We stayed 2 nights here. It's a nice, quiet park. We lucked out and got a spot at the end of a row, so we had a fire pit and grass. Most sites did not have fire pits due to the proximity of the trailers. Lots of amenities including a pool and hot tubs. We had a good Verizon signal here. We were in the area up front that has some good trees. There is another area further back with no trees. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed 10 days in this park. The park's owners were very friendly and accommodating. They have good pull thru sites and were spacious enough to know your neighbor but not feel to crowded. The internet access was not good. We tried going closer to the office to see if we got better access but that did not work either. The closest good internet access was 8 miles away at San Juan Coffee shop in Cortez. Overall we had a great experience and the park was close enough to take day trips to Moab, UT Arches National park, Durango and Telluride. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mesa Verde is right across the highway, Telluride is a good day trip, Dolores is just a few miles away, Cortez is only 8 miles and has a great grocery-City Market, beautiful parks for walking dogs or just relaxing, Durango is about 35 miles away and Arches National Park in Moab,Ut is a good day trip. Lots to do in this area.

We stayed 4 nights in the three of the four cabins available on the premises. The camp has nice amenities including pools, hot tubs, showers and store. There is a dog park, but it is mostly weeds and stinging nettles. There is a 10 o'clock quiet time which includes not sitting in front of your cabin talking. If you have no children and simply want to have a place to sleep, this site is acceptable. If you want to have some fun family time and campfire activities, this is not the place. This is not a family friendly RV park. The owners are very new and inexperienced (only been in charge for 5 days). Perhaps the customer service aspect will improve with time. At the moment they seem a bit tense and testy and are rushing around assuring that water is not splashed out of the pool and that no one talks too loud. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Cabin.

Tips for other Campers:

Cortez and Mancos are about 7 miles either side of the RV park. Shopping opportunities are readily available. Park is at the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park.

It is a quiet campground. only one minute from Mesa Verde NP. Beautiful mountain views, gravel paths and everything is clean. There is a pool and 2 spas. Clubhouse with pool table, TV, small kitchen. Some cabins for rent. The new owners are friendly. There is no cable TV, only antenna TV, but very good. Only point of criticism: The WiFi is very very slow. If more than 2 people at the same time on the internet, then it collapses. Best signal is between 1 am and 6 am. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Next Walmart or Saveway is in Cortez, 9 miles away

Nice, quiet Park on frontage road, across Hwy 160 from Mesa Verde entrance. Level, gravel, pull-through sites with great views. Good TV reception and working WiFi. Washer/dryers were outside, but clean & in working order. Large, fenced dog run, plus plenty of "grassy areas" to walk them. Friendly, new Owners are renaming this park "Ancient Cedars @ Mesa Verde RV Resort." We would stay here again. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Giving it a 9 only because many of the sites are not as level as some would like. Other than that, its excellent. For 5 dollars more per night than dry camping inside Mesa Verde NP, you don't have to drag your trailer up that first 10 mile stretch of twisty road, AND you get water and electric, wifi, a swimming pool, hot tub, hot showers, laundromat, puttputt golf, a game room, and a playground for the kids. Really great for families. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Don't believe the hype!! Upon check-in we were told we had to disconnect our water by 9pm each night (due to freezing temps). The Wi-Fi was terrible and basically useless. When we went to do some laundry at about 8pm the "24 Hour" washing machines were all disconnected. When I inquired with the owner he stated that they were unhooked for the night (the laundry is outdoor) and I could come back in the morning. Completely uncaring that I was inconvenienced and that they don't actually offer what they advertise. Luckily we found a nice laundromat in town. Also, the "24 Hour" restrooms are closed for 2 hours everyday for cleaning. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

When you pull into this RV Park, you can't see the sites and you wonder what this park will be like, but we really enjoyed our secluded site. It wasn't a real busy time when we came. It was very quiet. Pretty setting, horses nearby, and very close to the Mesa Verde Nat Park. Sites were level, gravel, hook ups in perfect spots, and Wi-Fi worked (little slow). Nothing real fancy, but we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park right across from entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. Very friendly and quiet park; owners were great. We had a family reunion here using 9 sites/cabins; owners worked well with us to make sure we had what we needed. Very clean park and bath house. Pool and hot tub kept very clean; mini golf available also. Full hook up, pull-through sites on gravel; little shade but other sites were shaded. Cortez is nearby. We would come back if in the area. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wonderful little campground with two areas, lower shaded and upper with a view and breezes. Stayed four days while visiting Mesa Verde. Great hosts and a good value. Would stay there again. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly owners, quiet and clean. It is a great location when going to Mesa Verde and close to Cortez. Rained a lot while we were on site but it drained well. Site was level, and water pressure adequate. Has pool (not opened yet) and miniature golf course that looked fun. Would come back. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is the best park in the area. Mostly a large gravel lot with a few trees. The best sites are the 3 premium back ins (sites 4, 5, 6), The pull through sites are very long but are just a gravel area with a small fence on each side (NO shade). The owners are great and the facilities are clean. The office, laundry, restrooms and showers are very good. The pool and hot tub are good. We would stay here again in our 40 foot motor home We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Went whizzing by here on my way to another RV park and liked this one so much I turned around. Glad I did. Staff is the absolute best. Facilities are spotless as are the grounds. Some sites have mature shade trees. Road noise is minimal. Wi-fi is strong and Internet is fast. WILL stay here again on my next trip through. This park is located right across the road from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. The sites are gravel but level. There are shady areas but the area we were in was not shady. Wi-Fi was available but our site had poor strength to none. It was very strong at the pool and laundry. The laundry was located outside the office on a covered patio, but the machines were in good condition. Cable was not available. We would stay here again. Best park in area for visiting Mesa Verde. Has pool, miniature golf course, hot tubs and 2 playgrounds, rec room with pool table. It is an older independently owned park so it doesn't look like the slick chain parks but it doesn't cost as much either and is more convenient. Had good Internet connection, however, people in the back section had problems with Internet. This park has excellent tent sites--shaded and private. Much better than the tent sites inside the national park. I certainly would stay here again!!! We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
