We stopped for a night, got here early enough, after set-up, it was hot, so we got into the refreshing pool. Like most KOAs though, inadequate garbage facilities, garbage is overflowing for the amount of customer usage. Our site was a bit short, but no grass, only gravel (and dusty, though we realize we are in that type of climate.) Hookups were in a good universal place. The BEST WiFi we've had in awhile! That's a plus! Owner lives onsite and is very friendly and very present with her customers. They serve a pancake breakfast in the morning, and pizza in the evening. This is a great stopover for a night or two in the middle of the plains. We would definitely stay here again on our way through. We camped at Limon KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Fairly typical for a KOA; not meant as a compliment. Pricey for what it is but it is OK for where it is; next door to the middle of nowhere. Only game in town. Easy access off I-70. Sites are tight and close together, but OK. Water pressure is very high; need a regulator. Did not hook up to sewer because only here one night. However, it would have taken every inch of sewer hose. Will stay here again basically because of where it is. We camped at Limon KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is not much to Limon but they do have a grocery store and drug store and several fuelstops. There probably are eating places as well but we did not look for them.

Overnight stop along I-70. Site was level but more dirt than gravel. Roads are easy to navigate. They did warn us that water pressure is high and that is stated in their map - so bring a regulator. Wi-fi is useless. The sewer hook-up was 'capped' with a concrete 'plug' and there was no way to secure the sewer hose. We camped at Limon KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night at this KOA while passing through Limon. It had rained a lot and the roads were a mess. If we had gotten more rain the entire place would have been a mud pit. The spaces were tight and the roads were tight. Very pricey in my opinion. The right price for this stay should have been about $28.00. We camped at Limon KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Pulled in late at night. Had to pay extra for two kids (7 and 11). It ended up costing us $55. When we woke up and looked out we were disappointed. Run down and not as nice as what a KOA usually is.... Especially for $55. The sad thing is, it does a lot of business, so there's not a motivation for beautification. We camped at Limon KOA in a Travel Trailer.

They can't help the weather. This park is going to be dry and dusty. Sites are easy to navigate and they are trying to grow some trees. A reasonable stopover site when traveling I-70. We camped at Limon KOA in a Travel Trailer.

As with most KOA's it is pretty pricey for what you get. This park is fine for a night or two. Clean pool. Wifi was in and out, and we were close to the office. Not a lot nearby in Limon. Park was well maintained and staff was very friendly. You can even order a pizza from the office and they deliver to your site. We took advantage of this, as it was too windy to barbque one night. Easy to navigate interior roads, sites are level and some have grill. Pull through site was easy in and out. Would stay here again. We camped at Limon KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a Journey park and not much to it. The sites were technically long enough but so narrow it was tough to fit our motorhome + tow. Staff wasn't overly friendly. Good enough for a one night's stay but don't expect anything special. We camped at Limon KOA in a Motorhome.

Good KOA close to I 70. Pull through sites available. The sites are grass/gravel but are fairly roomy and easy pull through. Only inconvenience is the dump station requires circling the park an extra time due to the location. Staff is friendly and they offer a pancake breakfast ($6.00) each morning. There is a small fenced off dog park in the rear. We camped at Limon KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This was a last minute overnight stop off for us. Originally, we were going to push to make it to the west side of Denver before stopping, but that turned out to be a bust when we got caught up in a rainstorm. This KOA is literally the only thing between here and another KOA in Denver, from what I have seen. It is also one of the very few between Limon and the CO border. Honestly, we were a bit apprehensive when we arrived. The KOA is down a dirt road behind a Pizza Hut and what looks to be a motel. However, upon our arrival, the facilities were rather decent. If not aged a bit, they seemed clean enough and the staff was a bit friendly, but a bit bored with their lives - as if they had something better to do then just sit around and help campers. Oh well...

Set up was easy - no boards needed for leveling, campsites were easy to pull into for the night. WiFi was decent enough, as was cable. They had a pool and a rec. room, neither of which we used. However, the showers were clean and the water pressure was pretty decent. The only drawback (which could be debatable by some) is that they play loud rock music, even at 10:30 at night, must to my own dismay. Overall though, not terrible.

Good for a night stop, but overall, not extremely thrilled with the quality of the camp. It kind of has an eerie feel to it at night and it doesn't help that there are very few lights, so walking around at night was a little nerve wracking - overall, not terrible, but not the best we've stayed at either. We camped at Limon KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I give these people a one because I cannot go lower. I have been RV camping for 3 years, and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. The owner verbally attacked me for tying my dog on a lead at our site. I felt he was going to hit me at any movement. The sites were level dirt and the hookups were good. We were placed facing apartments, and asked if we could change spots. There were several open across the park with better views. The young attendant was pleasant and told us to let him know if we found a preferable spot, but when my daughter returned to tell him, the woman owner was there and said none were available. They were all still open the next morning. Never again. Husband and wife owners treated us horribly. We camped at Limon KOA in a Motorhome.

An old campground but did suffice for an overnight stay. An all-u-can-eat pancake breakfast for $6 each morning. After a good rain, mud puddles every where. The water pressure is very high, bring a pressure regulator. The location is very close to I-70 but didn't bother us. Would stay here again. We camped at Limon KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, level sites, clean, but expensive, even for for KOA. Prices vary depending on services you want (electric only or FHU) and the season you visit. Large dog walk areas, and the office makes pizza/wings in the evenings. Easy access from I-70. Lots of overnighters, and a few long-term campers. Good CATV and wi-fi. Good for one nite layover.
