This park has location location location. Proximity to freeways was terrific. However, No cable tv but good antenna reception. Stayed 3 nights and never able to connect to their wifi. Not as tight as some of the reviews. We backed up to a hill and their were a lot of people walking near our site to the hiking trail. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed at Dakota Ridge for a week which included the Labor Day Weekend. The rates go up by $10 per day for Labor Day which I have never approved of. It bothers me that someone charges more, "Just because we can". The park is laid out well and are reasonably level. Blacktop roads and concrete pads are nice and dirt/grass between spaces. Site was barely long enough for 45' MH and tow. Sites are mostly opposing pull through so you share a patio (grass/dirt) with your neighbor which worked out for us as our neighbors were quite enjoyable. Space between coaches on utility sides is sort of tight. There is about 8 to 10 feet between our slides which is acceptable, but does not do much to enhance any view. Park is well maintained, pool, hot tub, which we did not use. Convenient access to I-70 and local shopping. However price seemed high (including Labor Day Surcharge). We would stay here again, but would probably look around more before we booked. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is on a hill with narrow sites and just enough length for a 40 ft and toad. The roads in are asphalt but very narrow, the site is concrete also narrow once you are level your coach there is a big drop from last step to the ground. Grass between the sites is dead. You are buying location here and nothing more, the park has no more charm than a Walmart parking lot, but the hook-ups worked so that is a plus. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

We've heard really good things about this park in the past, so decided to give them a shot as they are one of the only parks in the area. The location is both convenient and a downside. Very convenient to four major highways/roads, but also too close so you pick up quite a bit of road noise. There is also an industrial park adjacent to the park that begins work around 7am each morning. The roads are tight and most of the grass is dying and/or mud. For being a bit hilly (hey, they're in Colorado!) our site was very level. Sewer was quite a ways away, but the hookups seems adequate. We'd stay here again due to the location, but the rate is very, very high for what you get. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

First of all, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the staff and manager for helping us fit into the last, not quite big enough spot. We were booked across the road, on bad advice from the registration person at Thousand Trails. No way we fit! Dakota Ridge bent over backwards to help us out: the manager personally helped guide our 40' motorhome into the site.

I agree with other reviewers on site space and layout. This is a nice place to stay while visiting Denver. Pricey yes, but it is a city campground. We found it very like other campgrounds that are what I call "campmotels." They supply the utilities, you bring the room. Thinking of them as a motel, I can feel positively expansive about the nearness of my neighbor. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park has is centrally located and close to freeways. We had good satellite, but had to put out the traveler rather than the rooftop. ATT excellent. Wifi was good. Sites are close and the park is busy, and there are not many big rig sites so plan ahead. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

As described in previous reviews, location, location, location. This park is so convenient to freeways, shopping, movies, downtown Golden and Denver. Clearly it's banking on that convenience to command the high price. The page of rules and regulations are enough to make even a Washington DC bureaucrat blush. We stayed here about 5 years ago in one of the end sites with a private patio. The grass was greener, patio table looked new, and the office accepted our UPS mail forwarded package without hesitation. It seemed like a very guest friendly, welcoming resort. It was expensive then too, but not nearly what it is today. Because we had such a positive experience the first time, we neglected to read updated reviews of this park on RV Park Reviews. Big mistake. The price has gone up, but the amenities are going down, like they no longer accept UPS or FedEx packages for guests, and the overall appearance isn't what we remembered. Our 2 week visit was in a site with the communal patio area, and we had to disconnect the tow vehicle and park it in front of the motorhome to reach hookups. The grass was dead and the patio tables had seen better days. While our neighbors were very nice, they had a large family BBQ which, through no fault of their own, placed the party right in front of our motorhome. When it came to laundry, the washers were $2.50 and the dryers were $.25 for 4 minutes and they don't even get hot. After what felt like a trip to Las Vegas and a session with a slot machine, we gave up on the dyer and took everything back to the rig still damp. Even the laundry is no bargain here. Sadly, there is so much untapped potential, but you don't get much bang for your buck anymore. It's a mystery why Good Sam rates this park a 10. We won't be back. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here twice in July. The park is very busy and the exceptional staff works hard to keep ahead of the action. For example, we came to Denver for a funeral. Our initial checkout day and the funeral were on the same day. The front desk staff found us another site in the park which allowed us the extra night. We had a long pull through and a deep back in. Both had room for our motor home and toad. The pull throughs are set up nicely with rigs alternating directions keeping utilities out of view. We have stayed here before and will again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

The new ownership of this campground has done a great job improving this place. The sites are slightly narrow for large motorhomes with slides, but we still fit, just closer to neighbors than we usually are. However this campground does not have the ability to expand as it is tucked in to a defined area in a city environment. The location is great as you are close to downtown Golden and have easy access to I-70 if heading into Denver.

The staff was very nice and helpful, the pool and hot tub very clean, bathrooms spotless. You cannot hear the traffic from I-70 even though just off the interstate.

We will definitely stay here again when we come to Denver. Highly recommended!

Price is on the high side but that is expected when in a city. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Coors factory is in Golden and they offer nice free tours.

Also close to Lookout Mountain where the grave for "Buffalo Bill Cody" was buried. Have a great view overlooking Denver and Golden.

Easy to get back on I-70 and go into Denver, where there are many attractions for tourists.

I have tried all the RV parks in the Denver-Longmont area, and Dakota Ridge is one of two worth staying at (if you are in a RV greater than 40 feet), while you visit the Denver area!

Over priced for a small un-level asphalt site, but is was a holiday weekend and there are not a lot of choices in this area. Other than the price, the park is fine. Site was short for our 29 foot 5th wheel and had to park the truck sideways to be off the road. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Short sites, no cable, iffy WiFi. Pool closed because of filter problems. Charged $5 a day/car, and maybe you can find parking somewhere in the park. Very tight driving the 5er in and out. So many rules. Will not stay here again. Will drive to find another before coming here again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with other reviewers that the park is over-priced, but it was convenient to our purpose for being in the Denver area. It is also reasonably close to I-70. Sites are very close together and there are lots of rules. The noise in the park is mostly from your neighbors and not so much from the nearby road. The campground guide encourages you to take a short hike to the top of "Scenic Rock", but the first sign you see on the trail says "Beware of Rattlesnakes." We made the climb anyway and the view was spectacular. The park was full every night that we were here so that tells you something. The service was excellent. Workers were friendly, helpful, and positive. Trash is picked up at your site each morning. We would explore other possibilities on our next stay in Denver. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

So this is a packed park, but very clean and comfotable. Perhaps over priced but we enjoyed the location in relation to our interests. Our low scores come from the fact that we had a water issue with our rig and received repeated flack from the office staff about the fact we found someone to come same day to help us. (He works here all the time.) But it wasn't the ONE Person they approved. The rudeness and phone calls and flack did not help our stress that we were leaking major water and had to repair it. (Not to mention we were leaving the next day.) No work on property....ummm not an option at times. We want to compliment several of the men who work around the grounds as they were exceptionally friendly and helpful; but the office was just downright rude to us. We will not be back. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park, on hilly terrain, but the sites are level. Each site had a small patch of grass and picnic table. There are trees throughout the park, and a nice pool. Water, electric and sewer were all fine. I would certainly return the next time I'm in the area. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
