Nice location that is handy to a few restaurants and shopping. Gravel sites are too close together to make this enjoyable for more than a day or two. Not enough room for a picnic table, but a small two-seater bistro table is provided. Naturally no fire ring. Site was not long enough for tow car and we parked it behind on edge of road. However, owners/managers are really nice people, very pleasant to deal with. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Were here for 8 days. Friendly hosts, had a lot of fun playing miniature golf with family. We were in a pull-thru, but the sites on either side were so close that our canopy shaded our neighbor's slide. Site was barely long enough for our 37' 5th wheel and dually tow vehicle. Some sites had more space between them, but most appeared to be almost as close together as ours. Met many nice people in park. We enjoyed the area, because there was a lot to see and do. Probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Black Canyon of the Gunnison is beautiful! Wish we had time to explore North Side, too. Ouray is a cute town at the base of the mountains, about 45 minutes away. Million Dollar highway is beyond that, going to Silverton. Enjoyed Ridgway State Park, about 20 minutes away. Nice size lake we kayaked, and has very nice picnic areas.

Brought our travel trailer for a long weekend. Apparently, the park has recently changed hands, per the gentleman we spoke with, who identified himself as the new owner, having bought the park two weeks ago. Overall, we had a great stay. Our pull-through site was level and clean, with full hookups, as described. One negative with our site, in particular, was that it was completely treeless and without shade. On the other hand, it was also significantly wider than other sites, which let us set up a portable fire pit some distance from our trailer. Bathroom and showers were clean and well maintained, but are showing their age. I found the showers to be great for pressure and temperature, but they're a bit cramped and definitely too dark. The park lacks a pool or hot tub, but it does have a miniature golf course, which was a welcome diversion. I would consider staying here again should my travels take me this way. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice, shady park in town within walking distance to several restaurants. Nice mini golf and large, grassy dog park. Sites somewhat close together and several on the back row near the dog park need more gravel, including our Site #17. It rained and snowed and due to lack of gravel was rather muddy right around our rig. Would stay again but would check on gravel situation at our site. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A park with at great location to visit Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Also the city of Quray and Ridgeway. The park is a little hard to find as it is behind a shopping center. Park is well kept but a little tight in places. Most of the 40 sites are pull thru's with full hookups and a limited cable. All sites and roads were gravel. There was a small metal table with 2 chairs at our site. not sure if other sites had a picnic table. The trees were welcomed with the high temperatures we were experiencing. We were there in July. One or 2 Restaurants within walking distance. If in the area in the future we would opt to stay at another park. The staff was very friendly and escorted us to our site. Our site and al the park was very well kept and clean. There is a fenced in pet area and a lot of area to walk pets. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

A nice park, friendly staff; right in town and close to everything in Montrose, but quiet at night. Lots of trees provide good shade but may interfere with satellite reception. Mostly pull-through sites but some back-ins. Level gravel sites with lots of grass in the park. Cable TV but not many channels and some of them did not work or had poor reception. We never were able to connect to the Wi Fi. Not much in the way of amenities except for a mini gold course and playground. Only about 20 minutes to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very helpful staff, went out of their way to make sure everyone got into their sites and gave great suggestions on where to go and what to see. All sites seemed to be pull thru with full hookups and a picnic table. A lot of trees for shade but it does cut down the ability to get satellite. Don't follow GPS directions into the park if you can avoid it. The GPS systems all seem to bring you thru a congested alleyway behind a shopping strip. We recommend calling and getting directions from the staff at the park. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not the place to come for ambiance, but it's close to town and convenient. All gravel lot and for a larger motorhome (we are 43 ft.) it's a bit tight getting around. That is mostly because the sites are not long and everyone has to park their vehicles in the driveways between rows. The site next to ours (we were in the back row) had a huge tree in the front of the site. We watched a smaller MH try to park there and they broke their mirror on the tree! There is no way they would have fit in that site, so not sure why they were put there. They ended up parking behind the tree, which left the back of their coach hanging out in the driveway, which meant no one could get through that way. The dog park is big, but in the week we were there, no one emptied the trash bin and is was overflowing with poop filled bags. It is also basically weeds and dirt, but thankfully no goat head stickers. The owner is super nice, but I think we would opt to stay elsewhere if we came through again. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

We made our reservation 6 months prior (family reunion) & would be next to one of the family members, when we arrived we were told that spot was not available even though it was empty. We were put in site 6 which has little shade in the am & total sun in the pm. What disappointed us was the fact we made reservations 6 months prior for 9 nights and we were given a site with no shade, many shady sites were vacated daily. Overall this is a nice park, the owners are friendly & helpful. Clean facilities, interior roads & sites are gravel, our site required no leveling. We would return to this park. The rate reflects Good Sam & 7 night discount. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very neat and clean park! Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of shade and grass. Wifi was slow unless you are close to the office. Easy to get in and out of the park. It is a bit tricky to get to the park so I would call ahead for exact directions, We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Was a nice park to stay at. The host there was very helpful but the site that was assigned for us was full on arrival the trailer left one and a half after check out time.

The only down side for this park is the power supply, the 50amp is not available for all sites so even if our reunion asked to be together 6 months early there were not two 50amp together so when arrived they were in different sites. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed our 5 days here! It's not fancy, but is very clean and has everything we needed. The staff is super friendly. The gravel sites vary a lot in size, but they will find one that fits your rig. The entrance is sort of hard to find since you turn in on "Alley Way", which IS an alley and doesn't look like it would go anywhere. The owner is trying to work on his "curb appeal". But, the campground is a little oasis behind the stores. There's quite a bit of shade and a wonderful, grassy dog lot that my dogs loved! There's a fun, free miniature golf course. The campground is close to town and stores, and is conveniently located to lots of great day-trips. The bathrooms are nice and clean, as is the laundry. ($2.50 for washer and $1.00 for dryers) We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss the Museum of the Mountain West just a couple of miles down the road! Allow about 3 hours for the guided tour ($10). The museum has an incredible number of authentic items from the west. We had the collector/director as our guide, and he was wonderful!

Also, take a drive through the Grand Mesa....wonderful scenery!

We stayed three nights. The sites are level pull-throughs. Very clean rest rooms and showers. Dog park and plenty of space to walk dogs. Very nice free miniature golf course. Owners very friendly and helpful. Easy entry and exit. Large shade trees cover nearly every space. Quiet, off the main road but close to Montrose downtown. Has a smaller, intimate feeling. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park on the edge of Montrose. It is quiet and very attractive with flower plantings throughout. Sites are quite narrow with no room for picnic tables or fire rings, but small cocktail-size tables with two chairs are provided at each site. WiFi is quite good but cable TV had some annoying interruptions. Restrooms are spotless but if you are disabled be forewarned that there are several steps up to the facilities. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate with Good Sam card. An older, average RV park in town entered through an alley. Our site near the creek had a picnic table and nice square, mulched area with room for our chairs, so not all sites are as described in other reviews. Showers a bit dark and confining but sink area in restroom has been updated with Corian counters. I would not reserve here again in advance due to policy of charging credit card with the full stay at time of making the reservation; similar campgrounds charge for one night at most or simply hold the card number in case of a no-show. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.
