Feb 2018 - $25.00
Stayed here in February, campground was full! Very nice, new facilities. Beware, restrooms are only open from 7 am to 8 pm during the winter. Lots of open space and hiking trails. Saw four coyotes and a bald eagle on our second day, which is kind of weird in an area surrounded by freeways. Make sure you ask for the WiFi password when you enter at the gate. - daveRTHayduke
Sep 2017 - $32.00
Beautiful park with kayaking, hiking, swimming, and nearby average for dogs to roam. Had a fantastic time here. Will be back. - Trailseeker
Aug 2017 - $31.00
A very nice urban campground. Decent asphalt access roads, a bit tight around the gatehouse for big rigs. Level, paved sites are generally widely spaced surrounded by low vegetation, grass, some trees. Some sites with lots of shade some with none. Level concrete pads, gravel patios, fire pit/barbie, picnic table. Miles of road bike trails within the park connecting to more miles outside the park. Around 1.5m walk to light rail station with frequent service to downtown. Power ok even under heavy load, water ok, sewer ok. Campground wifi good signal with mostly decent speeds. Verizon 2-3 bars with moderate to sluggish speed, TMobile was 4 bars with decent speed. Satellite access is site dependent. No recycle on site. We will stay here again. - SeaLandSkyPhoto

The park was very clean. The RV pull ins and surrounding area was clean and excellent. There was plenty of room between campsites. - sam bren
Nov 2017 - $24.00
Seems like a good deal at first (only $24 a night) but then they want to charge a day use for each vehicle or RV coming into the park. It is $8 per day per vehicle. (Motorhome and toad $16 a day. Fifth wheel and truck $8) We ended up buying annual Colorado passes for both vehicles since we were there 2 weeks. We have a 37 ft fifth wheel, and I believe we would have fit in any of the sites. They are all nice and long. Except for the A loop which seems more cramped. D loop is full hook up. C loop has nice views, but no sewer. Restrooms and laundry very nice. Keep in mind the brilliant state park system does not let you check in, or change sites until after 1pm. There will be a line forming at 1pm. An overflow lot is available if you get there early. Although the park is in town, allow 10 minutes to drive in/out of the park, its huge. - cherrytree
Oct 2017 - $28.00
First, the nightly rate does not include the daily park fee of $8 per day. This is one great park. It is immense and has lots of things to do such as hiking, biking, boating and even hot air ballooning (need to bring your own). Roads into and out of the park are very good and the roads inside the park are excellent. I would suggest that you review the park map as there are two entrances to the park and distances to the campgrounds vary. Also depending where you want to go outside the park will determine which park entrance you will want to use, so study up a little before going. The campground has 197 sites located in 4 loops. Of those 197 sites 146 have full hookups. Loops A and B have full hookup sites mixed in with water and electric sites. Loop C is electric only and Loop D, I believe the newest, is all full hookups with probably the largest sites. We choose Loop A to have full hookups and a water view. It was a pull through site with excellent hookups on a asphalt surface and a very nice concrete pad with picnic table and fire pit with grill facing the lake and nice trees and native grasses. All hook ups worked well and were nicely placed near mid trailer. Our Verizon hot spot worked well here and there were plenty of OTA TV channels to view. The only minor problem was at checkin where the line was quite long and only one very nice and efficient lady was handling all the arrivals. My hat off to her as she did not get flustered and handled everybody with a smile and in a very professional manor even though she was swamped. The park is a great location if you plan on seeing the so many places and things that the area has to offer. This will be our base location when we visit the Denver area again. - WOLFTRACKS

Jul 2013 - $17.00
We stayed in this park for 2 months and did enjoy our time there. There were some negative items, but will start with the positive. The creek was close by and a walking/biking trail close. The grass was maintained by the park and it was well shaded with mature trees. Shopping for anything you need is close by. The negatives: close to a busy highway, but that didn't bother us. Try to get a site away from the highway if you can. There were problems with sewer at times, but management promptly took care of that. The Denver area is extremely hard to find places to stay and so this was the best we found. Would stay again. People very friendly in the park. Price reflects monthly rate. Wi-Fi only available in the office. - happy travelers
Jun 2013 - $35.00
I stayed here for over a month. At first glance, this place looks shabby, and it has an inconvenient entrance/exit, but once you're there, you start to see it's actually a pretty decent place to stay. It's 20 min to downtown, about 45 min to Red Rocks and it butts up to Denver's amazing run/bike trail. - riding_on_air
Jul 2012 - $38.00
This is a former mobile home park. The park has lots of shade and level concrete pads to park on. The location is nice because it is next to the creek. However, the grounds could use some updating. I don't think anything has been updated here since it was first constructed 60 years ago. Price seemed a bit steep at $38. We were charged for four people even though we had only two adults and two children under two years old. Good Denver metro area location. Most people staying in the park are long-term residents. - je23dr13

