This is an older park with dirt roads and sites. Most of the campground is too tight for Big Rigs (tight turns and low hanging tree limbs) but there are 8 sites behind the office which can accommodate rigs over 40 feet. No WiFi, cable or sewer. There is a dump station which is easy to access. Since this is a county fairground there are lots of horse shows and events on weekends. Very dusty in the summer. The campground used to take reservations but it is now on a first-come, first-serve system. This will not be a problem if you arrive mid week but weekends seem pretty full. Good location for touring the Boulder area. We will stay here again. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

We camped here 5 nights. The staff was extremely friendly. The showers were clean and the sites, although close, we're adequate. The entire campground was dirt so either dusty or muddy, depending on weather. Our RV is 38' long. The campground has great access to walk/bike trails, shopping, and restaurants. We would camp here again. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Well where do I start. We had reservations to stay in this campground and while we were staying at the state park close by we decided to drive by and check it out. We are so glad we did because there is no way we could stay there. The sites are really too close because if you are lucky to get your slide out you won't have RV and those that did were barley big enough. The grass between sites was dead or over grown, a adult put bull was laying in the gutter and we wondered if it was dead, this place just did not look like a safe environment. Don't let the picture on the web page fool you as it is very misleading. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is NOT a destination. It part of the fairgrounds and is a dirt lot with water/electric sites that are quite narrow. We don't have any slides and we found it cramped. Site was dirt and sloped a bit so we had to use the rarely used leveling blocks. When we got here there were some sketchy types hanging out smoking and drinking but they left the next day. Water/electric worked well. Nothing for kids to do but run around dodging traffic. We stayed here 3 nights as nothing else was available. This park is okay for adults with small rigs who need an overnight stop. We might stay here again if the need ever arises. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Nice county-run park. Sites are dirt but level with a bit of grass between them. Water and electricity only. Water and electicity is $25, water OR electric only is $20, no hookups $15. Self pay station if the office is closed takes Visa, MC, or cash. Might be a bit noisy if there are events going on but on this Friday night it was peaceful. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

The sites in this park are very close together, but is still an OK place to spend a few nights. There is little privacy, but the park is well run and is quite at night. We spent a couple of weekend nights because there were few other places to stay. On Saturday morning, we were treated to a very nice Farmers Market only a short walk away. We did not have time during our stay to avail ourselves to the great bike trails in the area, plus some were damaged by the flooding of of 2013. The stay was made more pleasant by a very nice and helpful campground manager. She knew the area and was more than happy to spend time sharing her information. There was a sign on the registration window stating that they could not be responsible for low voltage. At first that concerned us, but the manager said she had never seen a problem during her stay and we had no problem. Our Verizon phone and data worked very well. We were able to get satellite, but some sites would have a problem. Some of the sites have a bit of shade, which can be quite welcome during the summer. Unfortunately, the campground does not have a laundry. You can all ahead to make reservations, but, at times, it can be difficult reaching the campground manager. The price is right. We would stay here again to stock up, but it would not be a destination park. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

