Well-managed park, very popular and rightly so. The only problem is the location. It is an industrial area and the truck traffic is huge. And being near the front of the property, I was also subject to heavy park traffic as well, not just patrons but the maintenance people in their golf carts. The gravel is thick and very noisy. If I stay her again I will try for a site in the back. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good check in, level sites, WIFI very Good, Cable Good. Excellent for travelers like us. 2 things only to note: Trash is located at one end of park and quite a walk from our site. Shower heads were at about 5' 6". I stand 6' 4". Thats a bit a problem. Suggest they instand handhelds. Will stay here again! We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects monthly rate. Grand Junction has gotten to be an expensive town. This park is no worse than the others; everyone in this town is way too expensive. You will never find nicer and more helpful staff in any RV park in the country. I see noise complaints from other reviewers but frankly, this park is quieter than most if not all of the others in town. Far enough from the freeway & major highways that you don't hear them. The only drawback is the electricity. I and one other tenant were severely overcharged. If you're a monthly be sure to read your meter yourself when you move in. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Campground is a graveled lot in a commercial neighborhood. It is located near I-70 and Route 50 for easy access. After check in, we were guided to our site which was very clean. FHUs are available along with a picnic table. Good satellite availability for those with a satellite dish. Good cell service is available. The laundry room is the cleanest we have ever seen, the machines are cleaned daily. This is a very well run RV park. The owner is always available to take care of any concerns. The service provided by the staff is top-notch. We stayed for 10 days. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I read some of the other reviews of this campground. I don't know where they were parked but it certainly wasn't our experience. Very friendly staff, escorted to site. We're driving a 45' motorhome, towing, and we were guided in to accommodate our rig and toad. Roads and site are large pebble as opposed to gravel. All resources worked well. The width of the roadway made parking a big rig easy! We will definitely return! We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

We called for a reservation while on the road and needed a space for only overnight. We said we did not want/need cable but were told we would have to pay for it anyway. We asked for the combination for the bathrooms as we wanted hot showers. We were told they were not available as they had been painted. Had we been told rest rooms were not available we would have stayed elsewhere. We felt out total charge of $46.81 for a less than 12 hour stay was excessive. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mari Garland, owner at Junction West RV Park responded to this review

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you were frustrated that the showers were closed overnight on July 12. This year we have had our lowest occupancy on Monday and Tuesday nights. We were painting the second half of the floor on the night you arrived. To take care of our guests who did not have bathroom facilities of their own, we opened one of the cabins to make the bathroom and shower available to guests. We had tried creating a path to half of the showers and toilets on Monday night when we painted the first half of the bathrooms, but someone allowed their dog to walk and poop on the fresh paint during the night. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We have some sites available that do not have cable that are $3 less per night and back in sites that would fit your RV when disconnected for $7 less per night, but those sites were all reserved when you called us at 4:00 on the day of arrival. Surprisingly we ended up with 4 RVs in overflow as well on that night.

Booked by phone for space for 45' motorhome with tow car. Park does not realistically accommodate big rigs. RVs were packed in so tightly that there was hardly room to get in or out. During the night, more RVs had parked directly in front of us which made it difficult to even drive out of our site. Their main interest was in getting as many RVs into the park as possible. We will not be staying here again. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

I am sorry you had a hard time pulling out of your site due to the overflow flow site being used. We have a range of sites to accommodate different sizes of RVs. A 45' motorhome would have been placed in one of our teens row or 30s row sites which are 35' wide and range from 55' to 75' long. We have several overflow sites around the central lawn that we use when our regular sites are all full, other parks in the area are full and travelers need to get off the road. I am sorry you had a hard time pulling out of your site due to the overflow flow site being used. The roadway in that area is over 45' wide which usually provides more than ample room to maneuver very large RVs, even with 20' or 30' trailers attached. Our main interest is providing a safe, comfortable place for people to stay while enjoying the many local attractions of the Grand Junction area. Most people find our double wide sites are some of the most generously sized sites they have encountered.

Sites allowed a little more room side to side than the last space. Gravel roads and sites, need more gravel in sites. Located in an industrial area outside of town but close to Colorado NM and Gateway Canyon. Beautiful drives. No table. Barely enough room for 37' coach, our sm car had to be parked parallel to coach with little room to open doors. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

I am sorry you felt crowded in our double wide (35') sites. I suspect you were in our 20s row which accommodate RVs up to 40' in length. We have a range of site types available to accommodate different sizes of RVs. If you request a Deluxe Pull-through with Cable site next time you visit, you would have 55' to 75' feet of length as well as the 35' of width to give you more room on your site. We have picnic tables available for every site, so I am sorry you did not have a table when you arrived. We did remove tables from many sites during the winter while the sites were used for storage (many storage RVs were not picked up until April 30th just a few days before your stay on May 2nd), so perhaps we hadn't put one back on your site yet. If this should happen in the future, please let our staff know and they would be happy to bring the table right away. We groom and add gravel to the roads & sites each year, but we hadn't done so for 2017 prior to your stay.

Overall Rating:

My wife and I have traveled 45k miles through 41 states in the past nine years and we have never encountered finer Customer Service than we received at Junction West RV Park.

Due to a family emergency, we had been forced to cancel most of our previously planned summer space reservations and were without a confirmed reservation for Labor Day.

While traveling north through Denver in route to Montana, my wife decided to called JW RV Park to see if they had anything available for the Labor Day weekend that would tie into a confirmed September reservation we had retained at the Grand Junction KOA. To our good fortune, Lisa answered the phone and informed my wife the park was booked full, but they had just had a cancellation and she told us to 'come on', they had a space for us. Upon arrival we were guided to our space and assisted with parking.

The park has a great view of the Grand Mesa to the west and we've seen many wonderful sunrises and sunsets during our stay.

JW has some of the largest (70 ' x 40') pull-throughs we have ever encountered with rail fence dividers between each space and nice picnic tables. The surface is gravel, but has very little dust issues due to the type of gravel used. The streets within the park are 33' wide, so there no issues for larger coaches towing. Utility connections are handy, but you will need a long coaxial cable if you require cable. The water pressure was a bit lower than we usually encounter, but nothing of concern. JW is located near I-70, but excessive noise is not an issue. There's a Love's on the access road if you require fuel and the park is located ~4 miles from numerous restaurants and grocery markets.

The Maintenance Staff is continually roaming the park conducting routine checks, up keep and improvements, but are prompt to deal with any issue you encounter during your stay.

The Owners & Staff are top notch. Great park.

Rate based on daily, weekly & monthly during our stay. Daily =$43 w/GS. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Premium site with CTV. Pull thru with plenty of room to park the tow vehicle. Gravel with a fence and picnic table. Not far from the freeway but noise not a problem. Staff friendly and helpful.
