent to a large park with a playground, which attracts day users. If you prefer a remote area, this is not for you. We, however, found it charming and very enjoyable. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clear Creek (City of Golden, CO) campground is a very popular campground so call (we were told to call at 8AM) on the day you would like to arrive to see if they have a space for you. Don’t just show up. We walked into Golden and had dinner at the Old Capital Grill (15 min easy walk), but there are other eateries and shops available in downtown Golden. The campground is somewhat crowded, hard gravel and level so our automatic levelers didn’t need support plates. As the Denver-Boulder area had just suffered devastating rains, the park had been emptied and we were one of the first to call/return so we got a nice river site for our two day stay. As they don’t take reservations except for the day of your intended arrival, call ahead and be prepared to learn they’re full. Your summer stay is limited to a max of two weeks. They have a strong Wi-Fi. On the downside one camper along the creek had the back of his rig sprayed with graffiti. Nothing like that happened during our stay. Not all sites are rooftop satellite friendly, but there are enough local TV and radio stations to get with a standard crank up antenna. The staff is city employees – not camp workers and they do a nice job. We would return to this campground if in the area. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

This small city owned campground is a gem. We enjoyed watching all the rafting and tubing activity on Clear Creek. They don't take advance reservations. Call at 7am on the day you plan to arrive and they will let you know if they have a space for you. It was full every night of our 9 night stay. You can stay up to two weeks. It's a great location for everything in Golden, plus the mountain drives, and Denver are just short trips. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small but excellent park. The management is both friendly and helpful. A joy to deal with. The sites are close together but well worth the effort. Clear Creek has a great walking path with easy access to downtown Golden. The park is busy and tough to get into but you will like it once you do. All facilities are clean and well-maintained. We will stay here often! We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
