Nice little park in the middle of longmont, CO. Nothing fancy about it, gravel roads and sites that are little tight. Bathhouse with separate showers. Lots of places and things to do with a mile or two. We were able to ride our bikes to grocery stores, restaurants, and the old main street area. About a 15 minute drive to Boulder. No wifi or cable. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Simple park in nice area, convenient to shopping, movies, and Saturday farmers market in season. Easy spots on a first come first serve basis with 14 day stay limit. Easy into Boulder, Lafayette, etc. W&E worked great. Dump station pretty easy to get into. No sewer sites but nicely kept bathhouse with individually lock shower stalls and clean sink/toilet ares. Very quiet after dark. Humane shelter close by but no noise noted. Park needs some spiffing up so you don't feel like you are camping in an empty lot. Overall, a good place to stay.

We will stay here again. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

We were looking for a campground that would be convenient for visiting friends in the Longmont/Boulder area. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on a weekend in September.

All sites have electric, some have water. There's a dump station near the entrance. There's no wifi. ATT and Verizon coverage were ok. The sites are all arrayed in a flat gravel parking lot and are quite narrow. Sites on the ends of the rows feel larger as they abut small islands to direct traffic which also hold a picnic table. There are few trees, mostly around the perimeter. Despite the small sites and nearly full campground, we enjoyed several quiet nights. All sites are first come first serve, there are no reservations. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The location of this campground was great. It's 5 minutes to downtown Longmont, 20 minutes to Boulder and less than an hour to Denver. It's surrounded by malls, so stocking up on supplies and eating out were short walks away.

The sites in this park are pretty close together. We are able to get our slides out but you are very close to your neighbor. It can be very muddy when it rains. This campground is in town so your are close to groceries and several big box stores. Boulder is a short drive and Denver is about half an hour away. The location is the best feature. We found this park to be fairly quiet. We were one of the lucky sites that had a picnic table. Most don't. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is an older park with dirt roads and sites. Most of the campground is too tight for Big Rigs (tight turns and low hanging tree limbs) but there are 8 sites behind the office which can accommodate rigs over 40 feet. No WiFi, cable or sewer. There is a dump station which is easy to access. Since this is a county fairground there are lots of horse shows and events on weekends. Very dusty in the summer. The campground used to take reservations but it is now on a first-come, first-serve system. This will not be a problem if you arrive mid week but weekends seem pretty full. Good location for touring the Boulder area. We will stay here again. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

We have used this campground many times in the past due to family in Longmont. Positives: Location is right behind the County Fairgrounds, so convenient for events (if you don't mind horses with occasional noise and odor) and the Sat. AM farmer's market. Short drive to shopping, including a Super Target. Nice walking trails around ponds with osprey nesting areas. Negatives: Sadly, our most recent visit was miserable. There are no sewer hookups (dump station) and the bathhouse, consisting of men's and women's bathrooms with toilets/sinks and a row of separate shower rooms, is heavily used and filthy. The bath house is cleaned by county jail inmates, and cleaned poorly. The lights kept going on and off for an inexplicable reason, making the bath house impossible to use at night. Apparently the county very honorably welcomed refugees from last year's horrible floods to camp there, but there still seems to be some people living there semi-permanently with rigs in disrepair. The grounds get muddy in rain since roads and sites are all gravel. The grounds are weed-infested. As a result, the whole campground now has a very seedy appearance despite a nice flower bed framing the front. There is a clerk manning an office, but if you arrive after hours you have to go over to the county maintenance yard nearby to get the bath house code. There is a cash machine to pay (need exact change or credit card) regardless if the clerk is there. $20 reflects electric only, $25 for electric & water. We will probably stay again, however, since St. Vrain State Park, the other option in town, is more expensive and further out of town. We'll just have to be self-contained and hope for no rain. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here 5 nights. The staff was extremely friendly. The showers were clean and the sites, although close, we're adequate. The entire campground was dirt so either dusty or muddy, depending on weather. Our RV is 38' long. The campground has great access to walk/bike trails, shopping, and restaurants. We would camp here again. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Well where do I start. We had reservations to stay in this campground and while we were staying at the state park close by we decided to drive by and check it out. We are so glad we did because there is no way we could stay there. The sites are really too close because if you are lucky to get your slide out you won't have RV and those that did were barley big enough. The grass between sites was dead or over grown, a adult put bull was laying in the gutter and we wondered if it was dead, this place just did not look like a safe environment. Don't let the picture on the web page fool you as it is very misleading. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is NOT a destination. It part of the fairgrounds and is a dirt lot with water/electric sites that are quite narrow. We don't have any slides and we found it cramped. Site was dirt and sloped a bit so we had to use the rarely used leveling blocks. When we got here there were some sketchy types hanging out smoking and drinking but they left the next day. Water/electric worked well. Nothing for kids to do but run around dodging traffic. We stayed here 3 nights as nothing else was available. This park is okay for adults with small rigs who need an overnight stop. We might stay here again if the need ever arises. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Nice county-run park. Sites are dirt but level with a bit of grass between them. Water and electricity only. Water and electicity is $25, water OR electric only is $20, no hookups $15. Self pay station if the office is closed takes Visa, MC, or cash. Might be a bit noisy if there are events going on but on this Friday night it was peaceful. The sites in this park are very close together, but is still an OK place to spend a few nights. There is little privacy, but the park is well run and is quite at night. We spent a couple of weekend nights because there were few other places to stay. On Saturday morning, we were treated to a very nice Farmers Market only a short walk away. We did not have time during our stay to avail ourselves to the great bike trails in the area, plus some were damaged by the flooding of of 2013. The stay was made more pleasant by a very nice and helpful campground manager. She knew the area and was more than happy to spend time sharing her information. There was a sign on the registration window stating that they could not be responsible for low voltage. At first that concerned us, but the manager said she had never seen a problem during her stay and we had no problem. Our Verizon phone and data worked very well. We were able to get satellite, but some sites would have a problem. Some of the sites have a bit of shade, which can be quite welcome during the summer. Unfortunately, the campground does not have a laundry. You can all ahead to make reservations, but, at times, it can be difficult reaching the campground manager. The price is right. We would stay here again to stock up, but it would not be a destination park. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

