This is a very nice park, it's quiet, nice back-in sites with ample room. AT&T Hot Spot excellent. Owners are very nice and take good care of their park. We stayed 5 nights and will return. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Loved this park. Had a "river" site, and although river currently dry, the river site gave us a large shady area between the back of the rv and the river. Lots of trees and shade. Deer roaming nearby. Great view of the Spanish Peaks. Great new owners. Community fire pit nightly with many campers present. Large library of books and DVD's. Owner posts a board of activities going on during the week in the area. WiFi good. ATT phone service good. We only got two stations on OTA antenna (Child PBS and another station we never heard of) and only a few stations using our DISH (no cable). We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of LaVeta is very small, but has numerous art galleries, a post office, gas station, quaint grocery store with ice cream/soda fountain. Cuchara about 11 miles away with quaint shops and restaurants. Try the hwy 12 / I25 scenic highway loop. There is a free app - TravelStorys - for a great audio tour while you travel the loop.

We enjoyed our 3 nights here. The campground is under new ownership. They have great plans for an already beautiful place. Big rig friendly, level sites and lots of room to maneuver. Pet friendly. Great views of Spanish Peaks. Easy walk to shops in town. Hiking and fishing close by. Nice river running through one side of campground with river access. The town and campground have lots of activities to keep you busy or you can just relax and enjoy nature. We will definitely return! We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small park with mostly seasonal residents. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our site was occupied when we pulled in due to a misunderstanding. We had to wait 2 hours to set up. We were provided a shaded place to sit and ice cream bars. Staff checked on us several times. We found park to be very friendly. Residents were welcoming. Site was level with back shade. Laundry and restrooms were spotless. Park is within walking distance of downtown La Veta. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small park run by very friendly folks. It's a little out of the way for an overnight, but it was beautifully quiet and it had excellent WiFi. For us, the only thing that would have made it better would have been a hot tub or swimming pool. Also, the sites in the park are all backins. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were there for 2 days, but did not spend much time at the campground. We went sight seeing and had a great time.

The campground is small. The people we met there come to spend the summer there. A nice place though a bit pricey. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We found this place while looking for an overnight spot. We plan to go back for a weekend relax. Its a bit out of the way and very small. Back in only spots but super quaint and nice place. Along a river with plenty of trees and grass. The staff were super nice and I need time to explore the little shop and town which I did not have on this trip. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Best park that we stayed at on this trip - one of the very best that we have ever stayed at for ambiance. Mountain views all around (7000 + ft altitude and small river in back of our rv). Just a small park but electric voltage and water pressure were good and wifi was excellent (small park). Staff and owners were super nice. Town is very small with little to do but relax so stock up with supplies before you come. We stayed here on our way further west and also on the return trip back east. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here twice this month, first in early June and liked it so much we came back on our way home from Colorado Springs and Estes Park. Originally we made reservations for the second stay for two nights but extended it to five. Loved it so much we couldn't leave! First stay was in site #12 (back-in, 50 amp). Second time was in site #31 (back-in, 30 amp). For privacy, site 31 is excellent. Even though all the sites are back-in, we had plenty of maneuvering room. Park owners are very nice and know the meaning of customer service and hospitality. Only drawback is the limited availability of 50 amp sites. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Full-sized grocery stores in Walsenburg (about 15 miles). Smaller grocery store in town. Good restaurants in town and especially 10 miles up the road in Cuchara.

Very clean park. Well maintained, easy hook ups. Owners want all to feel welcome and happy. Should problems occur they will help or direct you to help. Laundry available. Small dog park. Stayed for a month electric was included. The best camping in area. Nice size spaces. Gravel pads and streets. A walk to town for ice cream @ Charlie's a must. Stock up before arriving on essentials. Town is mostly small art and gift shops. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This Campground is a little out of the way for an overnight but it is great for a longer stay. We went for a premium site that was along the river for the extra 5.00 and it was very nice to hear the water running all the time. The campground is very neat and clean. They have a great common area that has a propane fire pit which is very nice to gather at night. The service was exceptional. The hosts were very easy going and helpful. We would definitely stay again given the opportunity to be in the area. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our original reservation was for 8 days and we stayed for 46 days because we were just not ready to leave. The park is nice and above all, comfortable. It is beautifully maintained, in a nice setting with wonderful owners. I understand why so many people return year after year.

All sites are back ins and all are about the same size - long enough for our 38 foot fifth wheel with the truck in front plus room for the jeep along side. The 50 amp sites are along a stream, some closer to it than others and the 30 amp sites make up the other three rows. Because we kept extending our stay we were in both 50 and 30 amp sites and the 30 was always adequate (cooler temps at that altitude!).

This is a park we would love to return to and one I have recommended to others. There was just something so friendly and did I say comfortable about it!

The rate reflects both weekly and monthly stays. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

La Veta is a quiet little town but keep an eye on the events calendar. There is the scenic Highway 12 drive. The Spanish Peaks and Trinchera for steeper climbs as well as lots of other hiking trails in the area.

We really enjoyed this small campground. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. They have done a lot of work and it is obvious that they really care about their campground and the guests that stay there. There was a nice game room, outdoor patio area, banquet room for large groups, small gift shop with handmade goodies and a nice dog run. We are already thinking of going back in the fall to enjoy the aspens! We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
