Jul 2016 - $38.00
So sorry about this place. We stayed here many years ago and it was nice. Now mostly long term people with permanent things added to their sites. No one seems to pick up after their dogs. Parking was very crowded...had to unhook to even go to site. Office staff was very friendly. - travel2011
Jan 2016 - $18.00
The park has power issues (very low voltage on one leg) which prevented the use of standard RV Surge protectors and low water pressure making showers a bit of a challenge.
RV Spaces are *very* tight. I had a family of HEAVY smokers next door that churned out more smoke than a Semi-Truck. With the trailers packed so close you get all the odors from your neighbor. Naturally they felt no reason to accomodate any nonsmoker requests. Had to resort to a filter mask. Due to tempuratures I was not able to use fans to clear out the RV air.
I was planning to stay through March, but ended up leaving after the first month. - WillD
May 2015 - $32.00
We stayed in space where we had more room between our units as ours was older unit. Newer units with slides and awnings will find it more challenging. Laundry facilities are taxing the drain system and overflow the drains, yet no warning signs are placed out. When office closes, not always as hours posted, no one will answer telephone until voicemail is listened to the following day, unless Sunday. Read all park posted signs pertaining to video taping and supposed rules, it may make your stay "easier?".
Sites are "graveled" still have drainage issues. - Traveler25

Cons-In need of a facelift Old & unmaintained. No place for dogs, defunct mini golf course (if you want to call it that) no wifi, no cable or internet hook ups, no place for parking, majority permanent residents Pros- Great cell reception, cheap, shopping nearby, friendly residents. - Lostnsummr
Jun 2012 - $19.00
Friendly owners which are very laid back. This is not your normal run RV Park. But I will stay here when ever we are in the area. Park could be greatly improved by making the permanent residents clean up around their sites. The Park has great access to the surrounding area. - From the Kites
Jan 2012 - $25.00
This is more like a trailer park the a campground. This place is more then half full of permanent trailers. It is looking run down and old. The whole place needs a face lift. There are nice people living there but a lot of junk laying around. - dozerdog

Sep 2017 - $50.00
Nicely kept park but the spaces are very close together. Bathrooms were very nice but a code was needed to use them and wasn't given at check-in, you had to ask. Wifi was horrible and we had no tv reception. The most disappointing thing for us was that there were no campfires allowed and no space to have them if they were allowed. Very convenient to area shops and restaurants and easy route to the mountains. - pkdrummer
Sep 2017 - $52.00
We noted some of the negative comments of others, but found them tolerable. This is obviously an older park built before the days of big rigs. Although a bit congested, we had enough room in an end row site. The staff was super in getting us into our site safely and easily and we decided to stay over an extra day. The park is conveniently located off Interstate 25 and State Highway 34 with shopping close by and lots of things to do and places to go in the area. All in all, the park was nearly full the two times we stayed there -- which says a lot about the facility. - Gene Hain
Sep 2017 - $50.00
This campground is conveniently located off of Rt 25 in Loveland. All the sites are shaded by tall mature trees. There is a playground, pool, mini golf and dog run. Restrooms are clean. Showers are nice. The back grassy areas of the park are occupied by seasonal campers. The front gravel areas (with no grass) are used for nightly campers. These sites are slightly small and arranged in a staggered parking pattern where the passenger (door) sides of RVs are facing each other. The only way to arrange your picnic tables is to position them side-by-side with your neighbor, which doesn't allow much privacy. Unfortunately that means that the 2nd RV to each pair of sites usually ends up with no private eating area because the 1st RV gets the optimum table between the 2 rigs. We didn't like this too much. There is also a lot of road noise from Rt 25 and Rt 34. We probably would pick another campground next time even though the facility is clean, convenient and the staff is friendly. - EVO_Bob

Oct 2017 - $24.00
The park has both good and bad qualities. The proximity to the lake is fantastic, and there is a lot to do. Sites are big and you are relatively far from other campers. You can have a motor home and two vehicles, or a motor home, tent, and one vehicle. The bad qualities are largely what you get for the price. They only offer electric hookups, with plumbed toilets (bring your own soap for hand washing) and showers nearby (showers will cost you some quarters as they are not included in the price). You also have to pay to get into the state park ($8 or so per day). There is no store and they do not sell firewood. With that said, I would stay here again because of the views and access to the path that goes along the lake. Just get ready to spend some money. - OffroadGirl
Sep 2017 - $32.00
We spent 2 nights here as we were traveling through. The location worked well for us to visit friends and relatives. Fortunately they have 50 amp here as we had to run AC because of heat and campfires nearby. It worked out that we took a day to visit Rocky Mt. Nat'l Pk. Sites are asphalt and curved and not long enough for MH and toad to stay attached. Electric was fine; no sewer or water, restrooms and dump station nearby, many channels on broadcast tv, no wifi. Price high for limited utilities/ camping & daily fee, but typical of Co.state parks. - JAWS
Sep 2017 - $24.00
We have been to Boyd Lake several times. The last time we were here was 2016 and not much has changed. Still a good campground for the money and the proximity to the lake for boating is great! Not much to add as previously stated. Out site was level, good power and clean. We do use our patio mat to keep the gravel out as the sites are asphalt with gravel. - colochoclab

