As described in previous reviews, location, location, location. This park is so convenient to freeways, shopping, movies, downtown Golden and Denver. Clearly it's banking on that convenience to command the high price. The page of rules and regulations are enough to make even a Washington DC bureaucrat blush. We stayed here about 5 years ago in one of the end sites with a private patio. The grass was greener, patio table looked new, and the office accepted our UPS mail forwarded package without hesitation. It seemed like a very guest friendly, welcoming resort. It was expensive then too, but not nearly what it is today. Because we had such a positive experience the first time, we neglected to read updated reviews of this park on RV Park Reviews. Big mistake. The price has gone up, but the amenities are going down, like they no longer accept UPS or FedEx packages for guests, and the overall appearance isn't what we remembered. Our 2 week visit was in a site with the communal patio area, and we had to disconnect the tow vehicle and park it in front of the motorhome to reach hookups. The grass was dead and the patio tables had seen better days. While our neighbors were very nice, they had a large family BBQ which, through no fault of their own, placed the party right in front of our motorhome. When it came to laundry, the washers were $2.50 and the dryers were $.25 for 4 minutes and they don't even get hot. After what felt like a trip to Las Vegas and a session with a slot machine, we gave up on the dyer and took everything back to the rig still damp. Even the laundry is no bargain here. Sadly, there is so much untapped potential, but you don't get much bang for your buck anymore. It's a mystery why Good Sam rates this park a 10. We won't be back. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here twice in July. The park is very busy and the exceptional staff works hard to keep ahead of the action. For example, we came to Denver for a funeral. Our initial checkout day and the funeral were on the same day. The front desk staff found us another site in the park which allowed us the extra night. We had a long pull through and a deep back in. Both had room for our motor home and toad. The pull throughs are set up nicely with rigs alternating directions keeping utilities out of view. We have stayed here before and will again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

The new ownership of this campground has done a great job improving this place. The sites are slightly narrow for large motorhomes with slides, but we still fit, just closer to neighbors than we usually are. However this campground does not have the ability to expand as it is tucked in to a defined area in a city environment. The location is great as you are close to downtown Golden and have easy access to I-70 if heading into Denver.

The staff was very nice and helpful, the pool and hot tub very clean, bathrooms spotless. You cannot hear the traffic from I-70 even though just off the interstate.

We will definitely stay here again when we come to Denver. Highly recommended!

Price is on the high side but that is expected when in a city. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Coors factory is in Golden and they offer nice free tours.

Also close to Lookout Mountain where the grave for "Buffalo Bill Cody" was buried. Have a great view overlooking Denver and Golden.

Easy to get back on I-70 and go into Denver, where there are many attractions for tourists.

I have tried all the RV parks in the Denver-Longmont area, and Dakota Ridge is one of two worth staying at (if you are in a RV greater than 40 feet), while you visit the Denver area!

Over priced for a small un-level asphalt site, but is was a holiday weekend and there are not a lot of choices in this area. Other than the price, the park is fine. Site was short for our 29 foot 5th wheel and had to park the truck sideways to be off the road. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Short sites, no cable, iffy WiFi. Pool closed because of filter problems. Charged $5 a day/car, and maybe you can find parking somewhere in the park. Very tight driving the 5er in and out. So many rules. Will not stay here again. Will drive to find another before coming here again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with other reviewers that the park is over-priced, but it was convenient to our purpose for being in the Denver area. It is also reasonably close to I-70. Sites are very close together and there are lots of rules. The noise in the park is mostly from your neighbors and not so much from the nearby road. The campground guide encourages you to take a short hike to the top of "Scenic Rock", but the first sign you see on the trail says "Beware of Rattlesnakes." We made the climb anyway and the view was spectacular. The park was full every night that we were here so that tells you something. The service was excellent. Workers were friendly, helpful, and positive. Trash is picked up at your site each morning. We would explore other possibilities on our next stay in Denver. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is laid out where you are facing your neighbor. If you want to sit outside, you share the small strip of grass with your new friend. Not something we were crazy about. The pull-through site was just barely long enough for rig and toad, but only if you disconnect your toad. The park was well maintained, but saw several people that didn't pick up after their dogs, a pet peeve of mine. Please be more considerate of others. It's not a pleasant task, I know, but part of being a good neighbor. Good water pressure and no issues with electric. Expensive, but seems everything in CO is! Paved interior roads and concrete parking pad. Picnic table, but they ask that you not use charcoal grills, gas only. Pool/hot tub area still closed for season. Yes we would probably stay here again, because it was close to people we wanted to see. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is corporate owned and really needs some competition. For the price they command, one would think the park would be pristine, but not so much. The roads are in serious need of repaving and the sites are not much better. To their credit, a few of the sites had new concrete. The laundry list of rules was astonishing and not guest friendly. They would not even accept mail so we had to have mail delivered to a friends home in the area. We carry our motorcycle on a lift on the back of our coach, and were told if we take it off, it will be an additional $5.00 per day. Don't even think about having guests visit the park because they charge for the vehicle and each person too! Although it is convenient to highways, seriously not worth the price. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night only 4/21 and I was quite underwhelmed. Sites are tight and I always hated the Jack & Jill sites where you face your neighbor. Naturally they put us facing someone that actually lives in the RV. She was a great lady but we simply had no patio to speak of as our neighbor occupied it. We did have a broken concrete pad that was silly petite. It is exactly as wide as the wheels and right after the concrete ends was wet mud. Not blaming the CG as they had a huge snow event just days before. However for $70 a night maybe they should have poured more generous pads. Office overcharged us as they added $10 for two children and we have no children. They claimed we said we had children which was pure bunk as we simply have never had children period. They wouldn't refund as apparently their "corporate owner" doesn't allow refunds. We camped here in a 43' motorhome and we won't be back. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

