The location of this park was great for visiting Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. Hwy 34 between Loveland and Estes Park has been closed for several years and just re-opened about a month ago and the drive between the RV park and Estes Park is quite beautiful. The park was dry and dusty and appeared unkempt. However, it really wasn't unkempt - just had that look because of weeds, drying out yards, etc. The cottonwood trees were 'shedding' and the ground was not only covered with dry dust but also white cotton. It often looked like it was snowing. Someone took us to our site and directed my husband into the back-in site we had (42). He did an excellent job. Utilities were fine and WiFi worked okay. We would go back but I really hope they get some rain. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is easy to get to and easy to get around in. All roads are dirt so lots of dust but they do have a water truck running during the day which helped a lot. All utilities worked will and Wi-Fi was average for a campground. It is on the river and some campers were fishing. They had a musical jam the weekend we were there and they were very good. Staff in office was very helpful and friendly. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Pull thru sites are big in length but electric/sewer are every other lot so neighbors are close. WiFi good, satellite friendly, did not use cable. All roads are dirt so there is some dust, but not any worse than others with dirt roads. North of Estes and Rocky Mountain Nat. Park with a 22 mile/40 minute scenic drive. This campground is much more efficient than other reviews have suggested in my opinion. Fifty amp service, we have a 40' bus and ran two AC's much of the time with no issues. Water pressure was fine however we filled and used on board pressure pump. We've been out for 4 months and the last two in WY., UT., MT., and CO. We are satisfied, good bang for the buck. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is old and needs maintenance, the roads in the park are all dirt and anyone driving on them leaves a large dust cloud. The site we stayed in is very close to the neighbor, both their door and ours open on the same side and their picnic table is about 5' from our door. The fire ring is also about 5' from our rig. There is 50amp power but it is very weak. Started out at 115 volts on each leg and dropped when using power in the coach. So far it has not tripped my EMS. We definitely would look for another park to stay in if we return to this area. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This RV park is on the Big Thompson River which makes it very nice. The staff is polite and very helpful. However, the positive stops here. This is a dust bowl. We parked our RV and vehicle under large cotton wood trees. They put out much sap throughout the day. With all the dust in the RV park your wash job might last 3 days, then its back to being dirty again. The wifi is not the best. If you're on T-Mobile forget about getting any connection. You must go about 7 or 8 miles east to get a connection.

Finally, the water pressure is inconsistent. One day it'll be normal, the next day it'll be zero. I spoke to my next door neighbor who's been camping at Riverview for 14 years, and she said they have always had problems with water pressure. I found out they are on a cistern and their pressure is usually low. We stayed here throughout June 2017. I would only stay here again as a last resort, no pun intended. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the most beautiful settings one can camp in. We had a forested view with no satellite antenna obstructions on the back end of the park. Great site, easy to get around, Big Thompson River roaring as you get near at about 400 CFS most days. The only downside is very little good hiking nearby. Best of it Rocky MOuntain National Park area but you have to travel to and through Estes Park and just not worth it - especially with all the road re-building going on. Delightful livable city with just too much traffic. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Classic example of looking better on the Internet than it is in real life. I would explore other options. Lots of "full timers" who live here. Their sites are littered with garbage and look terrible. The sites that aren't booked full time left for those of us who actually are "campers" are only the less than desirable sites. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The least favorite RV park we have ever stayed at. Its not an RV park, its a trailer park where a few RVs happen to camp at.

In nearly 6 years of full time RVing this is the worst RV Park we have stayed in. I don't usually write a bad review because I try to see both sides of the situation. Upon arrival we noticed low water pressure. I inquired at the office and was told they were on a cistern and we just had to wait for it to fill. We opted to operate off of our onboard system and fill it in the off hours. During the hot and crowded weekend low voltage tripped my EMS. The park's excuse was that we were the last site on the line and there was nothing they could do. No one else in the park seemed to be having any problems. On the morning before we were to leave we woke up to no water at all. Again an inquiry at the office produced the response about the cistern. Two hours later there is still no water and through an inquiry to a passing park employee we learned that he had been instructed to stop watering the grass because some guests didn't have water. Some guests implies that others did have water. So much for the cistern theory. By noon it was obvious that we were not going to get our water back so, we opted to leave a day early. We are now 260 miles down the road and everything is back to normal. At a rate that works out to nearly $50/day there is no way that this should have happened. Every excuse for the lack of water and poor electricity was delivered with a smile but, without empathy. There was no offer to move us to a working site even though it was midweek and there were plenty available. This is an old park in an obvious state of decline. The cable doesn't work and Wifi is nearly nonexistent. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Be careful entering and exiting this park. You must cross a bridge over the Big Thompson River that is only wide enough for one vehicle at a time. Justine's Pizza in Loveland has great pizza.

