We have stayed a number of times at this KOA and we have had good experiences each time. We get the pull through sites that are long enough for the coach and the toad. The sites are level and have a good gravel surface. There Is a picnic table at each site. The WiFi works well. The dog park is not much but they are next door to the fairgrounds where there are lots of places to walk the dog. The people at the front desk are very friendly. We used the pool on this trip and it was very nice. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground is located next to the county fairgrounds, convenient if you want to attend an event there, but something to consider during county fair time. Though we were there on a very busy weekend due to two festivals in town, nights were quiet, which we appreciated. Our pullthru site had decent space for us and our rig, and we were given a site with nice afternoon shade (which we had requested). Folks in the office and working around the campground were friendly and helpful. The only downside was leaving our soap & container in the bathroom, but no one ever turned it in - not the campground's fault, of course. One thing to note: leaving the campground heading west on US 50, it is necessary to turn right and then get into the left lane of the highway right away in order to make a U-turn at the next opportunity. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

RV washing service available (extra $) - book thru campground
Dairy Queen about 1/2 mile or so to the west, same side of the road (US50) Divided 4-lane highway so can't turn left out of the campground - need to use U-turn lanes

I really liked this park. We pulled in after the office was closed, and found the after hours check in board to be informative and helpful. The pull through site we were in was very nice. Level, with gravel that was smooth and easy to walk on. Short fences separated the sites, and the site had a decent sized grass patch next to the cement patio, which we always seek out for the dogs. Utilities were fairly well placed, with only the fresh water hookup being a bit odd as it is a few feet over into your neighbors' site, but no big deal, just need a moderate length of hose. We did not use the wifi or facilities, so I cannot comment on those. A park attendant was very pleasant and helpful on the morning of our departure. He filled a propane tank for me and brought it right back to the nose of our trailer on his golf cart, when he could have just as easily said, "here you go", and let me carry it back myself. He also asked if running the sprinklers for a few minutes on the grass area in our site would be any problem; I noticed that he has to go up and down the rows and manually turn on/off the sprinklers for each site. I thought it was not only considerate of him to ask, but also something that you certainly wouldn't see at most parks (a lot of places seem to just run the sprinklers on a timer with no regard for whether the water would be interfering with someone getting ready to leave, etc). I wish I would have asked the man for his name, as he deserves recognition for a job well done in assisting guests. All in all, this park felt really safe, and was a fun place to stay. I enjoyed it enough that I will likely make it a point to pass through Grand Junction again to stay for at least a night on a future trip. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park that management maintains well. Well groomed green grass between sites with a nice space between campers. Easy in and out with 65' feet of MH and toad. Super nice office staff and Rocky their Rottweiler dog. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Great park. Super nice staff. We were having MH mechanical issues, unsure if we needed site for another night. They put our site on hold and just said to tell them by 11A the next morning if we needed it. Spacious level gravel sites with pavers as a patio area and small grass area next to MH. Good heavy layer of gravel with minimal dust. Wide gravel roads for easy navigation. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

So nice to find a spacious, clean KOA. The ones back east are so crowded. This one had room between the units. Quiet park, even though there was a lot of overnighters. We stayed two weeks here to visit the outdoor attractions. Great ownership, helpful staff when checking in and maintenance people were on top of the park constantly. Even the tent sites were neat and tidy. Very good water pressure...WiFi was good most of the time. Bathrooms were spotless. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Quick stopover for the night. Located between the Gunnison & Colorado rivers, it might be a future long visit. Nice wide pull-through site. Good hook-ups. It was a night time check-in. Several RVers were enjoying social gatherings around camp fires. It was a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. We look forward to visiting again soon. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Travel Trailer.

One of the best KOAs we've stayed at. Very friendly helpful staff. Gravel roads and level sites mostly with adequate gravel except at entry turn areas of heavy wear. Sites fairly close but with nice paved patio with a separate grass area curb side of the RV. Bathrooms large and very clean with hot water. Nice store and large laundry. A separate dump at the back corner was tight to close up to. Sites variable as to having 30 amp electricity only, while others have 30/50 amp, and whether all had site sewer I don't know. Four nice grassy tent sites. Small playground. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Down town Grand Junction Main street is park like with sculptures, shelters, fountains, shops and restaurants. The 2 lane street curves through the area. Very attractive.

Nearby Grand Mesa and Colorado National Monument are great drives.

Still my favorite Grand Junction RV park, and my first choice when ever I'm in town. See my previous reviews; the only thing that has changed is that they seem to have fixed the Internet problem. It was working during this last stay. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

We were surprised to find such a nice park at a good value for this area. The park is convenient both to explore the city and to see the national monument which is a beautiful drive. Wifi & cable were great and the site was level and well maintained...as was the pool and clean restrooms. Close by is City Market which is an excellent grocery store for provisioning with good parking for our rig. We would definitely use this as our base again. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Towards the city....less than a mile away is an excellent little diner and also a nice family run Mexican restaurant. We liked both of these as a break from the usual chain food. Don't miss the Colorado National monument drive.

One of the nicest KOA we have stayed at. Small, well laid out, very tidy and organized, level gravel sites, nice patios and grassy area, long pull through sites, good cable, nice bathrooms. Roads and access to sites a little tight. Utilities are inconvenient, at back of site and next to neighbor's patio. You'll need extensions if you have big rig with toad. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

It's a very very nice KOA campground, even though it's located between 2 roads and can get loud, you don't hear much of it when you're in your RV. The WiFi is average. The short term spaces are wonderful. They got some pull-throughs with nice green grass between each site as well as some fence for privacy. They also have some back-ins, which end looked like were occupied by long term, they did not have grass. All sites are gravel (which isn't much fun for dogs in general), and they also have what they call deluxe sites that are quite fancy with a nice paved patio that comes with outdoor furniture a fancy grill and fire pit, these sites are very very specious and come with a very big grass area. We were able to run and play with our dog that just loves being on a grass. Some of the sites have mature trees and some not.

We were here for only one night but will definitely come back if in the area. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground. We had a good site but there were a couple of other sites that had we know about we would have selected. These sites were excellent with grassy areas, patios, and grills. The camp was in great shape and there was additional work going on to make improvements in the campground. The campground was clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again in one of the beautiful sites. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This park I think is one of the nicest in Grand Junction. It close to everything yet far enough away to give you privacy. Quiet sites in the rear of the campground are the best. They do have satellite friendly and super luxury sites which we had one of the nicest sites in the campground. The staff was great and very helpful. The luxury sites are pull through and long enough for our 65 foot truck and trailer and car. The owner seems to constantly update this park to make it nicer for guests. We are very happy and will stay here again! It is also a great spot centrally located for all sightseeing which is a must in Grand Junction area! We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
