We stayed in a the large pull through that could accommodate very large rigs (80 feet plus) with tow. They were terraced up a hillside, gravel, and very level. Several people were leaving the day we arrived after being there for several months. The sites down the hill were shaded and ample size as well. The park provided community grill site with heat units, two hot tubs, and a nice pool area. A small convenience store was on site. Wi Fi was being worked on when we were there. This park is 1/4 mile from the Visitor Center of Mesa Verde. The two towns on either side provide nice places to eat and shop. The park sits on a busy road and road noise can be heard, although it did not hinder our activities. This park was very clean. We will return. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Pepperhead was an excellent place to eat in Cortez.

Pretty remote park. Closest town of any size is Cortez about 6 miles away. There really isn't anything in the town of Mancos. The bathrooms are NEW and VERY nice for an RV park. The biggest problem was the noise from any vehicles driving on the base rock surface that covers the entire park. No vehicles driving around, then it's nice and quiet. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 4 days in October. Staff was very nice. We were put in the back next to a large open area very suitable for exercising our dog. Sites are large, clean and seem to be level. We had a great time there being only 1 mile from the Mesa Verde visitor center, 6 miles from Cortez and 7 miles from Mancos. Near the end of our stay I tried to get morning news on the over air TV, but being between several shade trees we could only get one channel. If TV is important to you I would discuss it with the staff before you setup. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Mesa Verde is the big draw in the area, but there are numerous archaeological sites, museums and galleries in the area. It's only 50 miles from the 4 corners, where New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Arizona meet.

First of all, if you are going to Mesa Verde NP, there's not a more convenient place to stay. The RV Park is within a mile of the entrance and the Visitor's Center (just across the highway). The sites are nice and the staff is fantastic!! The WiFi is OK, but not great, but, that being said, we were able to watch our college football live, streaming on ESPN 3. We've stayed lots of places. This is one of the more enjoyable for us!! We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Cortez is 9 miles away. It has a Walmart and a Safeway.

This is the best location to visit Mesa Verde, and convenient to Anasazi and the town of Cortez for shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful, nice clean laundry facility. We were disappointed that the hot tub was out of service, but the sites were well spaced for slides and utilities worked well.

There was no fenced in dog park, but plenty of room for the dog to run in the back of the park. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

It's all gravel and no concrete pads. Places to walk dogs had bad thistles. WIFI IS "ify" depending on how full the park is and what kind of RV is parked next to you blocking signal. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cleanest and nicest restrooms we have seen in the past 8 months. Very close to Mesa Verde National Park. Great staff and nice campers. Kinda full, so we got a site with water and electric, no sewer. Some sites in the bottom section have lots of shade. Those on the upper section have no trees, but are for longer rigs and all these have full hookups. We had a tree on the north side of the site and had no problems with sat tv. Did I mention, clean restrooms and great staff? Stay here and you won't be disappointed. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Make reservations fills up fast during summer months.

This park has nice facilities - pool, hot tubs, and barbeque area. Roads and pads are gravel; there was no grass near the parking spaces. Water and power were fine. I parked at the front of the complex to try and get a good WIFI signal; it was adequate for downloading email, etc., but trying to watch a video was an exercise in frustration. However, the road noise in the front of the park was irritating; the highway between Durango and Cortez carries a lot of traffic. All in all, the park was okay but nothing special. The fee listed was based on a weekly rate. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Mesa Verde National Park is nearby and worth a visit. But, also consider taking a 1/2 or a full day tour of ruins on the Ute Mountain Tribal Park. They are conducted by people living on the reservation.

Our Site was extremely difficult to get pulled into. It was a pull-through, but required a very tight turn to pull into. Had to disconnect the toad to be able to pull in. The office closes at 4pm. Most travelers will need to check in the following morning. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is a pretty setting and very well kept up. It is all gravel in the main part of the park & they even dragged it out to smooth it every day - however, quite a dust storm! The sites were, for the most part, a disaster as to hookups. Ours sloped worse on the back so he told me to park to the front with the 5er. I glanced at the hookups and saw w & e midway & slides had room. Dropped the trailer but still and downslope and two blocks under the wheels to level. Find out the sewer connection is all the way to the back of the site! Choice was to re-hook & move back or use their showers...chose the latter. Some sites had hookups with part on one side of rig & part on another. Our neighbor's water connection was way over on our site almost to our slide, his elec midway and his sewer all the way to the back. Looking around, all the sites had hookup issues so be careful. And some sites tight and tight to get in to. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

They are very, very close to Mesa Verde N P which is probably their main source of customers.

We stayed here while visiting Mesa Verde National Park. The campground is perfectly located, about a mile from the Park entrance. The site was gravel, a little unlevel, and a bit short. The sewer hookup was about 6 inches above the ground, which seems a bit high. The staff were all great and the kids loved the heated pool. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. We'll definitely stay here again, next time we visit Mesa Verde National Park. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

You definately want to take the Ranger led tours in the Park, drive over early and purchase your tickets so that you will have your pick of times. The kids loved Balcony House, but Long House was my favorite tour.

They are sited in a beautiful small bowl just outside Mesa Verde NP. We stayed in a terraced premium site, very level, long and wide. This is one squared-away campground. Big (acres!) dog area behind sites. All utilities worked fine for us, except Wi-Fi was hit-or-miss in the evening (with park 3/4 full). There's a little traffic noise, but not too much. Lower sites still seemed to accommodate 40 ft. RVs, and they are shaded. Not all however are level. AT&T cell coverage was 4G but low signal. They offer a discount to veterans. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A couple restaurants and fuel in Mancos, 10 minutes away. Walmart, City Market, and more restaurants in Cortez, 20 minutes away.

Nice campground just a short drive from entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. We had 30 amp service which was good, as was water hookup. We did not like our site as it was very muddy, so they moved us. Nice and very clean heated pool and spa. The restrooms and showers were updated and clean, as was the laundry room. Very pleasant office staff. We could not get the free WIFI to work effectively. We could not get our Verizon Mifi to work. We did get many over the air TV stations. This would be a higher rating if the roads or sites were paved. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

I feel like we got the best site in the corner of the park (they warned it was the closest to the road and could be noisy, but there's no traffic in the evening on the hwy, so it was fine). Being less than a mile from the entrance to Mesa Verde Nat'l Park was the best - it's a long drive to/from the cliff dwellings as it is. The showers were immaculate. The camp store had some nice snacks and drinks affordably priced, with a free video library and popcorn machine so you can enjoy a nice movie night in the evenings. Laundry facilities were great with a wash basin as well. The sites themselves seem pretty close together (I deduct a star for that), and the entire grounds is sloped so it will be hard to get a level site other than the big-rig pull-thrus they have in back. Expect to use your levelers. The 2nd star was deducted due to the slow unreliable wifi and also there's no Verizon LTE data coverage here. You can get LTE as soon as you hit the Mesa Verde Visitor Center or drive past the park exit toward Cortez. 3G data for our mifi was still pretty slow. If they could upgrade their wifi, I'd give them a star back. All their other amenities were pretty impressive: propane refills, hot tub, community fire pit, and gas grills. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Walmart and Safeway 8 miles as soon as you enter Cortez for your groceries.

Location for visiting four corners area and especially Mesa Verde NP is excellent! The spaces are graveled, some terraced, most spacious but all get highway noise! Escorted hurriedly to site, water pressure fair, electric excellent, picnic table each site, big rig easy, and overall good! We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

35 miles to Durango, 1/2 mile to Mesa Verde NP which needs 2 days minimum, Cortez is 8 miles for good shopping!
