This KOA has very spacious roadways and sites. Everything is clean. There are lots of trees, but they are kept trimmed and don't interfere with parking or slides. Friendly and helpful service. This was our second stay and we would definitely return. Only con: Pricey! We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

I stayed here three nights in site B2 while passing through with a 27 foot motorhome with tow car. This is a large, busy "holiday" KOA with gravel roads and a selection of different types of gravel sites, some with grass and some with shade. Everything was well-maintained. B2 was a full hookup pull-through with a nice grass area, a shade tree, and a cement patio. There are two pet areas at the end of the park, both shaded, and one has some grass. I used this as a base to visit Grand Mesa and Colorado National Monument. It's not in a particularly scenic part of town but there was a grocery store just up the road and the park was very convenient to the places I wanted to visit. The fairgrounds is next door. Price reflects KOA discount. I didn't use the restrooms or the wifi. Verizon worked well. Electric, power, and sewer hookups were excellent. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Don't miss Grand Mesa -- beautiful hiking, lakes, vistas and 20 degrees cooler than the valley below. The visitor center is an hour from the park assuming you don't stop and take pictures which you will!

This is a very nice KOA out of town. It is in Orchard Mars on Highway 50. It is quiet, has a nice pool, large spaces, and lots of rock. The only thing we didn't care for was the in and out. Only one driveway, so if an RV is coming in, you have to wait to go out past them. They need another exit for the park. Staff was great, and the laundry room was clean with a number of washers and dryers. We would stay here again. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you do nothing else, be sure to go and see Colorado National Monument. An absolutely beautiful, amazing drive. Takes about 2 hours depending on how many times you stop. Do not take an RV up there, as there are tunnels that will not accommodate any RV of normal size. I think they were about 11 feet high. Not far out of town, so doesn't take a long time to get there.

Over all the park is clean and organized. Staff are frequently seen driving around cleaning fallen branches and watering grassy areas. The park is right next door to the county fair grounds. Nothing was going on while we were there so the stay was quite but I'm sure things would be different during and event. The park has lighting along the roadway at night however at the end of the park where we were the lights were not on so it was pitch black at night. The sites and roadway was all gravel and level for the most part. A majority of the sites had a small grassy area. There weren't any scheduled daytime activities for the kids when we were there but they did show a movie at night. Wifi was to be expected, only strong enough to check email, surf web, etc. Each device needs its own one-time code for access. The codes can be obtained at the office. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean, quiet and safe with amazing staff. The wind was blowing hard and leaves and branches were were landing fast but the staff just kept working and cleaning it all up so the place would look nice and would be easy to navigate. check in was very friendly and i was assigned a giant site with a dedicated parking spot on one side, a pull through for my trailer on the other and a nice, concrete patio with picnic table and bbq in the center. there were utilities in the trailer spot and the vehicle parking spot, as well. Very family friendly with mini golf and a pool and fun mini atvs for the kiddos. i don't go out of my way to camp near kids but the ones here were quiet and well behaved and clearly having fun. it's right next door to the fairgrounds and a short drive to downtown. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice pool. Clean bathrooms and showers. Very nice playground, mini golf course. They show a kids movie every night at an outdoor theater. Good shade trees throughout the park. Right off the freeway, so it was a bit noisy, but the park is nice and being close to the freeway made it a good, easy overnight stop. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

We were concerned since we hadn't stayed here before and needed to stay two weeks. This was an exceptional KOA (in our experience). Nice sized sites with several shade trees and nice landscaping -- there are also cabins and tent sites available. We had a pull-thru, FHU site near the back, so the pool and highway noise were not an issue. Everything was so well-maintained and clean. But what made it really special were the staff members. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed two weeks. Awesome staff hooked us up with the spring rate of stay-5-nights-get-2-free. Park is next to fairgrounds; we only heard noise a couple times (announcers, horses, and derby cars). Quiet otherwise; very few kids while we were there. Not a lot of long-term folks. You have to always turn right out of the park and if you want to head back north/west, there's a u-turn intersection just a bit down the road. We were happy here. We're unique; we have a dually truck, 40' fifth wheel, small SUV, 10x10' flat-trailer and two motorcycles. All of this fit well on regular pull thru site (not a deluxe site); we did park truck perpendicular behind 5er. Site was good gravel, not beat into the ground and not so deep it was hard to walk. Outdoor space nice with grassy area, then rocky area with BBQ/fire pit, then patio-paver section. There are mature trees in the park as well as some smaller trees; didn't hinder maneuverability or scrape RV. You're not totally on top of your neighbor, but pretty close IF your rig has slides on BOTH sides (your neighbor's awning will be a few feet from your RV). Only slightly annoying aspect of the site was the decorative fence between each site, and also the trees. It looks nice, and helps it not feel like just a big parking lot...but, our slides were millimeters away from the fence on driver's side so our passenger-side slide wouldn't be in a tree. We were not able to walk around our RV without having to hike over the fence or just walk thru neighbor's site. Also in our row only, your neighbor's hookups are just past the end of your patio area - kind of awkward. Not like that in every row. Appreciated that they let us get a package while here. WiFi was great for surfing websites, social media, email. Multiple bars of AT&T LTE. Staff was constantly working to keep place nice/improvements. Note - grass is watered with ditch-water, staff said not to let pets drink it. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Our second time to this RV park. We think it's one of the nicest KOAs. Staff is super friendly. Registration queue can get a little congested but staff is very quick with the check in. A small store with limited supplies. Restrooms were clean and modern. Roads were easy to navigate. Roads and sites are thick gravel. Very attractive and well maintained park. Sites are spaced nicely. Some grass. Some sites have a grill, fire pit, patio and patio furniture. We had a deluxe site, C-11, that we felt was worth the price. We think it's the nicest site in the park, an end spot with all the things mentioned above plus a six foot privacy fence and lots of grass. Two fenced pet areas. Utilities worked great. You may need extensions depending on how you park and whether you want to keep your tow hooked up. The power and water are awkwardly placed in your neighbor's patio area. WiFi was very good. Lots of cable channels. Some noise from the fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday night. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.
