3 Parks near Julesburg, Colorado
Jul 2016 - $35.00
Stayed for one night passing through. That is about all you can do here. Easy access. Across street from Colorado welcome center. Interstate noise was minimal. Area is sparsely populated as mentioned in other reviews, so do not expect much. There is a store on site but it was never open during our stay. Upon our arrival (in the middle of the day) the office and store was locked and empty. The manager (nice guy) dropped by several hours later after we chose our own spot and said "That's how we do it around here! Just pick your own spot." Sites were dirt/grass and level. Hook-ups were fine. There are very few spaces at this campground and not all have 50 amp, so you are very limited on site selection. It's an open field with some hookups arrayed in a u-shaped pattern. There is no shade and on a Colorado summer day it became quite warm. Despite this, there was plenty of room and the kids had a great time with open fields and grass to run around in. WiFi was listed, but we were never given a code nor used it. There are no facilities to use. No pools or playgrounds. The welcome center across the street had 24-hour restroom access which I found easy enough to use. I felt it was a bit pricey for what you got here. But that being said, there was some attraction to being out in the middle of nowhere with hardly anyone around. I would stay again, my family probably would not. - mm1407

This is okay for a 1-2 night stop, especially considering where it is. I stayed 2 nights, since the next available site with hookups is quite a distance.
The "park" is basically a loop of grass/gravel sites behind a store that never seems to be open. Call ahead and the owner will meet you. It's high plains country, sparsely populated, so don't expect "resort" maintenance. Hookups seem to work well, power is actually a full 120 volts. I was able to get level with a little back and forth. Not sure if the WiFi really works, but AT&T reception seems okay.
It looks like there are a couple of semi-permanent trailers, and 2-3 overnighters each day, but I rarely saw anybody, peaceful day and night. Owner is friendly. - bobk3d

Stayed here one night, and that was too much. Avoid this place if you can. Poorly run, grass sites with poor hook-ups. No facilities. Honestly, you would be better off staying in the parking lot of the visitors center across the road. - hawkandmegan
Jul 2016 - $17.00
Drive through grass and dirt site. We were off level over an inch side to side. Had a nice tree for shade. AT&T was excellent. WI-FI was very good. There were no numbers on the site so I can't provide a site number. A fair amount of road noise from US 80. Noise was something we got used to quickly. For the Passport America price, well worth it for one night. No picnic table was provided for our site but there were picnic tables scattered around. - travelcouple
Jul 2016 - $25.00
The owners are extremely accommodating. It's on a farm so very busy with workers at harvest time. Sites level and grassy. Get a real feel for farmers (10,000 acres) and their work ethic. Close to interstate and road noise but not bothersome. Very laid back park so don't expect RV city. - Bga
Oct 2015 - $15.00
As a PA park for the $15 rate it is OK for one night. It is a section of a farm where they put in a few RV sites. They were gravel and field pull-thru with full hookups, a BBQ stand and a picnic table. As it is just off I-80 there is some highway and some train noise although it was not too bad for sleeping. I've had worse. As this is a farm there is some cow manure smell. Since we were there in late Oct. it wasn't too bad. But I'm sure in the summertime it would be strong. - Michael Kibler

It's the trains...it seemed every 20 minutes. They blow their horns 5 times going through town and you hear every one of them! Beautiful grassy sites, friendly owners: but those trains...0_0. - AdrianaW
May 2016 - $25.00
What a beautiful RV park! The owners keep the place clean and mowed. There's a lovely little creek and bridge to cross it. Many trees including a young orchard that is home to many birds.
The campground is only about a block from town.
So the trains...yes there are trains...all day and all night and they are about 3 blocks away. They did wake me up but if we'd been running our AC I wouldn't have noticed them.
We had such a relaxing time here that we would not hesitate to return. - User3146
Oct 2015 - $13.00
Excellent value! Park owner friendly and helpful. Great little park for an overnight stay. I have stayed here before and will stay again if ever in the area. Very easy access off of interstate 80. Go north toward Chappell until you see entrance on left. No problem getting on or out with 33' motorhome towing. - Joy1
