Pull through site, under trees and about 100 ft. to the river. All utilities worked well. Spacious site with fire pit and table. Dirt and gravel road, lots of grass. Park was clean with grass mowed and fire pits clean. Wife fished and we had trout for dinner. This is one of our favorite rv parks. Not as nice as some, but everything we like. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Short drive to town, some shopping and a few places to eat. About an hour either north or south will take you to either Craig or Rifle. Both with much better shopping. Mexican House restaurant was surprisingly good.

Stopped here for a few days and just missed the Sheep dog trials that happened over the weekend. That would have been cool!. This park is on the White River which was pretty low and warm at our visit. They were asking you not to fish after 2 pm in the afternoon to avoid stressing the trout. The sites were long, gravel, and spacious. We had site 14 on the outside ring and had lots of room with a firepit and picnic table. Turkeys were in the field just behind us. Elk hunting season was in full swing so the woods had lots of hunters. Great WIFI which had been upgraded so that is always a plus! Meeker is small American town with lots of history. We spent our day cruising the Flat Tops Trail scenic and historic byway up to Trapper Lake and it was a beautiful fall day with lots of Aspen colors in the high altitudes. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ma Famiglia Italian restaurant in town was great. We enjoyed the small town family owned place and had lots of leftovers to enjoy the next day.

We had a very spacious back in site near a curve in the White River. Very relaxing and quiet place to spend a couple of days. Not a lot around though. No OTA TV and Verizon broadband was barely usable at 3G. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Chippers on 6th Street is pretty much the only option for a cold one. Good friendly local people there. Take a scenic ride out on route 8 into the national forest.

NOTE: Map location is wrong!! Park entrance is about 1/2 mile SW of the pin. From Kum & Go (gas station), go south on SR 13 and take a right immediately at the end of the bridge over White River. Correct GPS coords is: 40.019761, -107.964401 A nice, pleasant, reasonably-priced, no-frills spot to spend a night or a week. Mature cottonwoods give plenty of shade for some sites; others are in the open. My site was dead-level. I would stay here again. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Motorhome.

Site almost level, full hookup, quiet, clean, good gravel roads and site. Mostly full of monthly rentals, folks working in the area over the summer. Owner is friendly. We had good Dish TV reception, very week Verizon internet signal. The park has weak wifi, but we weren't told about it and didn't try till second day. Sites are well spaced. Very big rig friendly. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here a week in the only pull through they have. Site large, level and utilities easy to access. The manager will take you to your site. Very nice. Dog friendly. On the White River. Nice view. Wifi spotty. No showers or bathrooms. Nothing fancy but a nice quiet park. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park seems to be for full timers or people who absolutely don't need a bathroom. There is 1 outhouse/pit toilet, no sinks, no showers. The river runs right by the park. The sites are crudely placed with gravel and kind of a haphazard layout. The person running the park was great and took us to our site in the dark! This park is fine for a quick nights stay if you have a camper with a bathroom. They do have power, sewer hookups and wifi. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed 2 nights. This RV Park is on the South end of town and we drove back to this one after checking out the one on the north end of town and finding it unsatisfactory. The resident camp host was very friendly and helpful. They have one nice long pull thru and it was open so we took it. We are 62 ft. long with motorhome and car trailer behind. There were several other sites large enough for us, but all back-ins. We had a nice view of the river thru our front window. Quiet, very little road noise. Would stay here again. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Two recent ex-tycoons from Goldman-Sachs own ranches in Meeker, so it must have something going for it.

The Meeker Cafe/Hotel in the old downtown area is a jewel, good food, interesting ambience and decor. It is like a museum in some respects. Teddy Roosevelt once stayed there on a hunting trip. If you visit Meeker, don't miss it.

We stayed here 2 weeks, parking right along the White River. It was a nice, quiet park. There were no showers or bathrooms but porta-johns were available for tent campers and there are full hook ups for RV's. The hosts/managers were friendly. We were scheduled to stay at another park but after visiting there, we drove to this park and were fortunate to find an available site. We would stay here again. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for 4 months while working in the Piceance Creek Area. Park was very clean, camper was on the banks of White River. It was nice to get off of work and fish for trout. Manager, is very friendly and helpful. Park is mostly long term rentals, but a few spots were open for overnight. No playground or swimming pool for the kids. Would recommend for a couple of nights or for workers in the Piceance Creek area. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