The campground is just OK. There are some sites that are relatively leveled or that you don't need to do much to level your RV, but most of the sites are not leveled and the really bad ones won't be occupied.

There are 2 sides to the park, the right side (viewed from the entranced road) looks newer and sites are good. Most sites have a big size grass area and the pull-throughs will have a shared grass with another RV, so your front steps will be facing another RV's front steps. We had nice neighbors so we didn't mind it, but would prefer not to, not sure why they did it this way. We were here at winter time and can imagine that it can be tight at summer time when both want to open their owning.

They also have back in sites that won't have that problem BUT the park is surrounded by 2 major roads, and there's a lot of traffic, those back-ins get all the noise, but seem to have more privacy.

Do not bother with their wifi :(

And they do no accept mail!!! You need to rent a mail box if you want any mail. Their club house is very nice and pleasant.

Overall we will stay here. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Not a great park but satisfactory. Liked the location near Golden. Sites are mostly level. Restrooms were very clean and the toilet and shower areas were very spacious. No cable which was hard to believe for a city location. WiFi was at times pretty good and at times pretty bad. Because of the way they have utilities side by side, you end up in opposite directions from your neighbor and have to share your patio area. Hate that. Morning trash pick up at site was nice but then no opportunity to dispose of trash later in the day as they lock the dumpster. The management and their policies are a little snooty. This camp ground is built on a hill and the roads are narrow and steep. The campsites are concrete with cracks and most are unlevel. The sites are narrow, and you have to share a patio with your neighbor and his dog.

The staff are not the least bit friendly and act like they are doing you a favor letting you stay. The Wi-Fi never worked while I was there.

This is one of the worst values I have ever experienced at an RV park. I will not return. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is not a good campground for rigs over 40'. The interior roads are paved as are the parking pads-- this is good. Problem though is the pads are very narrow and quite short. They are also very tight. So are some of the interior roads. Our 40' with tow in a pull-through hung off the pad front and rear. When you step out of your coach you are immediately on uneven and, in some cases, a steep slope. Add to this the pads basically share the water post and electric. This is OK but there are two sewer accesses places. We could not reach ours even with two long hoses. The restrooms were just OK, door locks on the stalls broken and they weren't that clean. Trees prevented us from getting satellite but a few sites probably could-- we asked beforehand but they stuck us under a big tree. No cable TV either. All in all we will never stay here again. I cannot recommend a place with such high cost for low quality-- even if you don't have a "big rig". We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sites are very narrow; neighbor's picnic table shares the same strip of grass as the hookups. For $61.00 I would expect to at least get cable and wifi a little faster than dial up. The dog walk area is a drainage swale and a patch of gravel. Dogs are not permitted anywhere else. I don't know of any dogs that will "go" on gravel. No idea where they'd be expected to go in the rain. There are a couple of other, older, smaller, less expensive parks very close by. Try them first. They fill up fast, leaving no choice but to stay here or drive on. I was tired, so I gave in. I'll not do it again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.
