If you have children this is not the campground for you! The sad little "playground" area is full of old and dangerous toys. The manager is unpleasant and rude when you have a problem, and is intolerant to children. She is unprofessional and literally walks away from you when you try to talk to her about an issue you have, even said "I don't care" and walked away when I told her my child was injured in the dilapidated playground when equipment broke during normal use. This is mostly long term and the campers nearly touch each other. There is hardly any space to walk your dog and people run their vehicles early in the morning waking you up. It's old, dirty and cramped. Picnic tables are even half normal size to fit between campers which nearly touch eachother. There is a game room, however your children cannot play in or near it without you present even if they are older and responsible. Also, we were quoted 380 a month but suddenly the price was 480 when we checked in. The store there is terribly small and there is hardly ever anyone working when you go into the office, you have to ring a door bell to summon the manager if you want something. There is no cable or other tv service. The internet is not reliable. You have to take your propane tanks into town to be filled. There is barely room to park a single vehicle near your camper and the overflow parking is inadequate. The laundry room leaves something to be desired, it is tiny, no where to fold your laundry once you do it, one of the 4 dryers is broken, and you have to wait 5 minutes between starting washes or the bathrooms flood. I liked the view and the location as well as some of the other long term people, however it did not balance out the negative for us. We camped at Carter Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice, very friendly park with many long-term campers. We usually stay by the month, so don't know the nightly rate. It is an old park, so the sites are on the small side, but adequate. There are few 50A sites, but the power is very stable. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Carter Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

There are multiple campgrounds around Carter Lake. I stayed 1 night at the Eagle CG at the north end but had zero Verizon service even with a booster. Sites in Eagle can be challenging to get your rig level. I need 3 levels of leveling blocks and still wasn't quite level. Moved to the South Shore CG. I found a few sites where I could get a couple of bars of LTE on Verizon but only with a Wilson 4G booster. S27 and the adjacent sites had a signal. Park was busy on Sunday but pretty quite for the next 3 days. We camped at Carter Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a small, clean, older park. The manager is very friendly and helpful. The park has many long-term residents, but the sites are kept clean and neat. There were many dogs, but they were very quiet. Carter Valley road is very busy starting at about 5:00AM, so lots of traffic noise. The sites are narrow, but level as in most older parks. Power is adequate, and some sites have 50A. The nightly fee reflects the monthly rate of $415/month including electric. We camped at Carter Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Campground was OK. Sites were very close together. Slides were almost touching. Very little space to park tow. On the plus side, this CG is not far from Estes Park and RMNP. Sites are level. We would stay here as again as a last resort. We camped at Carter Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

We moved here after a bad experience at another Loveland Park and were so happy to find such a lovely little campground to spend a few days. Linda - the owner - was extremely friendly and accommodating and there is a little store attached to the office if you need to replenish some basics. The park is small and sites aren't huge, but there is plenty of room for big rigs to maneuver. There is a nice view of mountains and horse ranch with plenty of grassy area for walking pets, no trains and quiet road so it was extremely quiet at night. Roads and sites are gravel, but they are big stones so there wasn't much dust at all, and picnic tables with shade trees were provided at most sites. Wi-Fi was a little slow, but faster than our data card. There were what looked like some seasonal residents, but they were all quiet and neat - one site looked really nice! So they weren't a detractor at all. We planned on staying one night, but because it was so quiet, friendly and pretty, we ended up staying 4 nights and hated to leave. We camped at Carter Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

This was a campground just off Hwy 34 on the route to Rocky Mountains National Park. We intended to stay in Estes Park, but after driving up there later, we were glad we stopped sooner. The roads past this campground become much curvier and are somewhat of a challenge if you are tired of driving as we were. Estes Park is a touristy town and the streets are a little narrow. Apparently there are plenty of campgrounds up there tho. Carter Lake was plenty adequate, some sites not level. Looked to be more seasonal than permanent parties here, but it didn't detract. We were so tired we didn't even ask about Wi-Fi, but I saw someone using a laptop, so it's possible they had it. There's a little "store" inside the office to pick up some necessities. We camped at Carter Valley Campground in a Motorhome.