We have stayed here several times mainly because it is in the location we want. It is way too much money for what is there. The park has become very run down with several permanent residents. We used our half-price Passport America and still paid $48 a night. They won't take a reservation for PA so you just have to drive up. Then there are only certain PA sites that might be available. I would only stay here on the nights PA is available. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed here a week and used Passport America for some of that. Really good deal. Located next to the River and they have River access and directly on it. Small water but cool. Lower set camp ground and a long way from the highway off route 34. You have to go thru town a ways to get here. There are others along the way. There is absolutely no verizon cell coverage. The wifi wasn;t bad but would not count on it. There is a small play ground and on the route to Estes Park. Nothing special but cheap and cheerful. Conveniently located for seeing the national park and going into Loveland and Fort Collins. It was quiet but we we left Saturday morning so didn't experience the weekend. Staff is very nice. Sites are unevenly spaced because of the big trees so we were much too close to the neighbor on our only side with windows. Biggest negative is the horrendous amount of dust. Roads and sites need tons more gravel. Roads could be watered to keep the dust down. Cable didn't work but we got good over-air reception. Wifi was good on one of our laptops but not on the other. Verizon hotspot worked fine but had zero cell phone service. Had to drive into town to use the phone. Laundry was out of order for our whole stay. When we arrived they wanted to charge us $30 more than our two confirmation emails said we owed. They said we were quoted the wrong amount but it was finally worked out when another check-in person got involved. We would consider staying again except for the dust. Maybe that's the way everything is in this area but we found it very unpleasant. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is dirty. The road surfaces are dirt, and every time a vehicle comes or goes it kicks up a major dust storm. Sites were short and rather narrow but we were able to use both slides and awning. Roads and sites were sand/gravel but level and in fairly good condition. Interior roads and sites are level dirt with gravel. Many of the pull-through sites are side by side. Sites are close together but generously wide roads make maneuverability easy. Many mature trees provide a lot of shade. Electric and sewer were good, water pressure was low, wi-fi was frequently slow but functional, cable was basic but worked well, AT&T phones worked but there was no data service. The restrooms were clean, the laundry was worn but clean. Many sites are permanent and a lot of those are old, sprawling and unkempt. Office hours are rather limited but the staff was friendly and helpful. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is on the Big Thompson River about 4 miles out of metropolitan area so it was nice and quiet. Landscape of park is basically all gravel. I wouldn't call it a parking lot because sites are laid out through the trees, etc. Some FHU sites back onto the river.

We booked online on their site and had to pay up front for both nights - not ideal. Most times when we have booked a park online, we've been charged for one(1) night as deposit.

When I checked in, I was assigned a site in the trees. I said that I had specifically picked the on-line option for a river site. The check-in clerk said he had no control over who got put where. I said I had selected the river site option, so what's the deal!? After a little effort, I was given a site backing onto the river.

The check-in person seemed to "turn-off" after I asked for a river site and he had to scramble to find me one. Not unfriendly, but not apologetic either. I would have appreciated a bit more customer service.

Wifi was typical of most parks when it's busy.

I don't think I would stay here again. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rocky Mountain National Park - don't miss it! Take a tour with Rocky Mountain Rush Tours (www.rockymountainrush.com) - all seats face forward unlike some of their competitors. Absolutely the only way to see RMNP. Excellent, excellent, excellent!!!!

Estes Park is a neat place to explore - farmer's market was "on" the morning we left on our tour - all sorts of stuff available.