May 2009 - $20.00
This is a small RV park (about the size of a backyard) at 917 31st Ave in Greeley. There is no sign, but it's down a driveway behind an auto repair shop and apartment at this address. Water pressure is quite low, so had to hand fill the water tanks and use the internal pump. Of all the campgrounds I have stayed at this had the filthiest rest room (there is one coed rest room- when checking in was told to knock before using restroom) Owner only comes down on weekends, but you can mail a check or pay on the weekend. Although absentee management you are given a business card in case of problems or questions, and he is quick to return calls. I learned to leave my screen door shut, otherwise one of the many friendly cats in the RV park will invite itself in your RV! - Traveling man

Apr 2018 - $28.00
Review is for the electricity only sites; these sites have paved road access and large, level concrete pads for parking. Some are pull-through and some back-in. Picnic table and shelter are on a large, level gravel pad. Pick your site carefully. We were a group of 3 RVs with sites 38, 39, and 40. These were chosen because they were right on one of the ponds, with unobstructed views. As it turns out, there are a lot of fishermen and they have full access to the shore - even in your campsite. This includes use of your picnic table and shelter unless you happen to be occupying it. It may not bother some, but having someone smoking and carrying on a loud conversation in my reserved spot was annoying and detracted from our enjoyment of the park. Other than that, kudos to the park staff and hosts for keeping the park spotless! - ME for Maine
Mar 2018 - $30.00
We stayed for a week while visiting family in the Denver area. The park ended up being much more expensive because in additional to the nitely rate we had to pay either for a yearly state park pass or a daily rate of $7 for a vehicle pass. The campground provided a beautiful view of the mountains and foothills and despite the closeness to I-25 it was quiet. It was nice to stay in a state park with full hook-ups. It also had a covered picnic table. - mountainfan
Oct 2017 - $33.00
Very nice park. Cost was $28.00 p/night plus a one time $10.00 registration fee which works out to 33 p/night for us for two nights. Math not my forte. At any rate we stopped for some voyage repairs to our Motorhome and this was a good spot to do it from. Site have concrete pads and ours was just long enough for a 45' MH. Great walking and we were far enough from the road it didn't bother us. We will go back when visiting that part of Colorado. - SHIPM8

Nov 2017 - $17.00
Didn't know if you paid monthly there is no refund if your stay is cut short. Didn't see rules till after you paid. Work truck broke down so he brought it home and traded out trucks and was driving his personal truck there while at work, and they accused husband of having aftermarket stuff done to his personal truck he had to use which was false it is all stock but they would not listen and were very rude about it. Space is horrible sites are so close together, not kid friendly. People are rude. So glad to be out of there and will never go back. Worst RV park we have ever been to! - Abeyta
Sep 2017 - $26.00
Have stayed here before, so was not surprised. Nice park with level spots. As I only needed electricity and water, didn't opt for full hook ups. Did not watch television, so have no idea what the service is like. Staff was friendly and had no problems checking in. Was not asked age of rig. Good directions to site. I would stay here again when I am in the area. Price is very good. - redlou48
Jul 2016 - $32.00
This is our first stay in this RV park and will stay there again when we're in the area. Check-in went smoothly and we received clear directions to our site. Bathrooms and showers were clean. - Loving Retirement

