This is our 2nd visit and absolutely love this campground. The hosts, Roberta & Carl, are wonderful ! The campground is paved, the sites are level and landscaped, with picnic table, grill and trash can right at your site. We are able to use the casino facilities such as the laundry, restrooms , gym and the FANTASTIC pool. The price reflects PA, but if you get 300 points a day at the casino, you win a free night, which we did! You are close enough to Durango to enjoy, but away from the city & noise. The only downfall is there is no cable TV and the wifi is slow at times...we heard they are doing some renovations to the campground in November, so maybe those issues will be addressed. All in all, this is one of our favorite campgrounds and we plan to be back. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need a chiropractor while here, Dr Garcia is wonderful and about 5 minutes from campground - his prices are very reasonable too. The grocery store in town is great, no need to run into Durango. Also if you want a great lunch, try KD's Cafe right beside the grocery store...the owners are so friendly. This little town has a lot to offer. The ride to Silverton, both on train & drive, is beautiful. If you want a fantastic meal in Durango, try Ken & Sue's.

Rate reflects Passport America. What a nice little RV park if you are in this area. The sites are on a concrete pad with a side spot to park your car, and a little grill on each site. The campground host(s) are wonderful, very friendly & helpful. She showed us around the casino, helped us get our players' cards, showed us the laundry facilities, etc. (all in the casino but available to RV folks as well). We will definitely stay here again when in the area, although it is about 12-15 miles outside Durango, CO. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice and quiet. Laundry, showers, and pool shared with hotel. Short walk from park to casino/pool area. Paved roads and sites. Only 23 sites available so reservations should be made before arrival. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Thirty minutes from Durango. It is a great town for walking, shopping, and bar hopping. The Durango-Silverton scenic railroad is a great tour. Suggest taking the train to Silverton and the bus back. This park is about an hour from Mesa Verde National Park to the west and Pagosa Springs to the east.

I had a nice site on a concrete pad. We used blocks to get level. The wifi was fast. The camp host gave us a tour of the casino. She even helped us get our players cards. We visited Chimmey Rock National Monument during our stay. The inside pool at the casino was warm. I would stay here again. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

I agree with the other comment's about the large clean sites. We were assigned a spot in the last row farthest from the Casino and our WiFi was strong. The only thing they could do better would be to add cable.

The host was top notch. You could tell she loved her job. Walked use around the place showing everything, and explaining it all in detail.

Price reflects Passport America. If you play they will comp all but the first night.

Will return next time in the area. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

We pulled into Sky Ute late in the day and promptly drove into the service entrance with no way out but to back out. Unfortunately we were pulling a toad with surge brakes so we couldn't back out. To top that off the handle lever on the door of our MH broke so we were trapped inside except for the emergency windows. This is why I gave this resort a perfect rating.

1. The camp hosts Roberta and Carl. This couple was there immediately for us to help us out of our predicament. They checked us in and once we were able to get to our site they offered to give us a tour of the facilities, which they did once we were able to get out the door.

2. Casino Security. They were there to help me disconnect the tow dolly and move it out of the way once I climbed out of the MH. They also stayed with us until I was able to back the MH out and get to our site.

3. The Sky Ute Casino. This place is beautiful. It has a large circular Jacuzzi pool with a lap track and wading pool and a spa pool next to it. There is a giant mural on the wall surrounding the pool with pictures of Native Americans on horseback. I am assuming Ute Indians. The casino/hotel is beautiful and has a large gaming area surrounded by 5 restaurants and or cafes. We ate at the Rolling Thunder Bar & Grill and the meals were superb.

I can't say enough about our camp hosts Carl and Roberta. They were very active with all their guests and treated us like royalty. We will definitely go back for the views, the accommodations, and especially for the company. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nicely spaced paved sites with cement patio, wide streets, easy access to utilities. Strong water pressure, very good WiFi, with good Verizon 4G signal. Sewer connections were very tall. Nice plantings around park with nice dog walking and cement sidewalks for daily walks all around park and casino grounds. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent WiFi if you get one of the spots closer to the casino itself: 3mbytes, which was fastest we had in three months. Free Continental breakfast was a nice touch, and could 'upgrade' meal for a reasonable amount money. Great access to their indoor pool, showers, laundry. If you get their players card and play a certain amount you get one night free for each night stayed. Will stay here instead of going to Durango in future. Restaurant had good specials almost everyday. Short drive to Durango and area attractions. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

As reviewed by others, reservations are handled at the hotel desk and we called ahead. There is a Good Sam discount, and there is a free continental breakfast. WiFi is a bit marginal, but both AT&T and Verizon mifi's will work fine. Asphalt roads and sites are designed to park your vehicle easily next to your RV with nice picnic tables, no trees. You get key-card access to the indoor pools, workout room, laundry, and guest shower area as part of your reservation. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Easily worth the money. Nice layout, fairly new looking facility. Registration is inside casino/motel at registration desk and they are not at all in tune with RV's. There are no discounts for GS, FMCA etc. We were there on last day of the month and could only stay one night because they were scheduled to turn off water in 2/3 of park on Nov 1 and only leave one line of sites active for the winter. Those sites were full, so there was no place for us to stay another night. When asked if dry camping was permitted we were told no, those spots were closed for the season and we couldn't stay. Buffet inside was sparse and poorly refilled. If I happened thru here again I'd probably keep on driving. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

I gave it a 9 only because there is no shade but this is a Class A facility. Neat and clean. Short walk to the loveliest indoor pool and hot tub we've ever seen. Free breakfast in the casino every morning. Oh yes, and we made enough from the slots to pay for one night of camping. The casino is well kept too and doesn't reek of smoke. All the employees are friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for over 6 weeks last summer/fall and loved it. They have since had a big management shakeup due to tough economic times, reduced some services, and raised their rates. The rate reflects a 10% Good Sam discount. Just last fall we were able to negotiate $20/night since we stayed for a long period, however, they no longer do this. They also no longer offer the complimentary continental breakfast to RV guests. We were not greeted with the same friendly staff, and we noticed the overall decline in services everywhere we go around the casino. They have also done nothing to improve the Wi-Fi in the RV Park. It only works in the first row of sites (about 30% of the total sites), yet they sure advertise it. I used to rave about this place, now its just so-so. The workout room and pool are still nice, though it is a bit out of the way. Verizon wireless phone is one bar or less, and Verizon internet works but is marginal and relatively slow. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The other reviews are accurate, but this is a typical casino RV park. Asphalt sites with river rock spaces in between. In 10 years the trees will be big enough for shade. There are some surrounding grass areas to walk the pets. The casino has all the usual amenities. The price is very good however. The park is close to the road, but the noise is not excessive. The hotel and casino is new, but small. For the gamblers there are lots of penny and nickel slots, but the crap table didn't open until 4 PM. There was a small poker room. I would stay here again. Just about the only thing this place is missing is shade trees, and those are planted. Give 'em time to grow. And a dog run would be gravy, too. But boy did we find this to be a very nice port in a storm. We had been driving too long (our two other places we were going to stay didn't work out, so we had to keep driving), and we had been on a run of state parks. We needed civilization and the Internet. This place offered Wi-Fi (stay close to the building if you need it), laundry, very tidy and well-spaced sites, a wonderful lazy-river-type swimming pool and hot tub with towels (no wet towels to hang in your rig!), a variety of restaurants, and a fitness center. We used and enjoyed all of these things. There was also a large bowling alley and miniature golf course that we didn't use. Looked like the kids were having a blast, though. Rate is $25, but $22.50 with Good Sam. A deal around Durango, where other sites are $35 and up and where many places are closed during the winter/spring. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.