One of the best FamCamps I've had the pleasure of using. This is attested to by the long lead time for reservations. You can not reserve more than 30 days in advance, wait to 29 or 28 and you likely won't get in.
The campground and spaces are spacious, clean and for a Military Base very quiet. Many pull through and back in sites, first come first served so arrive early on your reserved date to get the best sites. Most sites have sloped entrance / exit, but the pads are flat & level.
They have a long term issue with water in the campground so the normal $24 rate was reduced to $10. - OpaS

Feb 2018 - $40.00
Stayed here a couple times in last couple of years to visit family and take care of personal business ( we're full timers). Recently they changed their length of stay policy. Nothing available for stays a month or less, they prefer long term 4 months or more. But who knows office could change their mind again. Management is hard to understand sometimes! - oncemore
Aug 2017 - $50.00
Only game in town! We have stayed here several times and we will most likely continue. It is the best place to stay when visiting Denver. Really a mobile home community with a few RV spots. They put us in a really tight one this time and I had to crawl under the motor home to hook up the sewer. Big speed bumps! - krj89
Jul 2017 - $43.00
Emailed from their website about 2 weeks in advance (on a Saturday) and got a response on Monday. We were told in advance what space we'd have, and because we were staying not too far away, we rode our motorcycle down to check it out. Once we arrived, we got set up in our space and stayed for two weeks. The management was very pleasant and helpful. The park is tidy, with a clean shower/bathroom/laundry building. The location just south of Hampden is easy to get to, and even though it's close to that fairly busy highway, we weren't bothered by noise at all. We hope they have space for us to stay again when we're in town to visit family. We felt completely safe here, and people who live here were very friendly. - Denise and Glenn

The place is nothing but a big dog toilet, with rude hosts to make your stay even more miserable. Do yourself a favor a find somewhere else to stay. - Jonathan H
Sep 2017 - $49.00
Whilst not good, this was not the worst we have stayed in! You stay here due to the proximity to the city centre (7 miles) as there are no other parks around. We have friends who live 5 miles away so this was a very convenient location. VERY basic sites - water, electric, sewer. Our site was fairly wide pull-thru on a dirt surface. The people we dealt with were very nice and accommodating (had to get rid of wasps in power box!) NO wi-fi, NO cable but there are plenty of channels. $3 per wash!!! 25c per 5 mins for dryer! We stayed at the back end of the park where it was quite quiet even tho the light rail runs nearby. Reading other reviews, I think this park has been 'cleaned up' a lot with respect to permanents/security etc. Would stay here again if unable to get into State Park, (but just for convenience). - OzFrosty
Jul 2017 - $60.00
Worse experience with a campground yet. Came to work a job, I was told $320 over the phone, drove 1200 miles and when I arrived was told $400 a week, almost 1600 a month. Bathrooms and showers run down and nasty. No pool. No WiFi. No phone service. 3 sewer hook ups at every spot, none that fit normal camper hook up so sewer runs all over the ground and camper or 5 ft apart. Trashy park. Stayed 2 nights and decided to leave, couldn't have paid me enough to stay, she also refused to refund the money for remaining 5 nights even though we didn't stay. - DJN

Aug 2017 - $25.00
This park is truly a hidden gem! We never expected to have a campground in the city where you can't even see the city. This is a huge city park with lots and lots to do in it. They have horses, boat rentals, beach, lots of trails and biking. Electric only sites. Good cell coverage. The sites are HUGE. Easy to get to from C-470 There is a little noise from the C-470 traffic, but we didn't notice it inside. No shade. We would definitely stay here again. - jacknpeg
Jul 2017 - $25.00
Our site was very spacious and level. The road is paved and well maintained. It is an easy ride into Denver. 2600 acres just outside a big city -- great combination. The down side is if you have dogs, which we do. There isn't really any grass; it is brush, which is cut back for the sites. My dogs didn't like walking on it. There is also some foxtail around, which can be dangerous for a dog if it gets in its eye or nose, so you have to be careful. Still, it's a terrific value and we would definitely return. - Dapper

Aug 2006 - $31.00
I cannot believe this place. We reserved it because it is billed as the only RV Park in the city of Denver. We wanted to be close to downtown, so visit the mint, and museums. Although the park itself is reasonably clean, the neighborhood is horrible. I felt like I was staying in an inner city ghetto. Its on a major street, sirens constantly all night, and hookers walking the park! They actually knocked on our door and offered, well, you can figure that out! We didn't have a car, and when we walked a few blocks to a liquor store, we were approached by someone offering to sell us marijuana, and by a beggar. We had breakfast one morning at a nearby restaurant, where we met a local cop. From her, I learned that the owner of the RV Park also owns the run down, seedy motels and trailer houses surrounding it, and is uncooperative with law enforcement. Her comment was, "Why in the world is someone like you, staying at that dump?" Absolutely avoid this place at all costs. - Mallory

