They will not refund for any reason! I paid in full ahead of time for 4 nights - Oct. 13-17. There is a strong storm coming coming this weekend, too dangerous to pull a camper through. The girl on the phone said "Oh well its Colorado it gets cold here!" We usually bring grand kids here for their October Fall Halloween fun we love the park, But we won't be back. I didn't expect a full refund, I was even willing to change the dates, but the good customer service is gone. Sun RV Resorts - at Jellystone Park. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The entire campground is built on the sides of some hills. Dusty, rutted dirt roads lead up to unlevel dirt sites. Although dense, low trees provided privacy from other sites almost everywhere. Regardless Route 25 is continuously very noisy at all times of day and night. Bathrooms are clean but worn. Restrooms are scarce - you may have to walk possibly long distances up/down hill on uneven dirt roads at night to restrooms and showers. They'll "generously" rent you golf carts at $45-$55/day to ease the trip up and down hill to the pool and "ranger station". Camping with kids is the only reason to stay here unless you have to. Call for reservations because you may not get discounts, like Good Sam, when doing on-line. Once reservation made no discount is available. We stayed in the new section under construction. It seemed spacious but not appealing. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Motorhome.

This was the first time we visited, though we live less than an hour away. I wanted the experience to be a fun (rugged but comfortable) family camping experience - especially for our two 12-year-old grandsons who were going back to school the following week. It was wonderful and the daily calendar of activities provided some nice options for entertainment. We stayed in Yurt #2 and would highly recommend it. Sleeps 6 and has 1 dresser, 2 nightstands, 2 chairs, wicker shelf, 2 space heaters, 2 lamps (electricity for phone charging), broom/dust pan, concrete floors, roll-up canvas windows & crank-open dome for circulation + picnic table & fire pit (with grill rack). Great location, large lot private & serene (doe & her two fawns visited us), close to bath house and nearby pavilion which hosted several activities the youngsters participated in. Walking distance to pool, and trail. In fact, we opted to walk everywhere, rather than drive the short distances. We were told they are expanding the park to include more camp sites, nice dog park, rock climbing wall and water park - some completion in 2019. Exciting news. The park does need some spiffing up here-and-there, and it's camping - not glamping - so enjoy what is there, pack well and enjoy. Wished they provided "suggested list of items to bring" emailed with reservation confirmation because I hadn't been camping since I was a kid, but I over packed and got it right. :) BTW, queen sheets for the two beds work fine, even though one is a double bed. Brought twin sheets for the bunk beds but boys opted to use sleeping bags instead, which worked great. Some great memories for all of us and we look forward to doing it again next summer. Thursday arrival was peaceful, weekend got busy. P.S. Enjoyed flag raising & Pledge of Allegiance. Thanks!! We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Cabin.

They were great to get us a space at the last minute. But I didn't like the way all the spaces are so secluded from each other...trees and shrubbery made us feel like we were in the mountains by ourselves. Some people might like that, but we enjoy socializing with our neighbors. All the spaces are scattered in the hillside, so that was nice, but we had no view because of the seclusion. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The park was satisfactory but had narrow roads with challenging inclines (I guess I should have expected that in Colorado). We were assigned a site on the front road of the park which was about 200 yards from I-25 (lots of trucks) and 100 yards from the railroad tracks (lots of trains day and night). The noise was constant 24/7. It may have been better further back in the park. On the plus side, the park was clean with level gravel sites. There were lots of kid activities while we were there. It was close to Halloween so there was a costume parade and other Halloween activities. Very kid friendly and fun, even though we didn't have any children with us (we're in our 70's). Except for the noise it was a good experience. Recommendation, reserve a spot further back from the train tracks and I-25. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Motorhome.

Meh! I mean for the money they charge I just expect more. I spent $60.00 a night for an "electric deluxe site" I don't know what was deluxe about it, no sewer, no water and not level, plus we were in a section that seemed more like overflow camping then a part of the campground. The water was the main issue for me since I hadn't topped my fresh tank and didn't realize I didn't have water until I was completely set up. (Note to self; look at hookups first thing) they do have a hose at the check in station to use but as I said I didn't know this so I used the old 5 gallon jug to get water in it. My real beef with it is their website should have better information about site specific amenities. Like the fire ring we had but didn't know about until we got there, so instead of bringing our own wood we spent $6.50 a bundle for theirs. Overall upkeep of the park was marginal at best the ball pit was a sandbox, the pool was small and crowded and a relic. The field of dreams was an overgrown field. The swimming hole I liked but it too needed the sticker bushes around it taken out an a better way to get to the top of the slide. The staff was very friendly and helpful and my grandkids loved the activities but we weren't impressed. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Travel Trailer.

Disgusting excuse for an RV Park. Sights not level, often in the extreme. Mud, gravel, extremely steep hills complete the scene. We are on top of a hill far from showers or rest room. Unimproved overpriced sad facility. Few alternatives, the place is full. This park should be avoided. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Motorhome.

We were stuck in Colorado with a broken truck and a 3' snow storm. The manager of the park allowed us to stay in the parking lot and was very accommodating when it took 5 days for us to get back on the road. Great bunch of people, thanks so much for the help. Park on edge of railroad tracks & I 25. Noisy all night! Very hilly campground on side of foothill. Sites vary but very few are level. A family oriented park so lots of kids driving golf carts & moving about. WiFi was OK but slow.

If you must stay in that area, pick a site up the hillside but check it out first! We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Travel Trailer.

Park is in need of severe upkeep. From the site to dog park, park needs maintenance. Picnic table was not usable, it was in such bad shape. Power pedestal was falling over, water faucet leaked. People coming down the hill, speeding. Staff not doing anything about it. Paid for 2 days, stayed 1. The only way we would stay there again is if we were totally LOST. Stayed for 2 nights. We have a 43ft and it took a least an hour to get the rig level and the rear wheels are 10 inches off the ground. Had to block the wheels. At 65 dollars a night I would expect better. Staff were nice but no refunds on canceled days. Staff said cost was due to all the cool kiddie amenities. So the retired people can charge extra. The only place that was convenient to stay. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Motorhome.

Stayed here because it was close to a wedding we were attending. The place is very hilly, had to back into a slot carved out of a hillside, no problem doing it, just not convenient. There was NO view dirt banks and foliage on both sides. The sewer connection was covered with dirt, had to dig it out prior to being able to hook on. Picnic table was pretty bad shape. Went to swimming pool to find it was out of order, wish they would have told us that when we checked in. They could not help it, it was struck by lightening, out of courtesy think they would tell you. It served the purpose of being close to the wedding, otherwise would not stay again. Had to walk UP hill to get to anything, showers were too far away to use easily. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Travel Trailer.

Family/kid friendly. If you have kids who like to swim in a warm pool, like hay rides, parks, and a bouncer/trampoline, this is the place for you. Our kids had a blast. Pros - activities, pancake breakfast, clean restrooms. The sites are level, well-shaded, and although close together, they did a great job separating them with trees. Cons - the biggest was no fire rings at individual campsites - instead, you had to walk (or rent a golf cart, as many did) to a common area and use a fire ring there. Impossible to sit around the fire while the kids are asleep inside, or to start a fire in the morning while the rest of the family is still getting up. The other con - it was right next to I-25 and a busy train track. Even though we had layers of trees blocking the views, the trains were loud and frequent (seemed to be at least every 30 minutes). We would likely return, primarily for the kids. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur in a Travel Trailer.
