The good: very helpful and pleasant staff. Very clean campground and restrooms. Wonderful area for dogs to exercise, plus plenty of room to walk around the campground. Less than a mile to Mesa Verde National Park, and 45 minutes from Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The not so good: Back-in premium site #5. Pretty tight with trees on both sides of the site - took a few tries to line up to allow slides out and avoid tree branches. You can see where previous campers have nudged the trees and taken some bark off. Staff should also trim up trees a bit. Moderate road noise at this site, especially trucks using jake brakes. If I stay here again, I'll ask for one of the pull-throughs that are farther away from the road and have clear satellite views. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for about a week to do Mesa Verde and other activities nearby. Nice park and we stayed in the upper level so I can only review this area. There is a lower level so am not sure about any review of that area. Our space #8 was level, big, pull through site with mountains in the background that we could see outside of our trailer. Staff is helpful, used the bathrooms and the showers and they are super clean and well maintained. Wifi was for the most part very good as least in our area, but no shade. There is a pool and a hot tub but we did not use them although they looked nice. Very quiet park. I would highly recommend this RV Park without hesitation. Only thing I might request would be to have a different site than ours. One side faced another RV and the other side faced a home (owner's residence) so our view was the home. There was no problem just my personal preference. I think I would have liked any of the sites 9-13. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed in a long pull-through site (up the hill to the left). Site was level and almost twice as long as needed. A well-maintained and mostly quiet park. Lots of families. Large dog-walking area and small pond at rear of park. Very close to Mesa Verde NP. Utilities fine except that WIFI was intermittent even at un-busy times of day. The front office admitted to having "server problems". Pool and h0t tubs were full of kids. As another reviewer commented, some tree branches are low over interior roads so be alert to that when navigating. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Anasazi museum in Delores is a fine place to visit on a rainy afternoon. Nearby Delores has an excellent Mexican restaurant - Montezuma Mexican. We boarded our dog overnight at Cortez Animal Bed and Breakfast with no problems. Both Cliff Palace and Long House are excellent cliff dwelling tours in Mesa Verde NP, but tickets are limited... can be purchased up to two days in advance at visitor center or at info center in Cortez.

We did enjoy our stay at this park, using it as a home base to explore Mesa Verde and the surrounding area. The sites are gravel, running from level to requiring significant leveling. Utilities worked well, placement on some sites make connection difficult (especially site #19). Good spacing between sites although many of the picnic tables are permanently situated next to the adjacent site which means you picnic under your neighbor's slide out. Very nice laundry room with ample washers and dryers. The park is well kept (one glaring issue on sewer), mature trees throughout (poor satellite reception) except for the very long 50 amp pull through sites. Wifi is poor, sporadic at best. Cell service (verizon) minimal, though our hotspot worked better than the park's wifi. My main concern is their sewer treatment facility. It appears the septic tank effluent is percolating up through numerous areas near the dog walk and pond areas (assuming the ponds are for treatment of the effluent) and running down to the ponds. Asked an employee about this and they said it's okay, it's not black water. So, all in all loved the park but will not return until their treatment system is cleaned up. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is clean, well kept (except for one item noted below), convenient to Durango and Mesa Verde and Cortez. The pool is clean and heated. they have 2 hot tubs although they are mostly filled with kids most of the time (at least when I went). Staff is very friendly and helpful. So why an average rating... 2 items..... 1) No usable WiFi. Yes, they have WiFi. No, it isn't actually usable for accessing the internet. Their info even states it may be slow when the park is busy. Well, the park is almost always busy because it is the nicest in the area; so..... no usable WiFi. I never could stay online on their network. Oh - if you're an AT&T customer forget about any throughput on their network too. 2) There are beautiful tress providing lots of shade. But they are not trimmed high enough in parts of the park to pass through in an average 12 foot RV without scraping the limbs. They can use a bit of trimming to get them higher and they wouldn't sacrifice shade. We'd stay again on a short term basis, but if staying longer would sacrifice location for WiFi and cell signal. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The is a nice park near Mesa Verde National Forest. A great choice in the area. With the exception of a tight spot near the entrance, the rest of the park is ok. Our pull thru site was plenty long enough for our 40' fifth wheel and dually with room to spare. Sites are gravel and are level. We really enjoyed our stay. We were on top of the hill on the west side of the park. Our space was a back-in and very large. It was level and could receive satellite signal. There were a huge number of OTA channels that we received. OUR FRiends were in the pull thru sites which were very long and level.

The hookups were conveniently located, although the water was a bit hard to hook up due to position of the spigot.

There is a pool, however it was closed for the season. There is an area with picnic tables, barbecues to use and propane fire pits, which is a nice feature that most parks do not have.

The office staff was very courteous and helpful. Led us to our site.

This is a very nice park in a great location for visiting Mesa Verde. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This, as we've often seen, is an RV park with two personalities. The lower section consists of tight, narrow roads with tight, narrow, shady sites. The upper, tiered sites are huge, 120 feet long, very wide, nice picket fences separating the sites and a wide open, sunny view of the surrounding hills. These are the premium pull thru sites. Much nicer, less shade, more expensive. The entrance area is a bit tight but not too bad. Staff is friendly and helpful. The host will lead you to your site. The entire RV park is gravel, from the roads to the sites to the patio areas. The sites are level. The utilities worked fine, but we had an issue our first night. The water line froze. Never been in freezing conditions before and didn't realize the RV park had electric heat tape on the elevated water tap. Problem was, it wasn't plugged in and we didn't know better. Live and learn. Would help to keep it plugged in or advise guests on check in to monitor weather and plug in as necessary. Water pressure was o.k. No cable but great over the air. Satellite reception iffy in lower section, great in upper section. We had no problems with WiFI, worked well for us. The restrooms were great. Moen, American Standard and Kohler fixtures, spacious toilets and showers, ceramic tile from floor to ceiling and really hot water. Nice pet area with pond. Great location just one half mile from turn off to Mesa Verde National Park. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

One our favorite places we've ever stayed. The park, outside and inside all buildings, is spotless and neat as a pin. The staff is so very friendly and helpful. They have toys, board games, and DVDs that you can rent for free! There's a pond, heated pool, two hot tubs, fire pits, shaded sites, propane refill, full hookups, 50 amp service, horseshoe pit, playground and a beautiful view of Mesa Verde. This is the place to stay when you come to four corners and Mesa Verde! We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a little further away from Cortez, CO, then Mancos, but in Cortez there's a huge WalMart and other businesses for eating, shopping, service, etc. All easy to get to. This RV park is an easy drive to Mesa Verde National Park.
