This Park is certainly the best choice for staying in or near La Veta. The road into the Park is dirt and muddy when it rains. All utility services were properly maintained and in excellent condition. Good water pressure, easy sewer access and rock solid electrical service. That road is lined with an odd collection of houses in varied conditions. Once passed the dirt road entrance the place has a down home feel. All the pads are level and all are gravel to include the inside road. Office staff could not have been more helpful. They treated us like family. There are families that return to this Park every year and for years. That says a lot WiFi is among the best we've had anywhere except at home. OTA TV is limited to none or maybe one. The Office has an extensive collection of movie DVDs that are available on the honor system. If we come back to this area this is the only place we'd stay. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

La Veta is a small and almost quaint town with a very nice well stocked grocery store. The town is close to some beautiful national forests and several scenic drives.

Great location. Sweet little town that has had a rough time this summer with a bad fire in the mountains and almost evacuated. This place had the best internet at a RV Park I have had this entire summer of traveling. Lovely drive into the mountains. As the drive recovers from the fire it will be fun to watch the changes. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

A cute little park. The area approaching the park is questionable until you get into the park. They have done a beautiful job with the welcoming and common areas. We paid for a premium spot which is suppose to back up to a river. However, don't pay for that premium spot. The river is not running and the rock bed is full of trash limbs. There is a rancher/farmer on the other side of the river so you can at least enjoy seeing the horses, goats, donkeys, etc... If I were to come back, we would request a spot in the middle section directly across from the river sites. The other negative I have for this park is that there are no pull through sites... We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Really nice people who care about their customers, but overpriced for what you get. I suppose it is the area. Level 30/50 amp back in gravel full hookup sites. A gameroom but nothing much else in amenities. Pets are allowed but there is no place to walk them other than the roads. $40 plus tax for 30 amp, $42 for 50 amp, and $45 for 50 amp on the creek. Good wifi, no cable but you can get satellite in some sites, cell iffy. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Far above the average RV park nicely decorated and kept up. Lots of details noted in previous reviews on access, sites etc. Can't recall any mentioning trees/shade - can be very good and well-trimmed grass about to include between sites. Good recycling availability. Verizon was marginal, almost always had voice, data was iffy but wifi is excellent. Owners/staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects cash discount. Very nice, clean park located just before you get into La Veta from HWY 160 west. The 50 amp sites back up directly to the Cuchara River, which was flowing swiftly while we were there. Big rig access is easy. Spaces are wide enough for comfort, long enough for our 37' with tow. Each site has a nice little picnic table. Electric was steady, water pressure good. The park WiFi worked very well, we experienced no drops or delays with it. The owners are present on site and are very pleasant to work with, check-in was easy and quick. The owner is very knowledgeable about the area and gives good advice on what to do and see. There is a washer/dryer room, showers, and a library. We didn't use the showers or restrooms, but everything in the building was clean and neat. There were two issues that kept us from giving this park a 10. First, just too many dogs off leash in the park and on the roads around the park. In one case, the owner did intervene and tell the owner they had to leash the dog, but of course, the minute her back was turned, the dog was off leash again. And second, there is no access to the river for those not in the 50 amp back-in sites, so people just cut throgh occupied spaces to get to the river. Other that those two things which annoyed us, it's a nice place to stay and we would probably stay here again while in the area. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great market, Charlies, has a good ice cream fountain. Visit the Fort Francisco Museum, very interesting. The drive along the Highway of Legends (CO12) is well worth the trip. Going west, visit the Fort Garland Museum. In Walsenburg, there is an old jail/prison that has been converted to a mining museum...small but well worth a visit. Interesting both as an old jail, and about mining in the area.

Super friendly, small, simple park but with plenty of options. We were the only "foreigners" there, so lots of friendly passers by coming along to chat to us! We had a back in site, level, easy access and everything working as it should. easy walk into the small town. There is a small DVD lending library and book swap, plus wildlife wandering through the park. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Check their web site for access instructions. Our satnav at first wanted to take us along a dirt road and across a missing bridge. The main road in and out is just as quick and much easier.

Quaint little park at the end of a dirt road--very quiet, no road noises. Sites are long, level, gravel back in. Just a few 50 amp sites, which are mostly taken. Good wi fi, no TV at all. Excellent restrooms, laundry, community room with large lending library, and DVD lending library in office. Some shade. Owners are super. When my husband developed breathing problems after one night, our money was quickly refunded for the rest of our stay. Not many parks will do that! Would love to come back but probably can't because of the altitude. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had a nice stay at this campground. The people are very friendly, as are the owners. Many of the 50 amp sites are booked for longer stays. We would definitely stay here again. Absolutely no road noise, easy access from the highway, and the ability to walk to the downtown area are huge pluses. Sites are just wide enough not to feel cramped. Excellent electricity. The campground was very clean and neat looking. There were many shade trees and small stream running along one side of campground. Some nights they had a campfire for the entire camp. Very helpful if you needed help.

We stayed there for 10 days and hope to stay there again soon. Great WiFi.

What a gem this park is! The owners have done an incredible job upgrading the park since they purchased it. They are so friendly and helpful.
