Stayed two weeks. Awesome staff hooked us up with the spring rate of stay-5-nights-get-2-free. Park is next to fairgrounds; we only heard noise a couple times (announcers, horses, and derby cars). Quiet otherwise; very few kids while we were there. Not a lot of long-term folks. You have to always turn right out of the park and if you want to head back north/west, there's a u-turn intersection just a bit down the road. We were happy here. We're unique; we have a dually truck, 40' fifth wheel, small SUV, 10x10' flat-trailer and two motorcycles. All of this fit well on regular pull thru site (not a deluxe site); we did park truck perpendicular behind 5er. Site was good gravel, not beat into the ground and not so deep it was hard to walk. Outdoor space nice with grassy area, then rocky area with BBQ/fire pit, then patio-paver section. There are mature trees in the park as well as some smaller trees; didn't hinder maneuverability or scrape RV. You're not totally on top of your neighbor, but pretty close IF your rig has slides on BOTH sides (your neighbor's awning will be a few feet from your RV). Only slightly annoying aspect of the site was the decorative fence between each site, and also the trees. It looks nice, and helps it not feel like just a big parking lot...but, our slides were millimeters away from the fence on driver's side so our passenger-side slide wouldn't be in a tree. We were not able to walk around our RV without having to hike over the fence or just walk thru neighbor's site. Also in our row only, your neighbor's hookups are just past the end of your patio area - kind of awkward. Not like that in every row. Appreciated that they let us get a package while here. WiFi was great for surfing websites, social media, email. Multiple bars of AT&T LTE. Staff was constantly working to keep place nice/improvements. Note - grass is watered with ditch-water, staff said not to let pets drink it. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for a month in this park in our motorhome(we got a monthly rate). It is exceptionally clean, all the facilities are immaculate and well maintained. The park is well maintained and parts of it are being renovated. The main sections have already been renovated and are spacious. There is nothing extra fancy in the park, just good care and maintenance on an ongoing basis. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this park as I rarely find restrooms, showers and laundry facilities this clean and well cared for, which takes nothing away from the grounds. The driveways were wide and easy to navigate even for the largest of vehicles & toads. Each site has a fire ring, patio and table. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shopping is close by (less than 1/2 mile). The park is next to the fairgrounds where there is a very large area to walk (you and your pet) and activities are frequent although not intrusive. There is an RV dealer with a a large showroom of RV supplies just west of the park.

This is quite a nice park. Are KOAs getting better, or am I just finding the good ones lately (thanks to this website)? Our standard pullthrough space was spacious and level, with a patio, gravel space for grill and a lush grass area for sitting. My only minor complaint is that the neighbor's water and sewer hookups intruded into the back of my space, but it didn't really bother us. Ample room for slides and awnings on both sides. As usual for KOA, they have activities for kids. Though it is on a major highway, the noise wasn't bad at night. It was very full while we were here, so best have a reservation. Verizon cell and internet worked well. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

We have stayed a number of times at this KOA and we have had good experiences each time. We get the pull through sites that are long enough for the coach and the toad. The sites are level and have a good gravel surface. There Is a picnic table at each site. The WiFi works well. The dog park is not much but they are next door to the fairgrounds where there are lots of places to walk the dog. The people at the front desk are very friendly. We used the pool on this trip and it was very nice. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground is located next to the county fairgrounds, convenient if you want to attend an event there, but something to consider during county fair time. Though we were there on a very busy weekend due to two festivals in town, nights were quiet, which we appreciated. Our pullthru site had decent space for us and our rig, and we were given a site with nice afternoon shade (which we had requested). Folks in the office and working around the campground were friendly and helpful. The only downside was leaving our soap & container in the bathroom, but no one ever turned it in - not the campground's fault, of course. One thing to note: leaving the campground heading west on US 50, it is necessary to turn right and then get into the left lane of the highway right away in order to make a U-turn at the next opportunity. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I really liked this park. We pulled in after the office was closed, and found the after hours check in board to be informative and helpful. The pull through site we were in was very nice. Level, with gravel that was smooth and easy to walk on. Short fences separated the sites, and the site had a decent sized grass patch next to the cement patio, which we always seek out for the dogs. Utilities were fairly well placed, with only the fresh water hookup being a bit odd as it is a few feet over into your neighbors' site, but no big deal, just need a moderate length of hose. We did not use the wifi or facilities, so I cannot comment on those. A park attendant was very pleasant and helpful on the morning of our departure. He filled a propane tank for me and brought it right back to the nose of our trailer on his golf cart, when he could have just as easily said, "here you go", and let me carry it back myself. He also asked if running the sprinklers for a few minutes on the grass area in our site would be any problem; I noticed that he has to go up and down the rows and manually turn on/off the sprinklers for each site. I thought it was not only considerate of him to ask, but also something that you certainly wouldn't see at most parks (a lot of places seem to just run the sprinklers on a timer with no regard for whether the water would be interfering with someone getting ready to leave, etc). I wish I would have asked the man for his name, as he deserves recognition for a job well done in assisting guests. All in all, this park felt really safe, and was a fun place to stay. I enjoyed it enough that I will likely make it a point to pass through Grand Junction again to stay for at least a night on a future trip. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Staff was nice, and attentive. Park was well maintained. Our site was long enough for our 40ft rig, but we had to park our tow on the side. The site was wide enough for both to fit, and fairly level. Our site was gravel, with a fire pit, and picnic table on a paver patio. We did not have a premium site, so we were close to our neighbor.

The only downside was the road noise. We were parked at the rear of the park, and there was a lot of traffic on the road behind us. There was some noise from the airport too. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Great park. Super nice staff. We were having MH mechanical issues, unsure if we needed site for another night. They put our site on hold and just said to tell them by 11A the next morning if we needed it. Spacious level gravel sites with pavers as a patio area and small grass area next to MH. Good heavy layer of gravel with minimal dust. Wide gravel roads for easy navigation. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

So nice to find a spacious, clean KOA. The ones back east are so crowded. This one had room between the units. Quiet park, even though there was a lot of overnighters. We stayed two weeks here to visit the outdoor attractions. Great ownership, helpful staff when checking in and maintenance people were on top of the park constantly. Even the tent sites were neat and tidy. Very good water pressure...WiFi was good most of the time. Bathrooms were spotless. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Quick stopover for the night. Located between the Gunnison & Colorado rivers, it might be a future long visit. Nice wide pull-through site. Good hook-ups. It was a night time check-in. Several RVers were enjoying social gatherings around camp fires. It was a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. We look forward to visiting again soon. One of the best KOAs we've stayed at. Very friendly helpful staff. Gravel roads and level sites mostly with adequate gravel except at entry turn areas of heavy wear. Sites fairly close but with nice paved patio with a separate grass area curb side of the RV. Bathrooms large and very clean with hot water. Nice store and large laundry. A separate dump at the back corner was tight to close up to. Sites variable as to having 30 amp electricity only, while others have 30/50 amp, and whether all had site sewer I don't know. Four nice grassy tent sites. Small playground. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Down town Grand Junction Main street is park like with sculptures, shelters, fountains, shops and restaurants. The 2 lane street curves through the area. Very attractive.

Nearby Grand Mesa and Colorado National Monument are great drives.