Very quaint and older cabin. Really could use some updates on the electrical system. Couldn't use the air and the microwave at the same time. The cabin had air, microwave and refrigerator. Beds were very comfortable. The cabin was clean. Very small bathroom and shower but usable. - honey bee
Sep 2014 - $35.00
We couldn't get in Boyd Lake SP when it was full for the weekend ,so tried this park. The worker campers in office were nice but open hours are very limited. Looked like nearly every site was taken by full-time residents or long term visitors from out of state. Were told the Park has been purchased by owner of Riverview Rv Park down the street and eventually will not be open to over night campers. It was ok for our purposes, with cable, wifi and good electric. Bathrooms were small and very outdated; so was Laundry room. Most sites were tight and in full sun. Easy drive up Big Thompson canyon to Estes. Can't really recommend and it will be a residential-type place anyway. - Annie's Song
Jun 2014 - $31.00
Rate reflects weekly rate. Staff: friendly. Neighbors: friendly and, oh, my some were even long time residences. Yes, the sites are close together, but I've been at worse; we had a concrete pad with a picnic table on it which I consider quite roomy. It is on a hill and a bit tight to get into spots, but we managed with our 35' fifth wheel. Laundry facilities were clean. Location is great; not far to get to Estes Park/Rocky Mountain NP. Devil's Backbone a very short drive (1.3 miles) with great hiking and biking. Even Loveland downtown is not that far away. WiFi was relatively good. - MichelleKry

Aug 2017 - $32.00
Park is easy to get to and easy to get around in. All roads are dirt so lots of dust but they do have a water truck running during the day which helped a lot. All utilities worked will and Wi-Fi was average for a campground. It is on the river and some campers were fishing. They had a musical jam the weekend we were there and they were very good. Staff in office was very helpful and friendly. - dandg
Aug 2017 - $38.00
Pull thru sites are big in length but electric/sewer are every other lot so neighbors are close. WiFi good, satellite friendly, did not use cable. All roads are dirt so there is some dust, but not any worse than others with dirt roads. North of Estes and Rocky Mountain Nat. Park with a 22 mile/40 minute scenic drive. This campground is much more efficient than other reviews have suggested in my opinion. Fifty amp service, we have a 40' bus and ran two AC's much of the time with no issues. Water pressure was fine however we filled and used on board pressure pump. We've been out for 4 months and the last two in WY., UT., MT., and CO. We are satisfied, good bang for the buck. - Mike Lodge
Jul 2017 - $50.00
This park is old and needs maintenance, the roads in the park are all dirt and anyone driving on them leaves a large dust cloud. The site we stayed in is very close to the neighbor, both their door and ours open on the same side and their picnic table is about 5' from our door. The fire ring is also about 5' from our rig. There is 50amp power but it is very weak. Started out at 115 volts on each leg and dropped when using power in the coach. So far it has not tripped my EMS. We definitely would look for another park to stay in if we return to this area. - HenryMech

Apr 2016 - $16.00
If you have children this is not the campground for you! The sad little "playground" area is full of old and dangerous toys. The manager is unpleasant and rude when you have a problem, and is intolerant to children. She is unprofessional and literally walks away from you when you try to talk to her about an issue you have, even said "I don't care" and walked away when I told her my child was injured in the dilapidated playground when equipment broke during normal use. This is mostly long term and the campers nearly touch each other. There is hardly any space to walk your dog and people run their vehicles early in the morning waking you up. It's old, dirty and cramped. Picnic tables are even half normal size to fit between campers which nearly touch eachother. There is a game room, however your children cannot play in or near it without you present even if they are older and responsible. Also, we were quoted 380 a month but suddenly the price was 480 when we checked in. The store there is terribly small and there is hardly ever anyone working when you go into the office, you have to ring a door bell to summon the manager if you want something. There is no cable or other tv service. The internet is not reliable. You have to take your propane tanks into town to be filled. There is barely room to park a single vehicle near your camper and the overflow parking is inadequate. The laundry room leaves something to be desired, it is tiny, no where to fold your laundry once you do it, one of the 4 dryers is broken, and you have to wait 5 minutes between starting washes or the bathrooms flood. I liked the view and the location as well as some of the other long term people, however it did not balance out the negative for us. - RV_Living
Aug 2015 - $30.00
This is a very nice, very friendly park with many long-term campers. We usually stay by the month, so don't know the nightly rate. It is an old park, so the sites are on the small side, but adequate. There are few 50A sites, but the power is very stable. We will stay here again when in the area. - poudrewayne
Jun 2014 - $25.00
There are multiple campgrounds around Carter Lake. I stayed 1 night at the Eagle CG at the north end but had zero Verizon service even with a booster. Sites in Eagle can be challenging to get your rig level. I need 3 levels of leveling blocks and still wasn't quite level. Moved to the South Shore CG. I found a few sites where I could get a couple of bars of LTE on Verizon but only with a Wilson 4G booster. S27 and the adjacent sites had a signal. Park was busy on Sunday but pretty quite for the next 3 days. - Gary Camp-Inn
