Sites level from front to back but not side-to-side. Friendly staff. Nice grass at each side. Shaded dog walks of varying sizes but not illuminated. Lots of shade trees but not at every site. Big variety of sites to accommodate every rig size and camping luxury. Pretty far off the main interstate. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The staff was, for the most part, very friendly. The restrooms were extremely clean and well tended (shower stalls were off main restroom). Some shade provided on most sites. Well-stocked camp store. Laundry room was very clean and reasonably priced. Poor pet area (dirt ground only). We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Clean, level, well established typical KOA park. Sites were level, reasonably sized and easy to get in and out of. Limited long term campers made for a "clean" appearance - park is obviously well maintained. Price is average for 3 nights and represents a weekend discount night ($20). We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Really nice KOA with great staff. Good size level sites. The park is well maintained and clean and sites are well spaced. There are a few long term residents but are well kept. There are also some tent camping sites that are really nice (if you are into that sort of thing.) We had a pull Through Site #C9. Water hook up is a little weird - it appears to be in the site next to your site on the other side of a short little fence but it worked out fine for us. The Motor Home next to us didn't have a long enough hose to use his hook up and at first tried to hook up to our water splitter but decided against that options too - thankfully. It is on the highway but we didn't hear any highway noise. Wifi was amazingly good, good cable and OTA TV as well as my Verizon 4G. Only reason it's not a 10 is because like all KOA's - it is pricey. We would stay here again. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

I stayed here three nights in site B2 while passing through with a 27 foot motorhome with tow car. This is a large, busy "holiday" KOA with gravel roads and a selection of different types of gravel sites, some with grass and some with shade. Everything was well-maintained. B2 was a full hookup pull-through with a nice grass area, a shade tree, and a cement patio. There are two pet areas at the end of the park, both shaded, and one has some grass. I used this as a base to visit Grand Mesa and Colorado National Monument. It's not in a particularly scenic part of town but there was a grocery store just up the road and the park was very convenient to the places I wanted to visit. The fairgrounds is next door. Price reflects KOA discount. I didn't use the restrooms or the wifi. Verizon worked well. Electric, power, and sewer hookups were excellent. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Don't miss Grand Mesa -- beautiful hiking, lakes, vistas and 20 degrees cooler than the valley below. The visitor center is an hour from the park assuming you don't stop and take pictures which you will!

This KOA has very spacious roadways and sites. Everything is clean. There are lots of trees, but they are kept trimmed and don't interfere with parking or slides. Friendly and helpful service. Overall Rating:

Over all the park is clean and organized. Staff are frequently seen driving around cleaning fallen branches and watering grassy areas. The park is right next door to the county fair grounds. Nothing was going on while we were there, so the stay was quiet, but I'm sure things would be different during an event. The park has lighting along the roadway at night, however, at the end of the park where we were the lights were not on, so it was pitch black at night. The sites and roadway was all gravel and level for the most part. A majority of the sites had a small grassy area. There weren't any scheduled daytime activities for the kids when we were there but they did show a movie at night. Wifi was to be expected, only strong enough to check email, surf web, etc. Each device needs its own one-time code for access. The codes can be obtained at the office. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice KOA out of town. It is in Orchard Mars on Highway 50. It is quiet, has a nice pool, large spaces, and lots of rock. The only thing we didn't care for was the in and out. Only one driveway, so if an RV is coming in, you have to wait to go out past them. They need another exit for the park. Staff was great, and the laundry room was clean with a number of washers and dryers. We would stay here again. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you do nothing else, be sure to go and see Colorado National Monument. An absolutely beautiful, amazing drive. Takes about 2 hours depending on how many times you stop. Do not take an RV up there, as there are tunnels that will not accommodate any RV of normal size. I think they were about 11 feet high. Not far out of town, so doesn't take a long time to get there.

We were concerned since we hadn't stayed here before and needed to stay two weeks. This was an exceptional KOA (in our experience). Nice sized sites with several shade trees and nice landscaping -- there are also cabins and tent sites available. We had a pull-thru, FHU site near the back, so the pool and highway noise were not an issue. Everything was so well-maintained and clean. But what made it really special were the staff members. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice pool. Clean bathrooms and showers. Very nice playground, mini golf course. They show a kids movie every night at an outdoor theater. Good shade trees throughout the park. Right off the freeway, so it was a bit noisy, but the park is nice and being close to the freeway made it a good, easy overnight stop. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.
