We paid $26.50 per night when reserved. When we arrived we learned that we needed a Larimer County Access pass to camp. Rates are $6 per night, $80 yearly, or as we did, bought a senior rate yearly pass for $35. So our 6 day stay cost was $32 per night. Site # F18 was right on the water and is large and scenic. Electric only. There is no water, sewer, and no dump. Showers are available at Carter Lake CG 5 miles away for $2.00 for 6 minutes. They have a token machine that is cash only. No Verizon service available for our phone or data. The site and view were nice, but the lack of amenities lowered our rating. We camped at Flatiron Reservoir in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground that is fairly quiet compared to its Larimer County neighboring campgrounds (Carter, Horsetooth). Most of the noise comes from the many geese that call this home, and there is some road noise from the nearby highway. Elk and deer are usually fairly numerous here as well. Cell/TV reception is minimal. In early or late season it's very likely you'll have this entire campground to yourself. The dump station is the one on the other side of Carter Lake, so it's an even further drive to get to. Fishing is about the only activity allowed on the reservoir, and the fish do often jump out of the lake. We camped at Flatiron Reservoir in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here last year during Labor Day weekend and really enjoyed the campground. As stated previously, since it is close to Loveland, the local folks like to come here during holiday weekends and use the campground's picnic facilities. However, at our campsite which was located right in front of the lake, this did not bother us. Some campsites are larger than others but all have very nice tables and fire rings. I have to say the vaulted toilets should've been kept cleaner! All in all: we really enjoyed this campground and have made 2 more reservations for this coming summer to stay here. We camped at Flatiron Reservoir in a Tent Trailer.

This is part of Larimer County Parks, so online reservations are available. We had a pull through spot that overlooked the lake. The spot was level with a nice table and fire ring. Unfortunately, since it is a public park, you get people who aren't concerned with personal space. We had a constant stream of kids walking through our camp, and one family set their chairs down and tied their dogs up directly in front of our spot. The spots on either side of us were empty. There was some noise in the late night, but not too bad. We saw large herds of elk from our site, so that was a treat to watch them cross the hillside. We will return. We camped at Flatiron Reservoir in a Travel Trailer.

We utilized the online reservation system, which is a good idea - this easy-going, pleasant but not fancy park is popular with the locals due to its easy access. We found our own way to our numbered site. The host was never in evidence this weekend. Our pull-through site was fairly level, dirt and gravel, electric only, had some shade, a permanent grill and its own picnic shelter with roof. Our site close to the bathroom resulted in a lot of foot traffic by us. There is also a lot of auto traffic as many drive to the bathroom, and sites are quite close to the road, so be prepared for dust and noise. The bathroom facilities are small for the volume of use and therefore run out of toilet paper and are not very clean. No showers. Thank goodness for having our own facilities in the MH. Fresh water only in the frost free taps by the bathroom and a couple other spots in the campground, or at entrance to county park. Most people's dogs are well-behaved, but not the ones tied out in the sun by some tent campers. There is lots of fishing in the stocked lake. Verizon signal very iffy, and we could get one local TV station on our batwing due to the surrounding high hills. Free dump on the way out by the ranger station. Cost is daily site rate plus daily county park pass entrance fee per vehicle. We have camped here before and will again due to the convenience of close location. We camped at Flatiron Reservoir in a Motorhome.
