This is a fairly nice campground, clean, green grass. It is EXPENSIVE and has side-by-side hookups. Most sites seem level, ours was not. Our steps ended about 12 inches from the ground. Most sites had concrete pad, ours was asphalt. Laundry is well equipped, but expensive and one of my dryers didn't get hot enough. We hope to not have to come here again. There are probably lots of people who wouldn't feel as negative as we do. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This place was probably very nice a few years ago but now the roads are in need of repair and WIFI is poor. The cement pads are narrow with many to far off level to be used by a motorhome. Many sites have the sewer hookup on the uphill side and at the very end of the site (I had to use 20' of hose to reach it) making it a little difficult to drain the tanks. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

There are few RV parks in the area that have either full hookups or the ability to handle bigger rigs. This park knows that and you pay for the privilege of staying there. It is very convenient to the area. We were in a site farther back from Colfax Rd and a hill protected us from the I-70 noise. We have 3 dogs and they charge you an extra $3 a day for each dog over 2. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoy the original Golden and check around the area. The county is huge and even though taxes are lower here than where we come from the buildings and landscaping are beautiful and we'll maintained. Loads of outdoor activities, Coors brewery and a railroad museum...plus Lookout Mt.

We stay at this campground frequently as we have family on the north side of Denver, Arvada area. This stay was less satisfactory than previous times. We arrived a day early so had to move to a different site than was reserved. The reserved site was very high at front end so had to park toward back of site. The asphalt pad was uneven and narrow, offering little choice for positioning and when slides were out, bushes were in contact with the coach on the utility side. Contacted office and maintenance came out and trimmed one bush but the other was left untouched. The electric is good, wifi is usable. We have stayed at most other parks in the Denver area over the last ten years and this one is by far the cleanest and best maintained. I believe that I detect a change in management that may signal a decline in the condition of the park. There seem to be some longer term residents who are not living up to park standards. We saw at least one dog roaming free in the early morning. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Major transportation routes are nearby, I-70 about 2 miles east of the park. Located in the Denver metropolitan area with every possible service available.

A very nice park with great location for Golden and Denver. We felt it was a bit overpriced and their cancellation policy is a bit strict. The park is in a very pretty setting with views of the surrounding mountains. The roads inside the park are a bit tight and tiered, so a little difficult getting around in a larger rig. The setup is such that every other rig shares common area, so the grass between us and our neighbors had 2 picnic tables. The weather wasn't great, so we weren't outside, but could be an issue if you wanted privacy. Hookups were all great and satellite reception was no problem. The wifi was very sporadic, so we ended up just using our Verizon hotspot to avoid the frustration of slow internet. We did like the park and would stay again, just seemed a bit expensive. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Wrigley's Bar and Grill up the street was great and within walking distance.

Our site was not level-at all. We had to use our Anderson levelers to get level side to side. Then we had to raise the tongue jack so high that the trailer shook when we walked inside.

Very noisy: street noise, big rigs coming and going, a high pitched vacuum went on most of the afternoon. Sites are very close together; there is zero privacy. Restrooms were adequate, but I never got hot water -only warm.

We were given the Good Sam discount and paid $55 plus a "campers fee" of $8.25. I reqret reserving 2 nights, but there are no refunds.

I would look elsewhere in the future. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The park is very clean, well manicured, and nicely landscaped. The restroom/showers are very nice and very clean. Overall, the park has a lot of visual appeal and is well maintained. The sites are very close together, short and very narrow for big rigs. Our truck had to be parked in a very substandard, muddy parking area away from our site. The site was also not level and had tree stumps that were a tripping hazard. The "dog walk" was more like a dog swamp, very muddy and had standing water. Staff not friendly nor helpful on check-in. We will skip this one if we're ever in the area again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is on the edge of Golden and sits among some busy roads (W. Colfax and I70). Noise is a constant thing, only the level and type changes; cars and motorcycles on Colfax, tractor trailers on I70, and dogs in the doggie daycare across the street. The sites are concrete and most are level. Room between sites varies throughout the park. The showers and restrooms are top notch. The laundry is acceptable, costing about $3 a load to wash and dry. Wi-Fi is iffy. There is a strong signal but is overloaded by the number of connections. Value for this park is low based on the cost. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A very nice campground with friendly and helpful staff. They escorted us to our site to be sure everything was in order when we set up. The campground is well maintained and clean. Good place to be close to many attractions in the area. Other campers were friendly and considerate. Our only negative is that some of the patio areas are not level but the concrete pads are very nice and level. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Friendly staff. Escort to sites. Level sites. Pool is small but very nice. Clean bath/shower rooms. Large, clean laundry ($1.50 washers, dryers $.25 for 15 minutes). We'd stay here again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park on a ridge just outside of Golden. A little tightly packed and the paved sites could use repaving but all in all really nice. If they'd put in the effort to redo their paving I think it'd help a lot. Certainly I'd stay there again though. Verizon and ATT 4G very strong. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Golden 10 minutes away (at most). Big modern shopping area with all the restaurants you could ask for also little more than 5 minutes.

Denver (area) surprisingly, has few RV parks to choose from. This one is good, with the only down side being that it is right on a VERY busy road with plenty of road noise. No cable TV, but antenna will pick up several local stations. Only problem is that they (like other parks) use long term campers for office personnel, and some of them don't know what they are doing. Just be sure when you check in that you are being told everything correctly. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this campground 5 or 6 times over the past years and they continue to deliver a consistently excellent experience if you know what you come here for. This place is not cheap but the facilities are really very good. Very nice pool, spotless bathrooms and laundry facilities, clubhouse facility with lounge and tables and fitness room, free coffee daily and good wifi throughout. The campsites are almost all level and all are paved or concrete. This is not a back country experience but a perfect full service campground especially excellent for big rigs. Many large pull through sites. Don't come here for the countryside camping experience with a family of kids. Do come here for the proximity to lovely Golden and the foothills of the Rockies in a top notch facility. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

I stayed here two nights and will stay here again. Park was conveniently located. People were very friendly and helpful. Service was great. I stayed in a pull thru, and have a 30ft mobile home with a toad. I had full hookups with cable. Everything worked fine. Restrooms and showers were nice. I like to stay in RV parks that are rated 8 or higher. This exceeded my expectations. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures on their web site. This place is run down and badly in need of repair. Our concrete pad was unlevel, cracked, and uneven. It was difficult to level our big rig. Some of the asphalt pads were in the same condition. The roads are worn out and there are many pot holes. Also, the roads are very narrow, making access to the site difficult. There are no level places to connect or disconnect your toad. The grass is dead and brown. A rip-off for fifty dollars a night. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.
