A delightful small RV park that is extemely well kept. Lots of funky decorations. They normally have a nightly gathering around a gas firepit but the night I stayed there it was too windy. The staff and people staying at the park were very friendly. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

New owners this year, and they have maintained the high standards of the previous owners. They are super-friendly and just delightful people! They also support a lot of the community activities. The sites are spacious by commercial RV park standards, with nice shade for most sites, at least for part of the day and especially in the afternoon when needed the most. ATT hotspot was fantastic, and the park wi-fi was very good, as well. The new owners are fantastic, so nice and helpful, easy to talk with and full of good information on local sights and activities. The park is nice and peaceful, and just on the edge of La Veta, which is cute and surrounded on two sides by some beautiful mountains which offer their own unique possibilities. We were in town for the Spanish Peaks International Celtic Music Festival this weekend. What a wonderful Celtic music festival...really a great selection of world-class musicians filling this little valley with awesome music. We'll return here, definitely.....for the music, the scenery, the weather and the fall colors! We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Charlie's Market for groceries. The Corner Diner for a great hamburger. Drive to Cuchara (about 11 miles south of La Veta) for awesome scenery and dinner at the Dog Bar! Shops in the area have unique gifts, too.

Great location. Sweet little town that has had a rough time this summer with a bad fire in the mountains and almost evacuated. This place had the best internet at a RV Park I have had this entire summer of traveling. Lovely drive into the mountains. As the drive recovers from the fire it will be fun to watch the changes. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects GS Discount. Our 2nd time here. Prices have gone up since our last stay here, but it's still a very nice and clean park. New owners have made a few changes, such as moving dumpster to the back of the property, everything still very neat and clean. Lady in office was friendly and helpful on check-in. We arrived a day after a major hail storm, so understandably there were a lot of leaf and tree debris around but it was being cleaned up. Electric was steady, level sites, hookups are placed well, toward back of site. All sites are back in. Lots of trees for shade. This time we stayed in a "standard" site, not on the river, it suited us fine. Still more loose dogs around than we like to see but many people appear to comply with leash rule. Park is very quiet and comfortable for one night or longer stay. You can walk to town. We would like to visit here again. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Loved this park. Had a "river" site, and although river currently dry, the river site gave us a large shady area between the back of the rv and the river. Lots of trees and shade. Deer roaming nearby. Great view of the Spanish Peaks. Great new owners. Community fire pit nightly with many campers present. Large library of books and DVD's. Owner posts a board of activities going on during the week in the area. WiFi good. ATT phone service good. We only got two stations on OTA antenna (Child PBS and another station we never heard of) and only a few stations using our DISH (no cable). We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of LaVeta is very small, but has numerous art galleries, a post office, gas station, quaint grocery store with ice cream/soda fountain. Cuchara about 11 miles away with quaint shops and restaurants. Try the hwy 12 / I25 scenic highway loop. There is a free app - TravelStorys - for a great audio tour while you travel the loop.

Far above the average RV park nicely decorated and kept up. Lots of details noted in previous reviews on access, sites etc. Can't recall any mentioning trees/shade - can be very good and well-trimmed grass about to include between sites. Good recycling availability. Verizon was marginal, almost always had voice, data was iffy but wifi is excellent. Owners/staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our 3 nights here. The campground is under new ownership. They have great plans for an already beautiful place. Big rig friendly, level sites and lots of room to maneuver. Pet friendly. Great views of Spanish Peaks. Easy walk to shops in town. Hiking and fishing close by. Nice river running through one side of campground with river access. The town and campground have lots of activities to keep you busy or you can just relax and enjoy nature. We will definitely return! We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects cash discount. Very nice, clean park located just before you get into La Veta from HWY 160 west. The 50 amp sites back up directly to the Cuchara River, which was flowing swiftly while we were there. Big rig access is easy. Spaces are wide enough for comfort, long enough for our 37' with tow. Each site has a nice little picnic table. Electric was steady, water pressure good. The park WiFi worked very well, we experienced no drops or delays with it. The owners are present on site and are very pleasant to work with, check-in was easy and quick. The owner is very knowledgeable about the area and gives good advice on what to do and see. There is a washer/dryer room, showers, and a library. We didn't use the showers or restrooms, but everything in the building was clean and neat. There were two issues that kept us from giving this park a 10. First, just too many dogs off leash in the park and on the roads around the park. In one case, the owner did intervene and tell the owner they had to leash the dog, but of course, the minute her back was turned, the dog was off leash again. And second, there is no access to the river for those not in the 50 amp back-in sites, so people just cut throgh occupied spaces to get to the river. Other that those two things which annoyed us, it's a nice place to stay and we would probably stay here again while in the area. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great market, Charlies, has a good ice cream fountain. Visit the Fort Francisco Museum, very interesting. The drive along the Highway of Legends (CO12) is well worth the trip. Going west, visit the Fort Garland Museum. In Walsenburg, there is an old jail/prison that has been converted to a mining museum...small but well worth a visit. Interesting both as an old jail, and about mining in the area.

Super friendly, small, simple park but with plenty of options. We were the only "foreigners" there, so lots of friendly passers by coming along to chat to us! We had a back in site, level, easy access and everything working as it should. easy walk into the small town. There is a small DVD lending library and book swap, plus wildlife wandering through the park. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Check their web site for access instructions. Our satnav at first wanted to take us along a dirt road and across a missing bridge. The main road in and out is just as quick and much easier.

This is a small park with mostly seasonal residents. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our site was occupied when we pulled in due to a misunderstanding. We had to wait 2 hours to set up. We were provided a shaded place to sit and ice cream bars. Staff checked on us several times. We found park to be very friendly. Residents were welcoming. Site was level with back shade. Laundry and restrooms were spotless. Park is within walking distance of downtown La Veta. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

What a nice park. The owner is a great ambassador of the local chamber of commerce as she puts local events in her weekly newsletter. Spacious sites, good water pressure, new, stronger Wi-Fi. This is our second visit here and we'll come again next year. The other park across town is too tight, and the park across the road from this one isn't as nice, so this is the best RV park in town! We had a nice stay at this campground. The people are very friendly, as are the owners. Many of the 50 amp sites are booked for longer stays. We would definitely stay here again. Absolutely no road noise, easy access from the highway, and the ability to walk to the downtown area are huge pluses. Sites are just wide enough not to feel cramped. Excellent electricity.
