Nice park on a ridge just outside of Golden. A little tightly packed and the paved sites could use repaving but all in all really nice. If they'd put in the effort to redo their paving I think it'd help a lot. Certainly I'd stay there again though. Verizon and ATT 4G very strong. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Golden 10 minutes away (at most). Big modern shopping area with all the restaurants you could ask for also little more than 5 minutes.

This park is on the edge of Golden and sits among some busy roads (W. Colfax and I70). Noise is a constant thing, only the level and type changes; cars and motorcycles on Colfax, tractor trailers on I70, and dogs in the doggie daycare across the street. The sites are concrete and most are level. Room between sites varies throughout the park. The showers and restrooms are top notch. The laundry is acceptable, costing about $3 a load to wash and dry. Wi-Fi is iffy. There is a strong signal but is overloaded by the number of connections. Value for this park is low based on the cost. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

The park is very clean, well manicured, and nicely landscaped. The restroom/showers are very nice and very clean. Overall, the park has a lot of visual appeal and is well maintained. The sites are very close together, short and very narrow for big rigs. Our truck had to be parked in a very substandard, muddy parking area away from our site. The site was also not level and had tree stumps that were a tripping hazard. The "dog walk" was more like a dog swamp, very muddy and had standing water. Staff not friendly nor helpful on check-in. We will skip this one if we're ever in the area again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Very nice park. Friendly staff. Escort to sites. Level sites. Pool is small but very nice. Clean bath/shower rooms. Large, clean laundry ($1.50 washers, dryers $.25 for 15 minutes). We'd stay here again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

The ONLY good thing about this park is the location, close to Golden and Denver. There are few options in the area, and the owners at Dakota Ridge know it. For starters, they have a ridiculous reservation policy, requiring a non-refundable half down deposit. Things happen while traveling, so this policy isn't really RVer friendly. The list of disadvantages goes on. There wasn't a really good place to disconnect the toad after we had endured the inefficient check-in. The escort took us to a hard-to-reach "back alley." Although she waited for us to disconnect, I could tell she was getting impatient because we like to be careful and took our time. Then she took us to our site. UGH! It was uphill, narrow, and not level. In addition, the space to hook up the utilities was on a narrow slant. Very dangerous. An accident waiting to happen. No cable TV. The park owners obviously want to cut expenses but not the cost per night. Wifi was terrible. I called to ask about it, thinking I might not be doing the log in/ connection correctly. The clerk told me to try different times when it wasn't so busy. How insulting! I went the next day to the office to let them know I still couldn't connect. The clerk assured me they had sufficient band width but blamed the other campers for being on the wifi. Perhaps more band width might help. I never could connect/stay on in five days. Again, owners cutting costs but not price. The water pressure was low. Then on check-out day, one of the worst possible things imaginable happened. We went to retract our slide, and it stuck. The site was so unlevel the slide was pitched out. My husband had to pull on it while I pushed the button. After repeated attempts, much coaxing and pulling, and lots of tears and fears, it finally came in. He's stronger than I thought. Adrenaline, perhaps? We left via the very narrow in-park roads, vowing never to go back to Dakota Ridge ever again. I'm surprised so many people rate it so highly. Perhaps they have smaller coaches, are inexperienced with not many points of comparisons, or are relatives of owners/managers. Major disappointment for such a terrific area. A very nice campground with friendly and helpful staff. They escorted us to our site to be sure everything was in order when we set up. The campground is well maintained and clean. Good place to be close to many attractions in the area. Other campers were friendly and considerate. Our only negative is that some of the patio areas are not level but the concrete pads are very nice and level. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

We have stayed at this campground 5 or 6 times over the past years and they continue to deliver a consistently excellent experience if you know what you come here for. This place is not cheap but the facilities are really very good. Very nice pool, spotless bathrooms and laundry facilities, clubhouse facility with lounge and tables and fitness room, free coffee daily and good wifi throughout. The campsites are almost all level and all are paved or concrete. This is not a back country experience but a perfect full service campground especially excellent for big rigs. Many large pull through sites. Don't come here for the countryside camping experience with a family of kids. Do come here for the proximity to lovely Golden and the foothills of the Rockies in a top notch facility. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Denver (area) surprisingly, has few RV parks to choose from. This one is good, with the only down side being that it is right on a VERY busy road with plenty of road noise. No cable TV, but antenna will pick up several local stations. Only problem is that they (like other parks) use long term campers for office personnel, and some of them don't know what they are doing. Just be sure when you check in that you are being told everything correctly. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Great site with easy access from Interstate. Roads were a little narrow and sites were close together, but it was a great park. Lots of things to see and do in Golden. Pool was cleanest I have seen. WiFi was in and out. Will stay here anytime I am in this area. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

I don't give very many 10's but this is an excellent park. They'd get a 10 1/2 if they had cable. Antenna pulls in an adequate number of stations. Wi-fi was good most of the time. Power and water pressure acceptable. Sites are paved, wide and the pull-thrus are long enough for big rigs and tow vehicles. Sparkling clean pool (temperature was perfect) and hot tub. Clean bathrooms/showers. Roomy laundromat with very reasonable prices. Lounge area with a pool table and an exercise room. Nice little hill to climb with a picnic area at the top. Extremely nice people in the office. Quiet at night. Convenient to highways (but far enough away to keep noise to a minimum) and to Golden. Two restaurants that you can walk to. Convenience store across the street. Cute little vintage amusement park just down the road ideal for children. Resident bunnies that came around every night to beg for carrots. Your trash is picked up every morning from your site. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.....there are not a lot of other choices in Golden. And, yes, they have a no-refund policy, but it's rare to find a park that doesn't. Park seems to fill up every night, so reservations are strongly recommended. We would definitely stay here again. Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures on their web site. This place is run down and badly in need of repair. Our concrete pad was unlevel, cracked, and uneven. It was difficult to level our big rig. Some of the asphalt pads were in the same condition. The roads are worn out and there are many pot holes. Also, the roads are very narrow, making access to the site difficult. There are no level places to connect or disconnect your toad. The grass is dead and brown. A rip-off for fifty dollars a night. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

I stayed here two nights and will stay here again. Park was conveniently located. People were very friendly and helpful. Service was great. I stayed in a pull thru, and have a 30ft mobile home with a toad. I had full hookups with cable. Everything worked fine. Restrooms and showers were nice. I like to stay in RV parks that are rated 8 or higher. This exceeded my expectations. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

First impressions were great! We had a 10 month-old baby and everyone was so very friendly and nice. Very clean! The location was excellent as well, the trail from the park into the city of Golden was awesome! The downside was no refunds. We were there for two weeks with a third on the books and paid for. My husband's grandmother in FL died and we had to fly home. We made reservations to put the RV in short term storage on the Air Force base. I asked for a refund for the last few days. It was a flat-out, "No." So, we ended up in Florida, at a funeral, still paying Dakota Ridge RV park fees. We will never visit that park again, which is a shame because it really was nice. The only reason I didn't give it a "1" was because they were great on the housekeeping there and it was in a good location. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a really nice nestled in the mountains but also close to freeways, restaurants and shopping. A little pricey but overall a great place to stay. The even pick up your garbage from your site. No other park had that service. Folks are friendly and staff is great. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Nice level concrete pads. Good Wi-Fi and utilities. No cable but the antenna picked up over 30 channels. The people in the office were friendly and they led us to our spot. The roads inside the park are paved but can get tight with a big rig. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