Good news: Close to Hyland Hill's Waterworld. Bad news: More squatters than RV'ers. Make sure you lock everything as it sounded like the police were busy enough in this area. - dpthdiver

A big disappointment given the lovely pictures on their website. The neighborhood is crime central. I witnessed the coke machine being stolen in the middle of the night. I will not return. - BobbieM

They were great to get us a space at the last minute. But I didn't like the way all the spaces are so secluded from each other...trees and shrubbery made us feel like we were in the mountains by ourselves. Some people might like that, but we enjoy socializing with our neighbors. All the spaces are scattered in the hillside, so that was nice, but we had no view because of the seclusion. - pattifab
Oct 2016 - $60.00
The park was satisfactory but had narrow roads with challenging inclines (I guess I should have expected that in Colorado). We were assigned a site on the front road of the park which was about 200 yards from I-25 (lots of trucks) and 100 yards from the railroad tracks (lots of trains day and night). The noise was constant 24/7. It may have been better further back in the park. On the plus side, the park was clean with level gravel sites. There were lots of kid activities while we were there. It was close to Halloween so there was a costume parade and other Halloween activities. Very kid friendly and fun, even though we didn't have any children with us (we're in our 70's). Except for the noise it was a good experience. Recommendation, reserve a spot further back from the train tracks and I-25. - Crose46
Jul 2016 - $60.00
Meh! I mean for the money they charge I just expect more. I spent $60.00 a night for an "electric deluxe site" I don't know what was deluxe about it, no sewer, no water and not level, plus we were in a section that seemed more like overflow camping then a part of the campground. The water was the main issue for me since I hadn't topped my fresh tank and didn't realize I didn't have water until I was completely set up. (Note to self; look at hookups first thing) they do have a hose at the check in station to use but as I said I didn't know this so I used the old 5 gallon jug to get water in it. My real beef with it is their website should have better information about site specific amenities. Like the fire ring we had but didn't know about until we got there, so instead of bringing our own wood we spent $6.50 a bundle for theirs. Overall upkeep of the park was marginal at best the ball pit was a sandbox, the pool was small and crowded and a relic. The field of dreams was an overgrown field. The swimming hole I liked but it too needed the sticker bushes around it taken out an a better way to get to the top of the slide. The staff was very friendly and helpful and my grandkids loved the activities but we weren't impressed. - Skirby

Casey's RV Hide-A-Way's street address is 4189 Highway 86, Elizabeth, CO 80107. If coming from the west, you will pass thru the town and the last traffic signal will be Hwy 86 and CR 17. The turn into the CG will be your second left, the first left is the day use section of Casey's Park. The entrance is paved for a few feet in, but due to fairly deep erosion it is a tight turn. The dump station is before you reach the CG loop, a somewhat long narrow tear shaped loop. Large rigs might have trouble making the full loop as it is a pretty tight turn back into the loop. Odd numbered sites on on the outside of the loop and the even numbered sites are in the loop. The electric and water are both good and up to date. This CG is in a rustic setting (you won't see or hear any mowers around here) and works for a few nights. Most units cannot dump and get back into the CG loop without leaving the Park or backing back in. Cell and TV were both good. - Bob and Inga
Sep 2014 - $30.00
This park is located in the outskirts of old town Elizabeth. There is only a P.O. box, no street address on the website for the park. Reservations can be made online at caseysrvhideaway.com. I called several times to try to find an address, but only received a call back once we had found our way to the park and gotten settled. Unfortunately, I don't recall the street address. Easy access for larger rigs. Entire park is dirt/gravel. Sites are of varying sizes, some back-ins, some pull-throughs. Nice spacing between sites and the park is laid out such that the sites are not all side by side. Electric and water at sites, dump station at entrance to park. There are no other amenities. Lots of trees in the park. Verizon data/cell service was good. There seemed to be a number of semi-permanents in the park, most of whom did not pick up after their pets. There is not a fenced dog area, but there's plenty of space within the park and adjacent areas for walking pets. Deer visited the park daily. We would stay again if passing through the area. - Guinness
Jul 2013 - $30.00
As others have mentioned, the park is quiet, clean and shady. And, as mentioned, there are no facilities in the park. I rated this park 5 for the lack of facilities and price. I personally think the cost/services ratio makes this park considerably overpriced. - Deck & Margot
