The campground is just OK. There are some sites that are relatively leveled or that you don't need to do much to level your RV, but most of the sites are not leveled and the really bad ones won't be occupied.

There are 2 sides to the park, the right side (viewed from the entranced road) looks newer and sites are good. Most sites have a big size grass area and the pull-throughs will have a shared grass with another RV, so your front steps will be facing another RV's front steps. We had nice neighbors so we didn't mind it, but would prefer not to, not sure why they did it this way. We were here at winter time and can imagine that it can be tight at summer time when both want to open their owning.

They also have back in sites that won't have that problem BUT the park is surrounded by 2 major roads, and there's a lot of traffic, those back-ins get all the noise, but seem to have more privacy.

Do not bother with their wifi :(

And they do no accept mail!!! You need to rent a mail box if you want any mail. Their club house is very nice and pleasant.

Overall we will stay here. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Golden is nice. Also Golden is close to everything: 20-30 min to Denver or Boulder.

Not a great park but satisfactory. Liked the location near Golden. Sites are mostly level. Restrooms were very clean and the toilet and shower areas were very spacious. No cable which was hard to believe for a city location. WiFi was at times pretty good and at times pretty bad. Because of the way they have utilities side by side, you end up in opposite directions from your neighbor and have to share your patio area. Hate that. Morning trash pick up at site was nice but then no opportunity to dispose of trash later in the day as they lock the dumpster. The management and their policies are a little snooty. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Short drive to Lookout Mountain provides great views of Golden and Denver.

This camp ground is built on a hill and the roads are narrow and steep. The campsites are concrete with cracks and most are unlevel. The sites are narrow, and you have to share a patio with your neighbor and his dog.

The staff are not the least bit friendly and act like they are doing you a favor letting you stay. The Wi-Fi never worked while I was there.

This is one of the worst values I have ever experienced at an RV park. I will not return. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is not a good campground for rigs over 40'. The interior roads are paved as are the parking pads-- this is good. Problem though is the pads are very narrow and quite short. They are also very tight. So are some of the interior roads. Our 40' with tow in a pull-through hung off the pad front and rear. When you step out of your coach you are immediately on uneven and, in some cases, a steep slope. Add to this the pads basically share the water post and electric. This is OK but there are two sewer accesses places. We could not reach ours even with two long hoses. The restrooms were just OK, door locks on the stalls broken and they weren't that clean. Trees prevented us from getting satellite but a few sites probably could-- we asked beforehand but they stuck us under a big tree. No cable TV either. All in all we will never stay here again. I cannot recommend a place with such high cost for low quality-- even if you don't have a "big rig". We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sites are very narrow; neighbor's picnic table shares the same strip of grass as the hookups. For $61.00 I would expect to at least get cable and wifi a little faster than dial up. The dog walk area is a drainage swale and a patch of gravel. Dogs are not permitted anywhere else. I don't know of any dogs that will "go" on gravel. No idea where they'd be expected to go in the rain. There are a couple of other, older, smaller, less expensive parks very close by. Try them first. They fill up fast, leaving no choice but to stay here or drive on. I was tired, so I gave in. I'll not do it again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

This probably once was a great park, but it is getting pretty run down. The location is good. The roads within the park have lots of potholes. They do not have cable TV -- an almost unheard of situation these days for an RV park in the middle of a city that is rated by Good Sam's as a "10"!! The folks at registration were not all that friendly. Basically, we were very disappointed. We have kids in Denver now, but we will certainly look for a better alternative next time. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Good shopping nearby.

The only place so they have the market cornered. It makes them very overpriced. The site has grass and a paved pad to park. It's noisy as well since it is close to road. You face another coach and share the grass, but have your own picnic table even if you are close. Guess one could share BBQ, dinner and time together. Very close to Red Rocks which is why we were there, for a concert. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Red Rocks for a concert, Coors for a tour, shopping.

A pricey park to stay in but it is nice. All roads and sites are paved, sites are nicely spaced, several trees scattered around. The place was quiet at night. They didn't have cable TV and we didn't use their wifi. We would stay there again. Staff was friendly. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Well kept older park with friendly and helpful staff. The rates are very high, sites very close together, you walk out your front door to your neighbor with whom you share the patio, no privacy. My site was very unlevel and with air leveling, I had to use blocks to level. If you want to go to Denver, they're pretty much the only game in town. Nice meeting/recreation/gym area. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

The campground is centrally located to the Golden, Lakewood and the Denver area. I studied the reviews before we arrived so I was prepared for worse than what we experienced. Yes, there is some road noise, since it's very close to the interchange of C470 and I-70 on US 40. However, the road noise significantly dies down at night. We had a pull-through across from the pool/clubhouse area, so the "industrial noise" mentioned in many reviews wasn't such a factor. It does exist, however, and is more prominent if you're parked along the east wall of the park. Those spaces are back-in and for smaller rigs, according to someone I spoke to about the noise situation. It's expensive, but it is all about location. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great road biking on the area.

This is a fairly nice campground, clean, green grass. It is EXPENSIVE and has side-by-side hookups. Most sites seem level, ours was not. Our steps ended about 12 inches from the ground. Most sites had concrete pad, ours was asphalt. Laundry is well equipped, but expensive and one of my dryers didn't get hot enough. We hope to not have to come here again. There are probably lots of people who wouldn't feel as negative as we do. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This place was probably very nice a few years ago but now the roads are in need of repair and WIFI is poor. The cement pads are narrow with many to far off level to be used by a motorhome. Many sites have the sewer hookup on the uphill side and at the very end of the site (I had to use 20' of hose to reach it) making it a little difficult to drain the tanks. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not our kind of park for $60 a night. Shared utilities, neighbors picnic table in small shared yard. Sites are as tight as a sardine can. Road are full of pot holes and roughly filled. It's the only game in metro Denver, but it is one we won't play anymore. We won't be back. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the Fast Trac to downtown Denver to see the sights.

There are few RV parks in the area that have either full hookups or the ability to handle bigger rigs. This park knows that and you pay for the privilege of staying there. It is very convenient to the area. We were in a site farther back from Colfax Rd and a hill protected us from the I-70 noise. We have 3 dogs and they charge you an extra $3 a day for each dog over 2. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoy the original Golden and check around the area. The county is huge and even though taxes are lower here than where we come from the buildings and landscaping are beautiful and we'll maintained. Loads of outdoor activities, Coors brewery and a railroad museum...plus Lookout Mt.