My biggest problem with this park is the size of the spots. Between the location, price and other parks being full, we forced our 35' fifth wheel into one of their regular pull-through sites. We had a tree on the driver's sided that limited our flexibility within the spot. Our passenger slideout was over our spot's boundary. If we wanted to sit outside, we would have to put our chairs out front or back; no room out the front door. After a couple of days the RV beside us moved and we we had room to breathe. There were plenty of open spots so all of us bohemians could spill over. There is no WiFi and you can not send packages here. There is a train that makes about 3 trips during the night, and it blows its horn the whole time! Bring ear plugs. There are so many positives though. There is great walking trails out back of the fairgrounds along ponds and the river; you can walk for miles. There is a farmer's market on Saturdays. The events at the fairgrounds brings lots of horses around on the weekends. Animal Care Services is down the road and I loved to see all the volunteers walk dogs all day. I was also able to get my dogs and cat vaccinated at their wellness clinic by just walking over with no appointment needed. There was no dog poop or litter relative to any other place we've stayed! Lots of goose poop at the ponds though. Since no sewer and we were staying for 2 weeks, I showered in their facilities. They were spotless, hot water, and good pressure. I was sad to go back to showering in my RV. They had recycling and composting! We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has improved considerably because of the manager. She is a cheerful, helpful, and pleasant person to talk to. This is an OK place to stay and is probably the most convenient place for access to Longmont or Boulder. Be aware there is a limit of 14 days a year, which is held to fairly rigorously unless there is an emergency such as a breakdown or a serious health concern. We would stay here again as a good place to stay while visiting families in Boulder. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park in Longmont. Sites are various sizes with some that can hold a 45' motorhome and toad. There is a dump station at the park. Some sights have electric/water or just electric. Park is located within driving distance to the Rocky Mountain NP about 1 1/4 hour. Sites are gravel, sand, and dirt, which can be messy if it rains. Sites are very close together, luckily most of the time we were there the park wasn't full. We were here for 13 nights due to needing to get some work done on our truck. Nice feature is that this park is within easy walking / biking distance of the St. Vrain Greenway trail for recreational opportunities. Weekends are busier with all the activities at the Fairgrounds, but overall it's pretty quiet at this park. Our Verizon MiFi worked well in the park. We took advantage of the many, many shopping opportunities to restock and refurbish a few items in our rig. We'd rather stay at a state park or a park with a little more room between sites, but overall our stay here was okay and was a reasonable choice given that we had to be in the area for the work on our truck. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great park. We have 2 dogs and it was a perfect place with acres of land around to walk the dogs. There were trails and ponds nearby. Although there is no sewer hookup, the dump station is available for that and it worked out fine. There's no Wi-Fi, but there are many "hot spots" around the area at restaurants and coffee houses. We had to be here on business and it was a good place to stay for 10 days since it is not expensive. The park host was very, very nice. We are definitely coming back here. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Ended up at the Fair Grounds after our previous RV Park did not work out. We were visiting for a wedding and since the last park didn't work out, we were getting desperate. The Fair Grounds are a no frills place, but everything was clean, quite and secure. We stayed for 3 days. Would stay there again. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Previous reviewer comments still valid. $25 fee is for water and electricity, $20 for only one of them. A mixture of campers -- tents to motor homes. Pull through spaces too short for RV & car, but plenty of extra parking available. Nearest laundry is on Main street, not too far. Over-the-air TV reception very good. Verizon MiFi worked well. Best to carefully choose your spot, rather than have the host assign it, as some are narrow, short, and have trees in the way. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This campground has a variety of sites, some are suitable for 40 foot plus rigs. There is electricity and water but no sewer hookup. Flies are a problem, probably attracted by the horses that seem to be there most of the time on the fairgrounds. Many of the water spigots on the campground leak, apparently poorly maintained. The dump site costs $5 but that does not apply to campers. One must drive out of the campground and then re-enter so It is extremely hard to drive into. We would stay here again if the options to other places were not available, but this place barely passes as being a suitable place to stay. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Most sites are less than 40 ft. long and 20 ft. wide so be careful, as they are all mixed in together. There is a dump station and some sites have water, electricity, or nothing. Again, be careful. While it was once covered with gravel, the park is now mostly dirt and this would be a problem when it rains (not during our visit, though). However, given that there is little alternative between here and Golden to the south if you are visiting Boulder, it is your best choice. Be aware that being next to the fairgrounds, there are times when events make the park crowded so be sure to check the schedule. You can make reservations but the variation in site amenities could make this tricky if you have not been here before (E1 is good as is F5 as far as a bit of shade and extra space is concerned). The shower and bathroom facilities are well care for and you can see a selection of dogs up for adoption being walked along the front by volunteers from the Humane Society shelter down the street. We had to park our truck in a vacant site because there was not room for it on our site. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.
