Awesome park - would have rated 10 if it had a fenced in off leash dog area. Really nice park - be sure to ask for a site on back due to road noise up front. About 15 minutes from town. Very long sites, gravel with a lot of wonderful grass between sites. Lanes are wide and gravel. Beautiful large trees throughout the park. Sites very roomy. Park exceptionally well cared for. Hook ups worked well. Good cable TV. WIFI okay. Nice town of Montrose. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely return. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was a blessing after 3 weeks of travels. It was about 1/4 full as closing was approaching. It is close to the highway but we were in the rear portion near open fields so it was quiet. Sites and roads are gravel. It was windy 1 day but I didn't notice any dust. Roads are wide and easy to get around. Sites are long with plenty of room for our rig. Utilities are between sites so RV's are set front to back with a good grass space for each. Thet are only a few over the air tv stations but our roof top satellite was able to lock in well. Staff was very friendly and had our site ready when we arrived and we checked in quickly later in the day. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed a week. The season was ending here the second week of October and the park only had a dozen sites occupied. We had a patio side end spot which was awesome. We had to pay $18 extra for use of the 50 amp service. HUGE grassy patio area with picnic table, two shade tress and a flower bed. The patio was so huge that RVers tended to walk through it on the way to the trash, the only down side. The sites are pull through and arranged so that you share the utility side and share a patio, unless you get one of the end spots and have the patio to yourself. The interior roads are gravel, wide and easy to navigate. The sites are gravel and level with grass patios and picnic tables. Each shared patio has a nice large shade tree. The utilities worked fine. There is no cable and just a few over the air. Satellite reception was good. The absolute star was the WiFi.....killer. So nice to see an RV park commit to good WiFi. Management was nice and very helpful with suggestions on what to do. Even had free Colorado state maps. The restrooms are very nice but the water in the shower was not hot enough. Very convenient to everything. A little highway noise but not too bad. Beautiful starry nights. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Last Dollar Road 12 miles west of Ridgway is an excellent off pavement road that takes you to Telluride. Dennis Weaver Memorial Park just north of Ridgway is very cool.

We stayed at this park for a over a week during September. It was a great jumping off point for Montrose, Black Canyon, Telluride, Ouray, etc. The sites are nice and wide, and long enough to easily accommodate our 40ft rig + tow. There is green grass between sites, but you do face your neighbor. I didn't mind, as we weren't outside at the same time.

The sites have trees, some provide ample shade, and some too skinny for shade. There is road noise, but I could sit outside and read without being distracted by it. The scenery is amazing; you can see the San Juan's in the distance.

The staff was very friendly, and constantly ride around the park to make sure everything is in tip top shape. No issues with cell service or wifi. The park is a good size, and easy to navigate. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We came without a reservation but there was "Room at the Inn".

Camp Hosts welcomed us with enthusiastic kindness. The next morning the Managers were full of the same energy and spirit.

The grounds are beautiful and clean. The bathrooms are extremely clean. The Wifi is super fast. There are full trees in some spots and new trees growing in others. Our spot had shade which was nice.

What else can I say. We are already making plans for a return to the area next year and we will definitely stay here again! It's worth every cent.

Even though this is by the highway it was still nice and quiet. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great park to visit Montrose, Ouray, Telluride. I like the layout. Large deep and wide sites. When you sit outside you are not looking at your neighbors sewer line and other hook ups. There is a nice grassy area between you and the other facing coach. The sites are deep so you do not but up against the neighbor on the utility side. The coaches are back to back - no issue with slides looking at each other. Great staff. Only issue is the sites closest to the highway get road noise. The streets and sites are all gravel, but no issue with dust. We will be back and stay longer. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed 4 nights. Very central to see Montrose, Ouray, Silverton, and Telluride. Would definitely stay again. This park is right off Hwy 550 so is fairly noisy during the day. But by sundown the traffic drops to near zero so is great to sit outside and enjoy the evening. We noted 2 negatives. One being the daytime traffic noise, but this could be reduced by requesting a site near the back. The second is that all lots are paired so that you face your neighbor. We just do not care for this layout and would not have stayed here except that since they were not busy they gave us a site with no one on the opposing side. Staff was very friendly, gave us an escort to our site, and checked back after we had hooked up to see if every thing was OK. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed this park. Nice level and long gravel sites. The way it is configured is that you park side to side but not looking into your neighbors rig. Nice size grassy area with picnic tables. The park only had about 10 other people there at this time of year so that made it even better. Wifi was excellent. Only OTA TV and very few stations. The park is about 10 miles from Montrose which is a perfect size town and has everything you would need. Ridgway State Park is 5 miles away and the town of Ouray is about 10 more miles past that. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This well-maintained park is ten miles south of Montrose, with beautiful views of the San Juan and Uncompahgre mountains. Sites are large with some grass between them. WiFi was robust. Row ends are best for satellite dishes. Rate reflects a 3-for-2-day special. Managers are enthusiastic off-roaders who will sugggest trips in the area. Tips for other Campers:

Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park is about ten miles east of Montrose and worth a couple of days touring. Drive down a 16% grade to the river via the East Portal road. Excellent dining at the Stone House in Montrose, a town with most of the national chain stores on its south end.

This was a monthly rate. We stay here nearly every summer for 5-6 weeks. A great base camp for the Western Slope and the beauty of the area is tough to beat. Excellent WiFi, if you can imagine that! Each site has grass & tables and most have trees. Staff does an excellent job all the way around. Many 4 wheel enthusiasts come for the summer. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is located about 10 miles south of Montrose on the road to Ouray. It is very nicely maintained with wide roads and very long and wide spaces, fairly level gravel sites with nice green grass, excellent showers and laundry facilities. The Internet is good (though the campground was not heavily occupied when we were there) but TV is poor...no cable and only four air stations not including NBC. It does not have a pool or store or firepits. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay her again. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Ouray is worth the trip in season, a bit quiet at other times. There's a full range of stores nearby (City Market-Kroger, Target, Home Depot, Wallyworld, and others). Montrose has many chain and independent restaurants. Only one movie theater...3 screens. There are nearby areas for runners and lots of outdoor activities for the adventurous.

Our $28 per night was a stay-two-nights-and-get-the-third-night-free deal (they do accept Good Sam and Passport America one night discounts). We had a level gravel site with full hookups but no picnic table or fire ring. The campground has many large trees scattered throughout so some sites have some shade during the day. There is a curbside grass area to share with your neighbor. The sites are fairly close to one another on the street-side but you don’t feel cramped, as there is still plenty of room for a 40’ motorhome and tow vehicle lengthwise. The park staff was very friendly and helpful. Many activities are available nearby. Montrose is the nearest city and it has most everything anyone might need. AT&T and Verizon services were both acceptable. We used the park Wi-Fi for internet access and it worked well. There were six OTA TV stations. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend and it was full to the point they posted a sign on the office door saying tent spaces only. All services except cable worked fine. Spaces are roomy, most with grass. Management was friendly and helpful, not that we needed any help. We were on the front row next to the highway so noise was somewhat of a bother, although we also have stayed several rows back from the highway and did not notice noise. Rate shown is week night with Passport America discount. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We use this campground whenever we're in the area. The only negative is that there is no dog walking area. They request that you walk your dog around the perimeter that use to have grass, but is now gravel. Campground is convenient to all of the sights in that area or Colorado.