My biggest problem with this park is the size of the spots. Between the location, price and other parks being full, we forced our 35' fifth wheel into one of their regular pull-through sites. We had a tree on the driver's sided that limited our flexibility within the spot. Our passenger slideout was over our spot's boundary. If we wanted to sit outside, we would have to put our chairs out front or back; no room out the front door. After a couple of days the RV beside us moved and we we had room to breathe. There were plenty of open spots so all of us bohemians could spill over. There is no WiFi and you can not send packages here. There is a train that makes about 3 trips during the night, and it blows its horn the whole time! Bring ear plugs. There are so many positives though. There is great walking trails out back of the fairgrounds along ponds and the river; you can walk for miles. There is a farmer's market on Saturdays. The events at the fairgrounds brings lots of horses around on the weekends. Animal Care Services is down the road and I loved to see all the volunteers walk dogs all day. I was also able to get my dogs and cat vaccinated at their wellness clinic by just walking over with no appointment needed. There was no dog poop or litter relative to any other place we've stayed! Lots of goose poop at the ponds though. Since no sewer and we were staying for 2 weeks, I showered in their facilities. They were spotless, hot water, and good pressure. I was sad to go back to showering in my RV. They had recycling and composting! We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has improved considerably because of the manager. She is a cheerful, helpful, and pleasant person to talk to. This is an OK place to stay and is probably the most convenient place for access to Longmont or Boulder. Be aware there is a limit of 14 days a year, which is held to fairly rigorously unless there is an emergency such as a breakdown or a serious health concern. We would stay here again as a good place to stay while visiting families in Boulder. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park in Longmont. Sites are various sizes with some that can hold a 45' motorhome and toad. There is a dump station at the park. Some sights have electric/water or just electric. Park is located within driving distance to the Rocky Mountain NP about 1 1/4 hour. Sites are gravel, sand, and dirt, which can be messy if it rains. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Sites are very close together, luckily most of the time we were there the park wasn't full. We were here for 13 nights due to needing to get some work done on our truck. Nice feature is that this park is within easy walking / biking distance of the St. Vrain Greenway trail for recreational opportunities. Weekends are busier with all the activities at the Fairgrounds, but overall it's pretty quiet at this park. Our Verizon MiFi worked well in the park. We took advantage of the many, many shopping opportunities to restock and refurbish a few items in our rig. We'd rather stay at a state park or a park with a little more room between sites, but overall our stay here was okay and was a reasonable choice given that we had to be in the area for the work on our truck. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.
